Sister Barirah withdrew from the armchair she was sitting in and stood to her feet in astonishment. I had narrated what happened between me and Abdullah few days back to her. "Tell me you're just joking". She said to me, she couldn't believe me.
I gulped. "And why should I even lie about this, Sister Barirah?". I adjusted my sitting position and heaved a sigh with a smile. "He was late for work, but he took me to his bed despite that. Maybe I was too erotic, he actually couldn't ignore me. He did it like a hungry wolf". I smirked.
"Balqis, that was really amazing!". Sister Barirah blurted out, and started dancing while praising God with her ankara... The kind of dance she mastered the most. It was the same dance she did during my wedding reception.
I only watched her while giggling. She thought she could dance for Africa, but she was all wrong. Although she could dance better than me, I was someone that could not dance at all. Even on my wedding day, I only shook my body that's all. Abdullah held my hand that day and danced with me. I was so coy. It was the best day ever!
As soon as Sister Barirah was done dancing and praising God, she gently walked and settled down on the couch I was sitting on, and held my hand while breathing heavily. She was exhausted. "I'm really_really happy for you Balqis, I am just happy everything is now back to normal". She said.
Thus, I expelled the happiness in my face with a huge sigh... And just as I was about telling her that things only got better during the intimate time, a horn interrupted me. It was the horn of Abdullah's car, he had promised to come pick me up in the evening.
I quickly withdrew from the couch to my feet. "Abdullah is here, I should get going". I blurted out, picking up my bag. I had to meet him in time before he give himself the wrong impression that I kept him waiting for me in the car.
Sister Barirah humbly escorted me to Abdullah's car outside. They both greeted while I humbly hopped into the front passenger seat... He giggled as she told him how handsome he looked that very moment. He was wearing the jalabiyah I bought him from Yusrah two days prior. They talked about his job, how complicated it was to be a teacher... She was a teacher too. And as soon as they were done talking, she bade us goodbye with a cheerful smile.
While in the car, as we were about reaching home, Abdullah broke the long silence that crept upon us ever since he began driving. I was scared of starting a conversation, and when he started one I was very happy.
"Mama is coming to live with us". He apprised me while concentrating on the road. He was driving gently, unlike other days that I would have to close my eyes due to his reckless driving.
"Mama? Wow, Ma Shaa Allah. It been long since she came to live with us. I would be glad to see her, when is she coming? Today?". I was curious, I really had miss her. She was someone that loved me like her very own.
"She's coming tomorrow, God's willing, and would stay for complete one month". He said and cleared his throat as he made a U-turn in the main junction. "I'm returning back to your room and, I suggest we act normal. I don't want her to suspect anything!".
I couldn't say anything to him after that, just a smile and a nod that's all. Finally, he would be returning back to my room... The room he banished himself from. Though not staying permanently, but for a time enough for me to bend him to the real Abdullah he was
