Chapter 3

Alisha's Pov

It's late at night but Axel still isn't there. There's probably nothing wrong if I wait for him, right, so here I am sitting on the sofa in the living room. Maybe he will come later too.

I've been waiting here in the living room for an hour but he still isn't there. He seems to be busy with his work again. Is his routine always like this? If this is the case, he will neglect his health.

I didn't realize that deep in my thoughts I fell asleep.

Axel's Pov

I just got home from work, it was already one o'clock because I had a lot to deal with at the company, add the investigation into the company's lost money and the destruction of some of the company's products.

I immediately parked my car in the garage and got out and entered the house. It's easy for me to enter because the door isn't locked. Tsk is that girl really careless? What if someone steals from the house, he doesn't even have a companion because we haven't gotten a maid yet.

I was about to go upstairs when I noticed the figure of someone lying on the sofa so I frowned and approached it only to see that it was the stupid girl. I call her stupid because sometimes she acts like one.

But, what is she doing here? Is she waiting for me? On that thought I didn't realize that I was smiling but I immediately changed it to a blank expression and picked up Alisha.

I put her on her bed and frowned. I don't know what's gotten into myself because I kissed him on his forehead. It doesn't look good anymore. I turned off the lights and closed the door then went straight to my room. I need a quick shower to refresh myself because of what happened today.

I woke up because of the noise coming from my cellphone. I took it from the bed side table and answered the call.

"Hmm.. Alisha's speaking?" I answered the phone sleepily

"Alisha grandpa." Grandfather's voice jolted me out of bed.

"Why were you summoned? Is there a problem?" I asked and got off the bed and opened the sliding door to the terrace.

"There is no daughter but your husband has told me that you have returned from Manila."

"Ah yes. We are back."

"I'm glad to hear that, hija but can you come here to the house? I miss my beautiful grandson so much."

"Sure grandpa, I don't have anything to do now."

"Oh, I'll take it down and be careful when traveling."

"Yes. Alright grandpa and I'll get ready. I love you muah!" I ended the call and went back inside the room then entered the bathroom to do my morning routine.

A few moments later I finished doing my morning routine and I was ready to leave. I looked up at the wall clock and saw that it was already 10am. It's quarter to 11. Did I sleep that long?

I left the room and went downstairs. I didn't catch up with anyone so I went to the kitchen and saw some food ready but there was a basket with a lid on it and a sticky note on it.

'I'm leaving early because I have something important to take care of at the company but I cook your breakfast so before you leave eat this at least. Don't do such stupid things.'

I hope it's okay, but why are there still stupid people? Hey, but at least he cooked me breakfast so I forgive him for calling me stupid.

I quickly sat down and started eating. After I eat, I first put away what I ate and washed since there were only a few things to wash. When I made sure that everything was in order, I went out and locked the door. Even if I reach grandpa's house at night, Axel has a duplicate key so he can still enter the house.

I got into one of Axel's cars because I had one of the car keys. My car is not here yet because it is still at grandpa's house. I intend to have it delivered here so that I don't have to borrow a car from Axel even though he has many cars.

It was only an hour's flight and I arrived at grandpa's house. The guard opened the gate for me when they recognized me so I parked in the garage.

When I got off I was immediately greeted by nanny Soledad, she is the butler at grandpa's house and it has been a long time since she worked here.

"Your grandfather has been waiting inside hija." He said. I smiled and walked into the house. I immediately saw grandfather sitting in the living room reading the newspaper.

"Grandpa." I call attention to this. He looked at me and immediately stood up and hugged me. I really miss my grandfather.

"Good and you're here. Aren't you with your wife?" He asked as he pulled away from the hug.

"It's not. You know what kind of person my husband was, isn't he a super workaholic that's why he left early. I think there's an emergency at his company." I explain here.

"It's a shame then. Or let's go to the dinning area and our lunch is ready. Now I can eat with you again." I agreed and we walked to the dining area.

We just talked and laughed while eating. He told me about my experience when we were on the ridge. Grandpa even teased that he would have a great-grandchild, but I immediately objected to that because nothing happened to Axel and us, and what will he think when he finds out that we are talking about this kind of thing, right?

When we finished eating and we went straight to the garden behind the mansion. This is my grandfather and I's favorite spot because instead of wandering around when we have a picnic, we just do it here because the atmosphere and ambiance here is good.

