Scarlet POV
“Who are you?” I frown staring at the man with dark brown hair and chocolate eyes, in a dark suit, he looks to be in his 30s
“I’m a person wondering why you're trying to track down Mr Kingston, what do you want?” he pulls on his shades down taking a sit beside me, “you do know what you're doing is known as cybercrime” he raises a brow at me
I shrug not saying a thing, “I don't want to talk to you, I want to talk to your boss”
He sighs peering at me, “How old are you?”
“With the way you appeared so mysteriously I would have thought you would have figured it out by now” I raise a brow at him
He shrugs, “I will lead you to him if you promise never to do what you did today again”
“Trust me, I never want to do it again” I shrug following him to a nearby car
“I am going to need your phone,” he says after a 30-minute drive including traffic
I laugh, “One you could kidnap me and kill me, two No,” I say simply still working on my Rubix cube which I pulled out a few minutes ago
He only sighs like he expected that answer, the car comes to a halting stop in an underground parking lot, and we both silently head into an elevator the ride to the top floor is quiet, the door opens up into a penthouse, I turn around ready to ask the mystery man were we are but find him in the closing elevator
“I heard someone was looking for me, I did not expect it to be you” I hear a voice from the side, walking out from underneath the wooden staircase
“You have enemies I guess” I turn around and the man I so remember stands there leaning on the wall, this time in a dark blue suit with a white button-up shirt but without a tie, his chest is exposed and I remember what he looked like naked, I swallow
He only shrugs walking forward with two tumblers in hand, I don't ask but he hands me one, towering over me “You're not 21 are you?” He says lips in a tight smile
“What made you guess the fake ID you took or how I look today?” I ask placing the tumbler on the table, walking past him, and taking a sit on the couch, “I am not here for discussions though, I just wanted to inform you about something” I bit my lip.
“What?” He frowns still standing trying to scare me with his big frame I guess
I grab the test report from my purse handing it to him, “Before you read that,” I stare up at him, “I am getting rid of it, I don't want it, I don't think either of us will make good parents either.”
He frowns staring down at the test results, “I used protection at all times”
I shrug, “Well it failed,” I stand up,
“I just wanted to tell you about it, not keep you out of the loop you know. I am not keeping it, I have an appointment with a gynecologist on Monday by 4 pm and I am getting rid of it there too, it's your choice if you want to be there” downing the last of the scotch on the glass,
“I don't care and I don't expect anything from you either so this is a goodbye”.
He says nothing like that night only frowns watching me leave, my stomach growls in the elevator when it comes to a stop, I frown hitting the down button but the elevator moves up again and it opens to the penthouse suite again
“Okay let's get this straight, you're pregnant?” He asks gripping my arm and pulling me back to the living room
I nod confused
“And it's mine?”
I narrow my eyes, “yes”
“You know how rich I am right? And you're getting rid of it? That does not make sense at all” he narrows his eyes, spinning me around, “Who sent you here? My father, my sister?
Who?” He frowns staring down at me
“One, this thing growing in my belly can't stay because I don't want to be a disappointment to my mother, two I don't care how much money you have, I am getting rid of it, I have college, my whole life waiting for me, and some kid with a Playboy as a father will not hold me down you get that?” I speak into the tense silence but my stomach growling makes him step back
“Seems like that kid is hungry” he nods to my stomach
I roll my eyes, “I am going to go, you're not going to stop me, and I don't want to see you again, if I am to see you, it's when I’m getting rid of this thing okay?” I walk towards the elevator
The weekend passes by quickly and Monday morning the nervousness sets in, I have my first class alone and for my second class, Tamara and I head towards the class with her by my side
“I can't believe you're going to get rid of the baby,” she says with a pout
“Tam no,” I say shaking my head
“Come on you can certainly register for online classes” she frowns
“I am on scholarship” Tam I say
“He can pay. He's rich damn it!! You can't kill an innocent child” she says getting emotional
“And I can't bring a child into his world with unloving parents, not going to happen,” I say, I have that experience and I don’t want that for the kid.
She only sighs as we step into the class but my professor calling my name stops me, I turn to Tamara but she only shrugs finding a seat in the middle
“Yes, professor?” I head to the old man
“We will be getting a guest speaker today, I need you to sit in the front, I immediately brought up your name when the school informed me he would be picking a few students to be part of an internship program, I was hoping you would be interested with your skills” he sends me a kind smile
I nod with a smile, “Thank you, professor”
He nods and the class goes as planned, we have to stay an extra hour for the guest speaker
I almost regret sitting in the front when he shows up
“Class welcomes Mr Quin Kingston, he owns one of the biggest Tech companies in the world” the Professor informs us, clapping excitedly
