CHAPTER 2 - GOLDEN FAE

"Liam, how is the research going? Any progress?"

Asher had put Liam in charge of locating a golden fae. In other to break the curse, a descendant of the Sims had to marry a golden fae and be sure to consummate their marriage.

The golden faes were the royal family of faes which have been extinct since hundreds of years ago.

They were hard to come by. Legend says they went extinct after the rebellion of the dark faes.

Luckily, Liam had been carrying out a lot of research for years and he had found out that during the rebellion of the dark faes, the royal family sent their youngest princess to a place that was far away from the war.

Apparently, the princess had after the war, although she was depressed, carried on with her life and got married, thereby having descendants who are alive to this day.

"Young master, I have had a breakthrough in my research and it turns out that all this time the way to locate a golden fae was right under our noses" Liam continued enthusiastically, "I'll send you an address let's meet and discuss this"

"Okay, I'm on my way"

After hanging up the phone, Asher quickly grabbed his car keys and went to the address Liam sent to him.

The address Liam sent to him was a newly opened cafe that was close to where Liam carried out his research.

When Asher got there, Liam was already sitting close to a window at a conspicuous corner of the cafe. He instantly went to join him.

"Would you like to order anything"

"No, there's no need. Just go straight to the point." Asher was not in the mood to order anything, he just wanted to hear what Liam had to tell him.

"So, it's like this. I started making progress in my research but I suddenly got to a standstill. So, I decided to retrace my work and focus carefully on the basic data.

And now I have finally found a way to locate a golden fae."

Asher did not say anything, simply giving Liam a look for him to continue.

Seeing Asher's gaze, Liam knew what it meant so he continued speaking.

"It turns out that the way to locate a golden fae was through the use of the moon clove.

The moon clove, after being imbued with energy, emits a golden light when it is close to a golden fae."

"You are telling me that the way to locate a golden fae has been within reach all these while?"

"Yeah, if my research and findings prove to be true, which I am sure they are."

"Even if we have the means of locating or more precisely knowing if the golden fae is within a vicinity, it does not make things easier. It's not like the moon clove is going to show us the exact location of the golden fae."

"That's true, but at least we've got a way. We should not lose hope. Should we try it here? who knows if we might actually locate a golden fae here." Liam asked excitedly. He would not hurt to try it here, after all, they were going to do this in a lot of locations in other to find a golden fae. It wouldn't hurt to start from their current location.

"Alright, but what if there is no golden fae nearby?" Asher asked curiously.

"Oh, it emits a white ray of light"

"Okay then, you may proceed"

Liam proceeded to channel his energy towards the moon clove.

After channeling his energy towards the moon clove for a while, the moon clove did not emit any rays of light at all.

Liam began to wonder if his research was wrong. Just as he was about to give up, the moon clove started emitting faint rays of light.

Immediately Asher and Liam saw the light, they were both dumbfounded by the result.

The rays of light the moon clove emitted were golden. Just now Liam had just been joking about finding a golden fae at the cafe and now the result of their test proved that there was in fact a golden fae in their vicinity. Precisely in the cafe.

This cafe was newly opened and most of its customers were office workers who came out during lunch break.

Right now it was not yet lunch break so the only people in the cafe currently were Liam, Asher, and the young lady who runs the cafe.

Asher and Liam looked at each other, their shock expressed clearly on their faces.

Cyra was busy making snacks and desserts in the kitchen when a customer came in.

The man was young, tall, and good-looking. Cyra recognized him as the young man who runs the research institute nearby. He was the dream lover and heartthrob of many young women.

Most of the young women who came to the cafe usually discussed about him.

Since the cafe was located right in the middle of the business area in Pluwell City, many customers usually came in during lunch breaks.

Although it wasn't rare to see customers at this time. Those who usually came in at this time were mostly here to discuss business.

After asking the young man if he needed anything, to which he answered no, she went back to the kitchen to continue her work.

Not long after she went in, she heard another person coming in and she guessed he was the other party that the young man who first came wanted to discuss with.

She stretched her neck out of the kitchen to take a look at the person and was shocked.

The young man this time was even more handsome than the first.

She could guarantee that if the young ladies knew about this man, they would all forget about the research guy, as they called him.

Moreover, this man looked very rich. He was young and rich, tall and handsome, and charismatic.