"I am really sorry for putting you in this kind of situation grandpa. If I had a choice, I would not force you to marry the daughter of your father's friend." There was so much sadness in his voice that I patted him on the shoulder and smiled.

"Don't be sorry grandpa. I understand and you know that my marriage will bring good things and Axel is also kind and so are his parents. Let's just forget grandpa and we should focus on our life now." I hug him to comfort him and he hugs me back.

"I'm really lucky to have an understanding grand daughter like you. You really are an inheritance from your mother." I just laugh and hug him tight.

I have spent the night here at home because grandpa said that he wants to join me in eating dinner, so we are now at the dining table and eating.

"By the way, Hija, I'm leaving and I have to go to Paris to take care of some things." Grandpa started while wiping his mouth with a tissue.

"Why all of a sudden lo? Is there a problem?" I asked here and took a bite of food.

"Nothing, but I haven't visited Paris in a long time and I also want to know the state of our business there, so I'm going."

"Ah then I will miss you grandpa and please always take care of yourself and eat at the right time." I said with a smile and wiped my mouth because I was done eating.

"Hahaha you made me a child Alisha. Who is the elder of the two of us?" Grandpa laughed and said that I just sneered. "Er.. is it bad to worry about you grandpa and you're the only family I have left so I can't allow anything bad to happen to you." Grandpa just shook his head and later laughed.

It looks like my grandfather has gone crazy again.

After we ate our dinner, I also said goodbye to go home with Axel. I don't know if he came home or if he is still at work.

"Be careful driving or you might have an accident." I just smiled and nod my head and kiss him on the cheeks before I enter the car and start the engine then the car was started.

I also reached home immediately since there was no more traffic unlike before when I was going to grandpa's house.

I parked the car and got out. The light is on so it means Axel is home. I don't know why I felt joy in my heart.

When I entered I saw him on the sofa watching TV. Woah.. this is the first time that he is not watching on a laptop. Maybe he has done what he needs to do.

"Have you been home yet?" I asked and sat beside him.

"Yeah. Why are you just now?" He asked in a cold voice. It's always like that. When did you show emotion?

"Grandpa invited me to dinner, so I'm here now. Uhm, have you eaten yet?" I asked her and she shook her head to my surprise. "Why aren't you eating? You know it's bad to go hungry, right? Go ahead, you'll get an ulcer."

"I'm waiting for you." My heart pounded because of what he said. I does that mean he waited for me so we could eat together? I don't know about myself but I felt butterflies in my stomach and I felt like my cheeks were already red so I bent down to hide the redness.

"W-why?" Shit I stuttered.

"I want to eat with you. Your my wife after all." I looked at him and I couldn't help but smile and I was also stunned by his face.

I know it's not the first time I've looked at the face but guys! He is handsome, brown eyes, thick eyelashes, pointed nose, kissable lips and his jawline is perfect. Maybe when god rained beauty he caught everyone.

"Stop eye raping me woman. You look like a pervert that is ready to devour me." I blinked and saw him smiling.

Argh! I hope the floor opens up and swallows me. Shame on you mars!

"O-oy no way.." I defended but he just grinned and stood up so I followed him and saw him enter the kitchen.

"Aish. You're so self-evident! That's embarrassing." I chastised myself and stood up with a frown then followed him into the kitchen.

I saw him preparing food on the table. So it turned out that he had already cooked but he really waited for me. Oh how sweet of him..

"Are you eating again?" This is a question. I told him that I already had dinner. I sat on the chair and leaned down. "Just milk will do." I'm already full so I'll just drink milk. It just nodded and I mixed it with milk.

After a while, he placed a glass of milk and a plate of chocolate cake in front of me. My face lit up because chocolate is my favorite. No matter what kind it is, as long as it's chocolate, I'll eat it.

I happily poured the cake and he started eating. We were quiet until we finished eating. I volunteer myself to be the one to wash the food we ate since he did the cooking.

After I washed all the dishes, I went up to my room because I didn't see Axel in the living room, most likely he was already in his room.

I changed into sleepwear, just a big t-shirt and pajamas because I sometimes wear nighties.

I immediately lay down on the bed because I just now felt tired. After a while, I started feeling sleepy and completely fell asleep.
