Six on the Sunday damn morning, we were called to sweat. It's one of their programs to change the children here. Wow, how can running and jumping like a pig can change these people? Like the one who's catching his breath just behind me. He was catching his breath as I ran and jug at the same time. He's holding me back! Some are already there and drinking water!
"Slow down, Kaycee!" I slowly stopped and turned to him. He was sweating like ice.
"This is just a few laps, Dane. How are you even called a gangster if you can't run this distance?" He smiled and wiped off his falling sweat.
"Well, I don't run from a fight. They run from me." He winked that I almost puked! What did he just say? I just can not with his boy! I walked to him and pushed his back. We're almost there! He almost fell but I didn't care.
When we reached the bench that had our things on, Dane fell to the ground. I sat down and didn't mind him. He's just overreacting. I looked over our Physical Education teacher. He was fit like any other physical teacher. He pulled out his hand from his pocket and glanced at his wristwatch.
"Okay, this is all for today. Next Sunday, choose a partner for the exercise. And..." He looked around. "There are booths around for anyone interested in any sport extracurriculars." He walked away with the ball for basketball and some guys went with him.
"Did you sign in any sport?" Dane smirked.
"Of course! Basketball." He looked around and saw the retreating teacher and his eyes widened. "They're already leaving?! Coach! Bye, Queen!" I wiped off his kiss on my cheek. He said he would only do that occasionally!
I looked around the booths that I could try. I'm just good at everything! Then... I should choose the one that I'm not that good at. That would be a challenge. I walked to the volleyball booth and lined. Some girls didn't know I was there so I wasn't given the privilege. I didn't mind.
"There's a try-out for two slots! Come later afternoon." Some girl said and gave a form to the girl in front of me. She glanced at me and didn't know how to react. She was gonna say something but didn't continue. Her brown hair was in a bun. Her skin wass rather cream than pale. Her eyes were of a doe and she looked very innocent. Should she be even here?
I was in front of the table but no one asked what I was doing there. Not until a girl smiled at me. She was wearing their uniform like the others inside the booth. She was the tallest and her long curly hair was in a high ponytail. Her fading freakles were seen.
"You wanna sign in?"
"Yes."
"Okay." She stood up and waved her hand to get the other girl's attention. "We only have one slot left! Good luck girls!" I raised an eyebrow. She looked at me confused. She looked fakely confused. What's her deal?
"I can try-out with the other girls." I don't like these kinds of things. They don't need to be considerate. I can get a spot without their authority. I am qualified without the title of the Black Knight's Queen.
"Oh no, it's okay Kylee. I mean Queen Kylee." Uhm, what the heck?
"I'm not your queen to be given this advantage. Two o'clock is it?" I glanced at the girl that couldn't speak. She nodded.
I went back to the dormitory and showered. As usual, Ashton wasn't here. I decided to watch a movie before eating brunch at the cafeteria. I chose from the numerous choices. I picked the girl wearing a sexy red dress. I read the plot and learned that it was a mixture of romance and psychological. How nice.
I wiped off the dust from the DVD and placed it in. I reached for the remote and played it. I went for something to eat while it was playing. Luckily there was some soda and fruits. This can do. I walked back to the sofa and watched the ongoing rain on the television screen.
An hour has past and she was about to kill her lover when Ashton opened the door that made me gasped. What is he doing here? He glanced at me for a second, then continued to the bed. I think he slept. I took a quick turn and I was right! I finished the movie and decided to just eat here.
There were enough ingredients for pancakes and there was frozen waffles. I mixed flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar on one bowl. I got another bowl for the wet ingredients and mixed them all. There was some vanilla on one of the cabinets, so I also added it. I carefully poured some on the pan for the first piece and I was done with six. I poured honey and cut some strawberries.
I heated the waffles I saw on the fridge and I was done! I made some chocolate milk and mixed it in a pitcher. There was also water on my side. I was about to eat when I realized something. I bit my lip and glanced at Ash and to my brunch. I should at least offer him some food right? Even though he's not here all the time to eat with me. Now that he's here and I have plenty of food, I should offer him to dine with me.
I stood up and tiptoed to his bed. He was half-naked as how he always sleeps. I poked his shoulder to wake him up. The soft comforter was hugging his figure.
"Ashton..." I poked him again. "Come eat with me."
His eyes slowly opened. When he saw me, he turned to the side. "What?' He asked drowsily.
"Eat with me. I'm sure you haven't eaten yet."
"How did you know I haven't?"
I crossed my arms. "You don't want to?"
He got up swiftly and the next thing I knew we were already sitting in front of each other. He ate with great bites and I wasn't half-finished with mine. He was drinking my chocolate milk and after finishing it, he just sat there staring at me.
I poured some more honey on my waffles and bit some of it. I sipped on my choco and glanced at him. "Was it good?"
"Yeah." In a deep voice.
"Okay.
