Chapter 5

Alisha's POV

I woke up because of a noise coming from downstairs. The noise can be heard until here. are they not aware that someone is sleeping here?

Because of my annoyance, I jumped out of bed and left the room. I looked down where I immediately saw the living room and frowned as to who was down there.

"Mama Zyrine?" I don't know if I said it out loud on purpose or if he just heard it really loud even though my voice was low.

"Oh my dear daughter in law. Did I wake you up?" I smiled and scratched my forehead.

"G-good morning mom.." I greeted her shyly. How come I'm conscious of my appearance like duh I just woke up and for sure I still look like a witch hmp.

"Hija, it's not a morning. It's past 12pm. Oh by the way fix yourself and I will show you something." I just nodded and quickly entered the room and then did what had to be done.

A few moments later I was done with everything so I left the room and went downstairs. As before, mama Zyrine is still in the living room but she is eating a snack and looking at the brochure.

"Or you're already there. Come hija and look at it." I followed him and sat next to him. "Look o diba, the gowns will be beautiful and look elegant. What do you think?"

"Your right mama. It's what they called simple yet elegant. Why would you buy it?" I asked and took a cookie. I just woke up and my stomach is empty.

"Yes. The company will have an annual event and you need to be presentable for it. I won't let them look down on you so I'm looking for the gown that suits you." He said with a smile. My eyes widened because of what he said.

"Annual event? Where at Axel's company?"

"Hahaha no. Not in your husband's company but in our own company. We will also introduce you to the employees as our daughter in law." He said more. I was nervous because at our wedding, the guests were only relatives and close friends, so people didn't know that their most famous business tycoon in the whole world was married.

"B-but mom isn't too much? Then how about Axel? He might be angry that you will introduce me to your employees, you know what I mean, right mom?"

"Don't worry about my son, Alisha. I already talked to him about this matter and he happily agreed." Woah... Seriously? I thought he wouldn't agree because first of all before we got married he said I would be his secret wife so why did he agree? What made him change his mind?

I didn't say a word and just ate a snack while mom continued to look at the brochure of gowns.

We are now at the dining table eating lunch. Mom and I were the only two because Axel hadn't come home yet and dad Ty was taking care of the upcoming annual event.

By the way, we already have maids here at home and mama Zyrine herself hired them because I also lost my mind about hiring maids, fortunately mama thought of that.

"So I will pick you up tomorrow so we can go to Ella's boutique. The day after tomorrow is the annual event so I need you to prepare. Don't worry your husband will come with us as well. He's the one who escorts you in that event." It's a long story that I just nodded.

Our meal ended peacefully until he said goodbye to go home because his pick-up was already outside.

"Take care mom." I said and kissed her on the cheeks. She smiled and hugged me before she entered the car. I waved my hand as the car drove away haha..

I entered the house and met a maid. We only have three maids here since there isn't much to do because we are the only two people here.

"Ma'am, you have a call." He said and handed me the phone.

"Yes, Alisha's speaking."

["Wife." ] My chest heaved because of the voice I heard. Come on! Do I have heart disease? Should I consult the doctor for this matter?

"W-why?"

[ "Your stuttering wife. Are you okay?" ] There is concern in his voice. I don't know but since that night when he followed me to the bar, he has been acting differently towards me. He's not that cold anymore and sometimes I see him smiling which is not like when we first got married.

"Yes I'm okay husband. Why did you call?" It's good that I didn't stutter anymore. By the way, we call them husband and wife. Or isn't it sweet hehehe..

"I just want to tell you that I can't go home tonight because I have to finish my paper works so I can meet you at the annual event. Mom already discussed it with you right?"

"Ahh yes, it's over. Or fine, just don't stay up too late or you might get eyebags and not be handsome." I said smiling and giggling. I heard his sigh on the other line.

"Tss. As if." That's all he said and hung up.

I went up to the room smiling.

'Just a little husband and I will fall for you. I just hope when that day comes you will catch me.'

Axel's Pov

"Good day to you Mr. Carter. I have a good news for you." Attorney Guazon said after shaking hands with me. He is my private investigator and he is also the one I assigned to investigate about the damaged products and the loss of a lot of money in the company.

"Have a sit attorney." I agreed and it followed.

"I have already gathered information and you are right, there is a traitor in your company. That traitor works for your enemies and their main goal is to bring down you and your company." He said long and he reached for something from a brown envelope. "In that envelope is the traitor's background and other details about where he worked." I nodded my head and said that I will transfer my payment to his bank account. After that he also left my office.

