Chapter 7: Jude Evans.

“Jude looked pleased. "Moon... a pretty name for a pretty damsel like you," he complemented, earning a small smile from her. "Moon!? Hahahaha... you couldn't come up with another name," Lorraine laughed at her sister's choice of name. Eisley ignored her as she took a sip of her drink. "Tell me about yourself," she struck up a conversation while checking the time. "It's just past nine..." she took mental note. Jude heard her statement and chuckled. "You know, I was about to ask you to tell me about yourself, but you beat me to it." "What can I say? I'm inquisitive," Eisley said with a grin as she tapped her exposed thigh. Jude's eyes subconsciously went to her exposed thigh as his breath got caught up in his throat. "Yo! My eyes are up here," Eisley said with a small laugh. He smirked before taking a sip from his drink. "It's not my fault, lady." "I won't ask whose fault it is," Eisley grinned. "Haha... why not?" "Well, you'd say it's my fault, and I don't do well with false accusations," she said, a weird smile passing her face in a flash. Jude grinned inwardly as he thought, "I like you." "To answer your request, I'm here on a business meeting with my brother and the head of the companies he is investing in. I'm the second son... no much achievement, unlike my sex-driven brother," he said. His last remark made Eisley laugh as she dropped her champagne flute on the table. "Sex-driven? So you're saying your brother is literally a sex addict?" she asked. "Yeah, especially when he is pissed. I wonder who he got that trait from though. Definitely not from my mom, possibly from my dad," he analyzed, making her giggle. She asked, "What time is your meeting? Hope I'm not taking much of your time?" "Not at all. The meeting should be," he paused as he checked his Rolex days rainbow paved wristwatch. Eisley caught sight of it and mused, "He must be really rich to be able to afford that watch..." "... held around a few minutes to eleven," Jude completed as he adjusted his suit's sleeve to cover his watch. On hearing him, her eyes narrowed, "The same time..." she thought but soon masked her shocked face with a smile. "Oh okay then. Do you have anything else to tell me?" she asked. Lorraine suddenly spoke up, "He had better tell you his surname. I'm having a hunch that the brother he might be talking about is your target." Eisley frowned on hearing her. "What other thing do you want to know about me? I really don't do well with self-composition," Jude chuckled. "Same here... well, I have a reasonable excuse to not be able to talk about myself." Jude stared at her. "Another shot, please," he said to the bartender, with his gaze still fixed on her. Eisley laughed slightly as she pushed a strand of hair behind her left ear. "That's sort of related to it." "Wow, you're different," he commented. "Why, thank you..." "Ask him his fucking surname!!" Lorraine yelled, making Eisley grit her teeth. Eisley racked her brain on how to get his surname. After a brief moment of silence, she decided to take a risk. "Looking at you, I seem to have seen your face somewhere... I just can't point it out," she said. Jude touched the tip of his nose as he examined her. "I think you must be mistaken... I avoid anything called 'socialising'; it's sickening." "Then I must have seen someone that looks like you then," she muttered to herself while acting like she was thinking. Jude mouthed an "O." "You must be referring to my brother then. He's been in the spotlight of recent, and it's beginning to get on my nerves," he said with a frown as he massaged his temple. "By your brother, you mean...?" Eisley trailed off, hinting that she doesn't know his name. "His name is Night. Night Evans," Jude replied. Eisley widened her eyes and exclaimed, "You've got your target!" Lorraine shouted. "Oh, I see... he really shares a resemblance with you," Eisley chuckled. "Yeah, he does, and it sucks. We literally look like partial identical twins when he's clearly four years my senior," he facepalmed. Eisley heard him talk about his brother and felt a pang of hurt in her heart. She didn't get to relate to her brother, whom her father had locked up ever since her birth. The hurt soon turned to determination, "That's in the past... I'm doing this for Arthur," she said to herself. The duo conversed freely as they bonded over drinks. Soon, it was time for the meeting. Jude's phone rang. Eisley was quick to check the caller ID, "Hmmm... his brother should be around," she thought. Jude answered the phone call, "You're at the garage? Oh, okay. The room is ready. Yes, they are waiting for you there. See you soon." He ended the call after giving his response, and turned to face Eisley. "Moon, I have to leave now. We'll continue our conversation later," he said as he hurried to the elevator with a VVIP gold tag.

After he left, Eisley spotted a young lady wearing a black gown who snuck behind the bouncer and headed towards the stripper area. Eisley asked Lorraine if she saw the lady and Lorraine confirmed that the target had a bounty on his head.

Eisley rolled her eyes, saying that the lady was probably a staff member who came to work late. She finished her drink and decided to check on the young lady herself.

In a deep red-themed room, a group of five men sat at a conference table discussing businesses, while strippers danced naked on the poles around them. A man in a wine tuxedo who sat at the head of the table had two guns in front of him as he examined a third gun that was carved with a viper on the grip. After a great deal of silence, he spoke up.

"It's average."
