Zeus's p.o.v

'Wow....what a woman. ....did she she really punch you? And what a punch that was ..., we got our hands full with that one'. Shut up Zane, you and i both know that she punched me so dont rub it in' just so you know she didn't use her wolf strength when she punched you i could tell'... i said shut up! 'Ohh and just so you know your  nose is broken and bleeding'. ...

I thought i told you to shut up! 'Hey! Don't get mad at me its not my fault that you messed with my mate'. She's my mate too you idiot. 'I know but thats not how you treated her two weeks ago'... i know and am trying to make up for it so shut up and help me look for her.

After literally having an augmented in my head with Zane I quickly left my office and followed her scent only to find her having a panic attack in the path that lead to the north border of my territory which meant that she was leaving my territory. It pains me to see my mate crying to the point of having a panic attack becouse of me and so i rushed to her and carried her back to the pack house as i tried to calm her down.

'Why do we keep making mate cry...? 'Am sorry Zane it's always my fault i swear ill try to make it up to her. I slowly placed her on my bed and tucked her in .

After tucking her in i placed some bed sheet and a pillow on the floor next to the side of the bed that she is sleeping in just like i did yesterday. I couldn't sleep not because I was sleeping on the floor but because i couldn't get rid of the guilt that was eating me up inside for treating my mate less than the Queen that she is. With that thought in my head i fell asleep

"Zeus. ..no...no..ahhhhh..." those are the words that woke me up at night, i quickly looked around the room ready to attach only to see that my mate was having a nightmare again, my heart broke as i realised that i was the one responsible for giving her nightmares.

Lenny... Lenny...my queen please wake up its just a dream , I said as i tapped her arm .she  opened her arms and screamed as she pushed me away from her just like she did yesterday.

Are you ok ?.. "Am i ok! Am i ok! Thats what you are asking me? How can I be ok when my supposed mate is terrorising me in my dreams  , every fricken night!!"  She screamed as her hands went to the top of her head as she pulled at her hair out of anguish and frustration. I could feel how broken i had left her.

My hands were aching to wipe away the river of salty water that ran from her eyes. My arms were longing to have her wrapped around them as i consoled her and apologies for being a sorry excuse of a mate.

I couldn't look her in the eyes as i looked down to the floor in a shameful manner. Am sorry was all i said before the room went into a very tense moment of silence. My Queen exhaled as she sat back on the bed.

"Am sorry for snapping at you am just not in the right mood to talk at the moment " thats all she said as i went back to the floor near her and thought of ways to make it up to her. I could feel her looking at me so i said "its not your fault that you snapped it's mine so you shouldn't apologise for it, i take full responsibility for it"

Moments passed before she asked me why i sleep on the floor. "I don't want to be far away from you incase you realise that i dont deserve a mate as beautiful and strong as you and you decide  to leave me with my shattered heart which I would understand to some level. I dont sleep on the bed because I dont want to make you uncomfortable. I cant sleep on the couch bacouse i want to watch over you for i still can't believe that you are real and all mine , that's of course if you want to be"i answered her honestly.

You can sleep on the bed if you want i dont mind. I heard her sweet voice. "It's ok ,i wouldn't want to couse any more of your...ummm...nightmares"i answered her with a small smile.

"You won't couse more of my nightmares... wherether I like it or not you are still my mate and having you near me calms me down ... erregardless of our haunting past, i just want you to hold me so i feel safe and comfortable enough to fall asleep knowing that you will protect me that way i wont have nightmares, you'll protect me ryt?"

'Hurry up and go hold mate!! ' I ignored zane as he was eager to hold our mate and i dont blaim him. I'll protect you with all my strength i replied to her. I watched her as she opened the comforter and make space for me on the bed.

I ask her if she is sure incase she changes her mind which she responds to by pulling me down on the bed. I quietly layed down on my back as she lay on top of my chest with her arms on me and i swear to the moon goddess i never heard my heart beat so fast i just hoped it didn't keep her up .

'Hold her you idiot dont just lay there!' She thinks you don't want her.that's when I realised that lenny was pulling away from me looking deflated. Am sorry i didn't mean to make you feel bad i just can't believe that you are in my arms , please dont move away i like having you in my arms. I told my Queen as i lay her back down on my chest and pulled her close. She cuddled me as she drifted of to sleep while i kissed her head and wished her  good night. 'We should sleep like this every night' i totally agree with you on that one, I'll see if I can ask her tomorrow but I know I don't deserve it so I won't raise my hopes up. That was all it took for me to be transported into a world of dreams where my mate wasn't scared of me nor hate me.
