Chapter 6: Moon.

Sounds of loud music blaring from the Aces and Ales bar could be heard from over two miles away. Eisley sat on the branch of an oak tree a few miles away from the building, using her sniper rifle to monitor the exit.

“This guy is really protected. I can't get in!” she whined as she communicated with Lorraine through the walkie-talkie earpiece.

“You wanted to take on this mission. No one forced you,” Lorraine said on the other end, munching on corn chips loudly and making Eisley more angry.

Ignoring her, Eisley analyzed, “I’d have to find a more subtle way of getting in.” Her eyes darted through the crowds in front of the entrance to the main bar. Her sight locked on a drunk girl who was clad in a short green corset gown with a wide V-neck that exposed her cleavage.

“I know just the right way to get in,” she thought. “Lorraine, help me with a less revealing dress. I want to be my sister’s keeper.” She told Lorraine with a smile on her face.

“Huh?”

Eisley got down from the tree with agility as she made her way to the girl who was about to throw up. She lightly hit the girl on her chest, making the vomit roll back into her throat.

“Ughh... thank you,” the girl said with her head hung low.

“You’re welcome,” Eisley answered emotionlessly as she held her by the waist. “The dress is behind your hideout,” Lorraine said, earning a hum from Eisley.

Turning to face the girl, she said, “Do me a favor.”

“Huh? What...?” the girl got cut short by Eisley, who knocked her out.

She dragged the girl’s limp body over to the tree and switched clothes. Lorraine face-palmed while watching Eisley.

“What will you do to the girl?” She asked.

Eisley thought for a while and then said, “Nothing. She'll be found by tomorrow anyway.” She remarked as she put a dagger in the sheath that was strapped protectively around her thigh. Afterwards, she placed a small flesh-like device that soon changed her face and her voice.

“Nice purse,” she commented as she took the girl's silver purse and hid the pocket gun in it.

After making sure that all was set, she strolled to the entrance. On getting there, a big muscular bouncer stood with a black spectacle hanging on his nose bridge. “I haven't seen you around, miss.“

His deep voice rang out, making Eisley grin seductively.

“Well, it’s my first time in town, and I figured I'd need the perfect place to blend in,” she said as she bit her lower lip. The act caught the bouncer unaware, causing him to clear his throat before composing himself.

“It's obvious you are new. This place is only for the elites…”

“Are you really going stop me from having fun just for tonight?” she asked as she blinked her eyes rapidly while acting coquettishly.

“I'm sorry, miss. This area is reserved for VIP members and guests,” the bouncer said, and his face turned stoic, making Lorraine laugh loudly on the other side, making Eisley twitch her eyes.

“You have not upgraded your seducing skills,” her sister's mocking voice rang.

Ignoring her, Eisley looked downwards with a saddened expression. “I understand that, but I really need to speak with someone who's in there. It's urgent.“

“I'm sorry, miss. I can't just let anyone in there without proper authorization.”

Eisley sighed and said, “Please, I promise I won't cause any trouble. I just need a few minutes.” She thought, “Few minutes to get rid of Mr. Night.”

The bouncer remained on his spot without moving. “I'm sorry, miss. I can't take that risk. You will have to wait until someone comes out.”

Eisley blinked her eyes as she pleaded, “But that could take forever. Can I at least leave a message for someone to come out and meet me?”

He let out a frustrated sigh. “I'm afraid I can't allow that either. It's against our policy.”

Sighing, she clutched her purse sadly with a look that deserves pity. “Okay, thank you anyway.” She turned to leave. After taking a few steps, she heard the voice of a man.

“Finally! I thought you wouldn't show up.“

She turned to look at the man with a raised brow. Lorraine, on the other hand, had the same expression.

The young man winked at her before turning to face the bouncer. “She's my date. You should have let her in. Now you've ruined her mood,” he said as he walked to her and hugged her passionately while dropping peppered kisses on her head.

“I'm sorry about that, my love,” the man said loudly but whispered, “Play along. I'm Jude.”

Lorraine heard the man and felt her eyes roll. “A sexy stranger is helping you in your quest… touché!“

The bouncer lowered his head to apologize. “Sorry about that, miss.“

“Yeah, you should be sorry…” Jude said before turning to face Eisley. “Let's go, hon.“

He led her to the VIP section of the club, where different wealthy men sat. Half-naked ladies danced on them while trying to gain favor.

Jude led her to the bar, where several handsome, shirtless bartenders were attending to customers. “Hmm… they're hot,” she thought. Lorraine's voice rang in her ears. “Those bartenders look delicious…” Eisley face-palmed mentally.

“What would you like to drink?” he asked, giving way for her to sit. She nodded with a smile under the dim, closed lights in the club.

“I'm not really a drinker… anything you get is okay by me,” she said with a polite smile.

Jude smiled. “A shot of three wise men, and as for the lady, a Dom Perignon champagne.“

“On it, boss,” the bartender's deep voice rang.

“Three wise men?” Eisley asked with an amused smile on her face.

Jude chuckled at her amused expression. “From your expression, it's obvious you really don't drink,” he teased her.

“I don't just have the need to drink. I'm always busy with work that I barely have time for myself,” she said defensively.

The bartender served their orders before turning to attend to others. Jude handed her glass to her, which she accepted with a smile.

“Thank you, Jude.“

“It's nothing… besides, pretty lady, I don't know your name…”

Eisley blinked as she feigned ignorance. “Sorry, I didn't quite get you.“

“What's your name?” he asked again.

“Well, my name…” Eisley drawled as she tried to think of a possible name while cussing at Lorraine inwardly for not suggesting a name.

Jude stared at her with a studious smile.

Right before he could say a word, Eisley spoke up.

“Moon.“
