Chapter 1

Alisha's Pov

We are now at the wedding reception and are currently sitting in the seats assigned to us as bride and groom while the guests are seated in front of us.

I could only force a smile because first of all I would rather go home and lie on my bed than sit here with my husband.

I really don't like him being near me because of the strange aura that surrounds his entire being. He's cold as ice! Since we traveled here, I haven't heard him speak and he hasn't even looked at me. Not that I want him to notice me but hey I'm his wife and he should at least talk to me but he doesn't have the coldness to deal with.

"Ehem! Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I am your emcee for tonight's celebration. I know some of you want to see our newly wed couple to perform their first ever dance as a husband and wife." I stopped in my thoughts when the gay emcee spoke at the bottom of the mini stage.

Because we are positioned at the top of the mini stage so all the guests can see us clearly while the food is positioned on the side and there are also waiters who bring drinks such as wine or juice.

All the guests cheered and I almost fell asleep if my eyes hadn't caught the smiling Grandpa Andro.

"Okay Okay! Calm your nerves and let us witness the performance of our newly wed couple!" He said and left the stand to take a seat.

I couldn't do anything but stand up. I thought my husband wouldn't be with me, but to my surprise he supported me and gently held my hand and gently pulled me to the platform just below the mini stage.

Romantic music started playing and the spotlight was focused on us.

But what? Am I stupid? Woah, if only we weren't at the center of attraction, I would have bumped into this guy. Just how rude of him to call me stupid? Argh! He's getting on my nerves!

I was forced to put my hand on his shoulder while his hand crawled around my waist making my fur stand up.

I don't know but I feel like I was electrocuted by his hand especially since I felt his caress on my waist.

We moved slowly and accompanied the melodious song as if we were the only two people here. I wanted to look away, but it seemed like someone was preventing me from looking away, so the ending was that we stared at each other and if someone else looked at us, it was as if we were truly in love, even though he really wasn't.

Until the song ended, but he still didn't let go of me and kept staring at me deeply, so I felt lost. He was so deep as to stare as if he could see the depths of my soul. There was no expression in his eyes so I don't know what he was thinking at this time.

I just came back to reality when I heard the applause of the people so I quickly let go of him and thankfully he let go of me.

I just smiled at her because I felt like my face was red. Gosh! I blushed.

The emcee sent us back to our seats and my wife was all supportive of me. I don't know if he is sincere in what he is showing or if he is just showing off. But for sure it's just his person because he doesn't want to have a bad image in people's eyes.

We had a great night and there was no problem.

"O he, take care on the flight, Axel, take care and protect this wife of yours." Aunt said as her son widened his eyes before turning to me smiling. "Alisha my dear just tell us if this son of ours leaves you alone and I will be the one to punish him." I smiled and nodded my head.

We are here outside the reception hall and I am now getting into the car while Axel is still outside being reminded by his mommy. We are going to one of Axel's family's resorts for our honeymoon. Err.. no honeymoon will happen.

"Mom stop that. We're leaving." Axel said and kissed his mommy's cheek and entered my side. I just waved my hand at my grandfather who was smiling at us and the same at Mama Zyrine and Papa Tyron.

"Baby! take care always!" The last time I heard mama Zy scream and our car drove away.

I sighed and looked out the window. Hey. what can happen to us where we are going?

It was twelve midnight when we arrived at Axel's family resort. The driver parked the car right in front of the house where we will stay for a few days.

The man got down and opened the door for me because my good wife entered the house first and didn't even wait for me to come down. Arghh.. he's really annoying.

I thanked him when I got down and followed Axel. The house is beautiful and has two floors. The house is clean and you won't see any dust in any corner of the house. It's obvious that it's a pet.

I went up to the second floor of the house because the rooms were there and because I wanted to stretch out on the bed, I immediately entered a room that I saw and I didn't look at the design of the whole room. I just lay down.

Hey.. this day is really tiring..