I opened the envelope and read what was inside. After a while I started to smile.

Who would have thought that he was the traitor who dared to fight someone like me. He didn't know who he was bumping into.

'Be ready fucker.'

Alisha's Pov

"Oh my! You look really beautiful hija. That gown suits you very well, right guys." Mama happily said to the sales ladies who were here.

"Yes, the gown suits her and she is like a goddess. How to be you!" I laughed at what a sales lady said.

As what mama Zyrine told me yesterday, we did go here to Ella's Botique to buy a gown that I will wear tomorrow. Yes! I only have a gown because mom said she already has one for her so she just went with me.

"Perfect! Or she Ella will get it again wearing her gown. I can't wait for tomorrow's event. I'm sure your gonna be very beautiful and stunning tomorrow Alisha." I blushed at what mom said. I'm really fluttered for it.

"Sure ma'am." Only Ella answered which is the owner of this boutique. It's obvious because the name of his boutique is just like my restaurant, right?

After we bought my gown, they said it will be delivered tomorrow because it still needs to be fixed and mom agreed.

Now we are here at the mall and we are going to buy accessories and heels that will match my gown.

In fact, I already have a lot of gowns, heels and even accesories but mama Zyrine insisted that we go shopping for new ones so I agreed knowing mama I'm sure she'll just tease me.

We went to a few shops but mom still wasn't satisfied and we shopped a lot until we felt hungry and decided to eat at a fast food chain that we passed earlier here at the mall.

"Mama just find our seat and I will order." I said smiling. Aunt agreed and I went to the counter. I just ordered a fried chicken, rice, pasta, french fries and a glass of iced tea.

I reached for my atm card and later it was returned to me so I looked for mom and immediately saw her by the window. Because this fast food has a glass wall, we can see what's outside and we can see you from the outside as well.

"What have you ordered yet?" He asked sitting in front of her.

"Yes. They are just taking care of our order and will bring it here. By the way mom, I don't know what you want so I just order random foods." I said. I forgot to ask him what he wanted.

"It's fine Alisha. I'm not picky about food as long as I'm full hahaha.." . I just laughed with her and a few moments later our food order arrived.

We immediately devoured it until we were full and left the fast food chain.

"So where are we going mom? I think we've bought everything we need."

"Your right. Do you want to buy anything else? Anything you want I won't mind."

"No more. I just want to go home because I'm already tired."

"It turns out we're the same hahaha because we toured for a long time. Just kidding, we spent two hours here at the mall just touring so I think we should go home for us to rest." I agreed with what he said and we left the mall. We went to where the car was parked and got in, then the driver started the car.

Third Person's Pov

Axel was enveloped in a dark aura while sitting in his chair in the conference room. He summoned that traitor because now he will punish him.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Sir, Mr. Chua is here." his secretary's voice spoke from outside.

"Come in." He said coldly without looking at the behavior of the door.

The door opened and the smiling Mr. Chow. Yes, you are right, Mr. Chua is the traitor in his company.

"Good day, sir. Carter, what can I do for you?" This is a polite question. Axel looked up and gave mr. a cold look. Chow.

"So, your the one ha.." Axel's voice was cold and terrifying as he played with the ballpoint pen in his hand.

The expression of mr. Chua looked up at Axel who was now smiling at him. His whole body immediately shuddered because he knew that the young man woke up differently. Scary and terrifying.

"W-what would you like to s-say sir?" It was a stuttering question.

"Oh c'mon Chua cut that stupid act of yours. Don't act like you didn't do anything in this company. Don't clean up." The surprised expression of mr. Chua was replaced by nervousness and later fear.

"I-I can't p-understand you s-sir.." Axel stood up and hit the table hard which made mr jump. Chua was very surprised.

"Fuck! Why did you do that Chua? I trusted you but d*mn you fucking betray me!" He screamed and the vein in his neck came out.

"I.. i didn't mean to d-do it sir. I-I just really needed money so I was able to betray you." He said this shaking and kneeling on the floor in so much fear and nervousness.

"You can't fool me again Chua and now face your punishment." After Axel said that, the door opened and the men in black entered.

"S-sir don't do this to me. I-I have a family waiting for me. forgive me."

"I trust you once Chua but you betray me and forgiving isn't in my vocabulary." He said coldly and turned to the men in black. "You know what to do."

The men in black immediately obeyed and pulled mr. Chua is struggling and begging but he's too heartless to hear his pleading.

This is his darkest secret. A secret that should be hidden as long as he can especially now that he has a wife. He needs to protect her at all costs.
