[CHAPTER 2]

HANABI

I WAKE UP WITH a series of knocks coming from outside my room.

"Hey, you have a visitor here! Come on get up there!" My mother shouted loudly from outside the room while continuing to knock.

I frowned slightly when I realized it was eight in the morning.

I immediately got out of bed before Mom opened the door.

"Mom, who is the guest there?" My respectful greetings to my mother.

"He told me that he is one of your best friends. he has an elegant body and you can really tell that he is a rich boy. He is very handsome and the way he speaks is like a rich man from another country." Mother said long.

"Okay, thank you, Mother." I replied before going to the living room.

there, I saw a tall man sitting formally on our dilapidated sofa.

I smiled to get his attention.

"Oh!" He started, "Good Morning." He greeted me coldly.

"What are you doing here at this hour?" My question is polite.

"I just want to invite you for a breakfast if it's okay with you." He said.

I smiled slightly when he said, "Alright."

"Uhh, aren't you going to change your clothes?" He frowned when he asked before glancing at my clothes.

My face immediately turned red when I realized that I was still in my pajamas.

"Oh! I'm sorry!" I'm embarrassed to mention it before going up.

I immediately showered and put on a dress that I paired with flat shoes.

after a few minutes of fixing, I went down and found him focused on his cellphone.

"Done?" He asked while looking at his cellphone.

"Yes." I reply.

"Good, let's go." He said briefly before standing up and walking out.

"Mom! We're leaving!" I shouted before leaving the house.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT TO EAT?" He asked me while looking at the menu.

We are currently in a fancy restaurant here in a famous mall.

"Ahh, I'm not used to this kind of dining, so I hope you choose for me." I said shyly.

"Okay." He answered with a nod. "Waiter!" He still screamed.

A cute man approached us.

"Yes Mam and Sir? May I take your order?" The waiter said with a smile.

"1 ice tea, large size, 1 choco cream topped with kisses, large size. then can i have 3 servings of your specialty please." Alex said authoritatively.

"Any additional, Ma'am and Sir?" I was slightly turned away by the behavior of the waiter who was now smiling at me.

"No more, thank you." I answered with a smile that caused the waiter to smile.

"Are you going to serve us or will you just keep on flirting with my wife?" Alex asked sternly, which is why the waiter immediately left after apologizing.

"One of my rules is no flirting in front of me, when I catch you flirting, I will punish you." He said coldly.

"Alex..." I took a deep breath before glaring at him, "I do not agree to the contract you offered." I continued before bowing.

"When I say you're mine, you're mine. When I say we're going to get married, we're going to get married. Nothing can stop my will." He answered without emotion but you could see the emphasis in every word he uttered.

"I have a... boyfriend." I'm still lying.

the truth is that I have a boyfriend that I intend to meet on his exact birthday next week but I don't think it will go any further because of the man in front of me right now.

He clenched his fist slightly before saying, "Break up with him or I'll rip his head right in front of you."

My eyes immediately widened because of what I heard. "Stop me..."

"Why would I do that?" He asked with a smile.

I immediately stood up and ran away from his behavior with fear, but I was stopped when someone suddenly pulled me and someone breathed on me causing me to lose consciousness.

"WHERE AM I?"

When I opened my eyes, I saw a dark environment. I was about to stand up when I realized that my feet were handcuffed as well as my hands while lying on a soft bed.

"Oh!" I groaned as the handcuffs on my hands suddenly tightened.

My attention was drawn to the door when it opened. My eyes immediately flared up with anger when I recognized the person who kidnapped me.

"I'm glad you're awake now my angel." He was frank with me.

"Probably not waking up?" I answered him sarcastically.

"I told you that i can get anything i like..." He said with a smile, "And now that I'm in your power, I won't let you leave anymore."

"You animal!" I screamed.

"You chose that life. I won't force you but you kept on ignoring me so I have no choice but to kidnap you." he answered without emotion.

"Please... let me go!" I'm still begging.

"I won't." He said.

"Die like an animal!" I said crying.

"Okay." He answered sparingly.

"Ahhh!" I moaned as the handcuffs tightened on my hand.

"Once you disobey me, that's not the only punishment you'll experience, I won't kill you because you're now my wife. And you're mine.... alone." He said threateningly to me.

"Please, it's not like you have mercy." I close my eyes because of the pain I feel now.

why does this have to be the end of my life? I am simple and I still have a brother to treat. I still have a brother who needs my help.

"I've been looking for you Hanabi for how many years. How many years have I struggled just to find you." he said something hurtful to me.

My forehead furrowed when I found out, "What do you mean?"

He smiled bitterly at me, "You're my ex wife."

My jaw almost dropped in shock. What? Ex wife? How could I not remember that thing?

"How... why can't I remember anything?" I asked confused.

I noticed the side of his tears, "5 years ago, you had a car accident when you were going home from work, you're in a coma for almost 6 months and right after you wake up, you don't remember anything."

"But... how come you've been looking for me for so many years?" Wrinkled when I asked.

"After the incident, someone claimed that you're their daughter which is just a lie. They hid you and they even changed your name. Luckily, with my connections, I found you." he replied smiling as if he were a madman with a lump on his head.

"Are you referring to Mother Rina?" I asked nervously.

Mom Rina is what I consider my mother at the moment and my sister is Nina who is sick right now.

"No..Mother Rina is the maid who pretended to be your parents. Those who pretended to be your parents are dead." He continued explaining before untying the handcuffs on my hands and feet.

"Just like you said before, I'll give you a week to decide but you're going to live here in my house first. it's your decision if you want to escape or stay and be safe. Trust me, this is for your own safety." He continued before leaving me stunned.