Third Person's Pov

Alisha was fast asleep in the big bed and she didn't realize which room she entered. Due to the intensity of his fatigue from what happened today, he immediately fell asleep.

On the other hand a man came out from the bathroom. He had just finished taking a shower and only had a towel around his waist.

He was about to walk to his walk in closet when he noticed a young woman sound asleep in her bed. He approached it and frowned at what he saw.

'what is she doing here?'

"Woman wakes up." He woke up the girl but instead of waking up she just frowned and turned her back. He pinched his nose in disgust and glared at the woman in his bed. "Didn't you hear me? I said wake up and get out of my room stupid." He said this annoyed but got no answer so the young man went to the walk in closet and got dressed in jogging pants and a shirt.

After he came out of his walk in closet, he went straight to a sofa in the room and took his laptop. For sure many people have emailed him about businesses.

Axel Gray Carter is a very workaholic person that's why at his young age he had a business and it grew. Many people want to bring down his company but no one succeeds because he is so good at handling his businesses. He is also known as a Cold-hearted Billionaire, that's what people call him.

Alisha's Pov

I woke up because of the sun rays hitting my face. I rubbed my eyes and tensed up too.

I looked around the room and almost had a heart attack because of the person I saw sitting on the sofa and facing his laptop.

ayt! Why is he here in my room?'

"Staring is rude." I was surprised to look at him when he spoke but his eyes were still focused on his laptop. err? How did he know that I was staring at him?

"W-what are you doing here in my room?" I still stammered because our atmosphere was just awkward.

I heard him tsk but his attention was still on his laptop. "Really? Are you sure this is your room?" I frowned because of what he said. "What are you saying?"

"Tsk. Your really stupid. Look around and tell me that this is your room." I followed my gaze and almost fainted because I saw picture frames hanging on the wall.

Gosh that's embarrassing. I thought no one owned this room, but I'm wrong. This room is from the ice age.

'argh!! Earth swallow me up!'

I was embarrassed and looked away and ran out of that room.

"That's very embarrassing! How did I know that that room belonged to him?" I said to myself. But wait? If that room is his, does that mean we sleep next to each other? Damn! This is such a shame.

I'm here right now at the beach and I'm walking because I'm suffocating in that house. Axel is busy and you have a meeting on his laptop. He works very hard and even when eating, his attention is still on his laptop. Very workaholic person.

I got my phone on my pocket because it vibrated. I saw grandfather Andro's name on the screen so I immediately answered it.

"Yes?"

"Alisha my dear, are you doing fine there? Didn't your husband leave you alone?" ] Grandpa asked with obvious joy in his voice.

"Yes lo, I'm doing fine and he's not neglecting me. He's just quit busy on his business." I answered while continuing to walk along the beach.

"I'm glad to hear that, hija. Anyway I'll take it down and I have a meeting. Always take care and remember that I always love you, grandpa." I smiled at what grandpa said and I say my i love you too and hang up the call.

My family is only grandfather Andro because my parents are gone. They died in a car accident 5 years ago and grandfather Andro took care of me since then, that's why I owe him a lot and I love my grandfather very much.

So back to the story, I just keep walking along the beach while watching people happily paddling in the sea. Today is the weekend so many people are here at the resort enjoying their weekend.

"So are you enjoying the view here?" Axel asked and took a bite of food. It's lunch time so we're eating. It's a miracle that there is no laptop in front of it now.

"Hmm of course. The view here at your beach resort is beautiful and I'm really enjoying myself walking around." I answered with a smile. It's true.

"This is not just our resort but yours as well." He said without looking at me so I frowned because of what he said. "What do you mean? Isn't this really yours and why did I get involved? Am I part of the Carter family?" I asked laughing and took a big bite. I'm hungry.

"Stupid." I was about to whine because he had called me stupid so many times when I fell to my seat because of what he said next. "Of course your my wife now so that's why this beach resort is yours as well."
