Chapter 7: Save Him

As soon as Ha Na got home from Yoongi's place, she couldn't hear anything. The entire house fell in silence, hence she called and called for the two but no answers can be heard from them. She walked towards the window and noticed the day was getting darker as time passed by.

It's already night. She mentally thought, shaking her head. She closed it as no one even bothered closing the window that has been opened since morning.

Ha Na made her way to the guest room and there, lies her little cousin, sleeping peacefully. She glanced at Elisse who was stroking Jungkook's hair with her hands, softly and gently, as she heard sobs.

"Elisse?" Ha Na called her best friend's name. Elisse turned around revealing her swollen face and red eyes. "What's wrong?"

"Ha Na..." Elisse sniffed and stood up, greeting Ha Na with her arms. She snuggled her face on Ha Na's neck.

"They're dead..."

Ha Na was confused by Elisse's behaviour, sharp brows raised. "What are you talking about? Who is dead?"

"Aunt C-Caroline..." Elisse voice cracked, and entire body shivered.

"Whose...aunt?"

"Aunt Caroline, Jungkook's mother."

Ha Na felt her body fall, letting out a whimper. "What?"

She pulled away from the hug, gripping Elisse's shoulders, and looking into her eyes. "W-What d-do you mean?"

Elisse inhaled sharply, letting out a shaky breath. "The vampires,"

Elisse broke down in tears again, covering her face with her palms. "They took action to kill every single werewolves that exists today, Ha Na. It's because of what happened at the ball murder case."

She cried out before adding. "That's why they killed Jungkook's mother."

"Elisse!" Ha Na chuckled defensively and nervously. She stepped back. "Why would they kill my aunt? She's a human!"

"Ha N-Na..." Elisse stuttered, unable to look at her best friend while fidgeting.

Ha Na's heartbeat fastened for a reason that she realized something. She gritted her tongue in frustration and sadness. 'Unless my own aunt is a werewolf.'

"Jungkook's family is from a werewolf bloodline."

Ha Na's heart dropped.

"H-how did you know? You m-must be wrong about that!" Her voice shuddered at the thought.

"Jungkook's mother is a werewolf, Ha Na." Elisse calmed down.

Ha Na's lips trembled in fear. Hairs of her skin rose up in goosebumps. So all along, I was surrounded by werewolves?

Elisse watched her best friend shaking in fear. She knew why but she couldn't let Ha Na's personal reason get the little kid killed.

"We need to protect him, Ha Na." Elisse whispered looking at her with a pleading look and looked at the boy, peacefully and innocently, sleeping on the bed.

"Everyone knows that Jungkook exists and they will kill him no matter what. Let's save him please."

Ha Na's breathing hitched with Elisse waiting for her answer. She was hesitating to whether help his cousin or not but after all, his little cousin is just as innocent. He wouldn't have any relations towards the cruel creatures despite being a werewolf himself.

"Ha Na!" Elisse yelped before falling on her knees. She was begging for little Jungkook's life. "Let's get him out! He's so young to be killed by those vicious monsters!"

Elisse honestly cringed at her own words. But she had to convince Ha Na somehow yet Ha Na just watched her best friend on her knees, begging and crying out for someone's life.

Before Ha Na could even process on what's going on, her mouth leaves an answer that she didn't even expect.

"Let's save him then, Elisse."

"Noona." Little Jungkook whimpered behind Ha Na as he followed her. "Where are we going?"

Ha Na glanced from side to side to see anyone in the wide forest. Gladly, there was none. She sighed and stopped, bending down to her cousin's height level. "Jungkookie..."

Her sweet and calm voice sent a wave of peace in Jungkook's trembling small body.

"Do you wanna play with Aunt Ha Na?"

His eyes enlightened at the thought of him playing with someone —especially his noona. "Yes, Noona!"

"You better make up your mind whether you should call me Aunt or Noona." Ha Na chuckled, petting Jungkook's soft hair making him purr in satisfaction.

He liked being pet all the time, and I didn't even notice him being a wolf. Ha Na giggled at the adorable kid.

"I like calling you Noona more!" he cheered, clapping his little hands.

The boy is as innocent as an infant and cheerful as a human being. She couldn't let this boy get killed without any reason. He couldn't kill someone at such innocent young mind.

Ha Na just smiled at him and held his hand tightly before wandering into the forest again, finding their way to a place where they could hide themselves without getting lost.

After a few hours of staying in the forest, Ha Na put on some fire for them to stay warm and cooked. She glanced behind to see Jungkook sleeping peacefully making her chuckle.

"Jungkookie..." She whispered, shaking him from his sleep but he didn't budge. Ha Na giggle and thought of something. "Do you want to have some chocolates and Banana milk?"

His eyes immediately shot open and sat up immediately as he heard his favourite snacks being mentioned.

She couldn't help but laugh at the little boy who happily clapped his hands and cheering for his favourite snacks.

"But first, we need to eat dinner." His lips turned into a cute pout, his nose—his snout twitched in disappointment.

"But I want banana milk!" He whined, throwing his arms around.

"Jungkookie, let's eat dinner first, okay?"

"NO!" He screamed at her, throwing his hands below and thumping his legs on the ground while sitting on the log. "I WANT BANANA MILK!"

"Jungkookie..." Ha Na softly called his name but then he started crying and throwing tantrums.

"Stop it." she groaned slightly.

"I WANT BANANA MILK!!!!" He scowled, screaming at the top of his lungs but then a howl came out of nowhere that it echoed throughout the forest making Ha Na startled.

But then she remember. He's a werewolf who can howl whenever he wants without being aware that he'll get caught. She don't want to risk the chance of getting both of them in danger.

Ha Na abruptly covered his mouth with her hands but he's still jerking and throwing his hands below. The kid was no doubt strong, growling over her hands. She then heard a sound a few meters from them making Jungkook and her stop. She looked around to see where the sound came from.

"Noona..." He whispered in a low, feeble voice as he wrapped his arms around her, getting scared.

"Shhh. It's okay. Don't be scared." Ha Na hushed, wrapping her arms back around his whole little body.

Pulling away from the hug, she stared at Jungkook's eyes before grabbing something from her bag.

Little Jungkook watched her aunt pulling out some bracelet. She lifted it up and raised it in front of him.

"Jungkookie, if ever something happened. This bracelet will protect you alright? This way, vampires nor wolves won't hurt you." She said, locking the bracelet on Jungkook's right hand and smiled at him.

Her breathe hitched as she looked around, hearing different noises. Noises of chirps, howls and footsteps on the dried leaves in this fores.

"Who are you?" She softly asked but then noises continue to get louder and louder. "COME THE FUCK OUT!"

This time, she yelled whoever is out there whether an animals, creatures or humans.

Ha Na won't let them hurt this innocent kid.

Ha Na turned around to where the noise coming from and saw a figure behind her. Her eyes narrowed to get a clear view. It was a figure looking at them in their direction.
