Chapter 4: Boyfriend

Ellie's POV

Xavier grabbed my hand before I could make my way towards my seat and dragged me towards the lunch line. I peered up at him and slowly pulled my hand out of his grasp, "Xavier, I don't buy lunch." I mumbled softly.

"Yeah but I do and I kinda want company, if that's okay?" He asked and I nodded my head softly as I flickered my eyes away from him and towards my lunch table where Lizzie was currently sitting at.

Her eyes interlocked with mine and she gestured towards Xavier before widening her eyes. I rolled my eyes and diverted my eyes from her. I gasped when I found Xavier already staring down at me. He flickered his eyes towards Lizzie then me before smiling, "saw your friend pointing at me."

"Yeah, that's Lizzie, my best friend," I said as he took his food from the lunch lady and thanked her. We sauntered towards the table and I lowered myself down onto the bench. Xavier sat down beside me and he smiled at Lizzie who eyed him as if she were eyeing a pizza.

"El, who's the handsome boy?" She asked and I sighed deeply as I lowered my head in embarrassment.

Let me tell you something about my best friend Lizzie.

She's the opposite of me, she's the wild child in her family, the girl who loves to party, drink and smoke if she has to.

She's hot and gets any guy she desires in the entire school. Boys fall to her feet at the snap of her fingers because of how bold and beautiful she is but I know one guy who doesn't stoop to her level because his head is too far up his ass with pride.

Alec.

She's tried to get Alec to sleep with her - ew - but he wouldn't so she gets; "turned on," when he doesn't want her, her words not mine.

Thus was born a crush.

"Xavier, nice to meet you, Lizzie."

"Oh, my gosh, El where did you pick this one up." She purred as she twirled her hair in between her fingertips. She flickered her eyes up and down his body as a smile crept onto her lips.

"Let's just say Ellie fell into my arms. . .literally." He chuckled and Lizzie turned towards me with a smile, "oh my god I'm so happy!" She squealed as she leaned over the table to squeeze my cheeks. I slapped her hand away and scowled deeply.

Happy about what? We literally just met!

"Hey girls!" A familiar voice exclaimed and I gasped as Stewart planted a kiss against my cheek and then lowered himself down beside Lizzie who eyed him in annoyance. "So no kiss for me too?" She inquired and he rolled his eyes before grabbing her cheeks and planting a kiss on her nose.

"For you." He winked and she rolled her eyes before shoving his face away from hers.

"Who's this?" Stewart asked as he turned towards Xavier who flashed him a smile.

"Xavier, Ellie's hot new boyfriend!" Lizzie chirped and I coughed out hysterically as water slipped down my trachea, preventing me from breathing. Xavier patted my back softly and I peered up into Lizzies eyes as I gasped for air.

"He's NOT my b-boyfriend!"

"Could have fooled me," Xavier exclaimed and I glared at him as he suddenly burst into a fit of laughter. I flickered my eyes away from him and towards Stewart who eyed Xavier in annoyance, "he's your boyfriend? How come you never told me?"

"He's not my freaking boyfriend! We just met, hell we're not even friends!"

The table fell into an awkward silence and I lowered my gaze from Stewarts because I was afraid I'd burn holes into his skin from how harshly I was glaring at him. "I think my sis needs a breather," Alec exclaimed from behind me.

Before I could speak he grabbed my hand and pulled me off the bench before tugging me behind him. He dragged me towards a secluded part of the cafeteria and then pulled his arms back to himself when I glared down at them.

"You need to calm down."

"Oh wow thanks captain obvious." I shot back sarcastically.

"JUST. . .take a breather." He mumbled and I stared at him for a few seconds before sucking in a harsh breath and then exhaling. I did this for a few seconds until I felt the anger sipping out of me. He nodded his head in content and smiled, "good girl." He exclaimed as he leaned towards me and ruffled my hair.

"Alec I swear to god I will cut off your hair in the night whiles you are sleeping if you keep ruffling mine!"

"Let's see who will have hair by then." He grinned mischievously and I gasped as he guffawed in amusement. I rolled my eyes and made my way back towards the table with an amused Alec still trailing behind me laughing his belly off.

When we got to the table Lizzie eyed him confusedly then flickered her eyes towards me. I raised my hands in confusion as I lowered myself beside Xavier, "don't ask." I muttered as I shot Alec a glare.

"Who's this?" Alec inquired as he lowered his head to Xavier's face.

"Are you her boyfriend?" Xavier asked.

"Ew, hell no!" Alec and I both exclaimed simultaneously and we both snapped our heads towards one another, narrowed our eyes before flickering them back towards Xavier who eyed us peculiarly.

"Xavier meet Alec, my ugly, disgusting, annoying and stupid twin brother!" I chirped and he draped a hand over his chest dramatically as he sniffled in feign hurt.

"Thank you sis, for that heartwarming introduction."

"Xavier, nice to meet you." He said as he outstretched his first towards Xavier. I watched in astonishment as they first bumped.

Why do boys automatically make friends so quickly? Girls literally go through WW3 before they become friends.

"Why are you hanging out with my annoying sister and her annoying friends?" Alec asked and Lizzie leaned over the table to slap him upside the head.

He cried out in pain and she flipped him off before falling back onto the bench. "Yeah if anyone is annoying it's your ass." Stewart grumbled and I chuckled as Alec flipped him off as well.

"I'm not hanging out with them, I'm hanging out with her and her friends just so happen to be here as well." Xavier exclaimed and Alec flickered his eyes to me in mock disgust.

"Yeah, why?" He asked and Xavier's eyes slid towards me before a smirk crept onto his lips.

"Well. . .I guess I just like her."
