Chapter 6: Declaration

Taehyung's blood boiled at the sight of his beloved going inside her lover's house. He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth in anger, controlling the demon inside him.

"Is that her, Taehyung?" Namjoon asked from behind. Taehyung nodded, clear pain written on his face.

But the aggressiveness inside him that he can't even control took over him as he didn't even notice that his hand was already bleeding from the punch.

"Taehyung!" Namjoon gasped at his sight and grabbed Taehyung's hand away from the tree. "I told you to never hurt yourself!"

"Hyung..." Taehyung sighed, retreating his hands away from Namjoon. "I can't even control myself."

"Why don't we just get her rather than have yourself be in pain like this? I hate seeing you like this, Taehyung."

"I want to..." Taehyung's voice cracked "But I can't, Hyung."

"You're the most powerful vampire that ever existed and the first one. What are you so afraid of?"

Taehyung looked at Namjoon. "I'm afraid of him hurting her, Hyung."

Namjoon knew what Taehyung was trying to say. "Remember what happened back then."

Namjoon didn't speak up and sighed. "Let's just go back to the palace, Tae."

I came here with hyung to let him see your face for him to protect you and followed you as I smelt your blood all the way to my palace. Taehyung mentally thought sadly and bitterly. But I didn't know that you would be here seeing your little boyfriend.

Sometimes, he wished that he was her man. Taehyung sometimes wished he was a human. But he knew that was impossible. He bit his lips and basically left the place.

"Let's go." He told the driver and goes inside the car where Namjoon is waiting inside.

"I hope you'd make up your mind about it" Namjoon asked. "If I were you, I'd steal her. She'd just be my blood slave anyway."

Taehyung stared at the window, processing what Namjoon said. But you're wrong. She is not just my blood slave, she is my everything.

The King's eyebrows furrowed. Don't you know her, hyung? Why am I the only one who noticed?

Taehyung breathed in and out heavily, trying to calm himself down. As half an hour passed, they arrived at the palace with reporters all over the place waiting for their arrival.

"Are the others already here?" Taehyung asked Namjoon.

"Not yet." The elder responded and opened the door, stepping out of the car.

The two stepped out of the car, both bombarded by reporters and flashes, all asking what the meeting will be all about and such.

"Are you sure about your decision, Taehyung?" Namjoon asked Taehyung again.

"I don't know, Hyung." Taehyung replied, honestly before forcing out a look of reassurance."Let's just think for the best."

Namjoon seemed to noticed Taehyung being uncomfortable about the idea. "You know the consequences of breaking the bond between werewolves and vampires, right?"

Afterall, werewolves and vampires are supposed to be in friendly terms.

Taehyung don't want to be a pity man, arguing about just a simple thing. But when Hoseok found out about the murder case of a werewolf and a vampire, he immediately flipped, requesting about it yesterday.

---FLASHBACK---

"No woman could reject the ruler." Seokjin said. Taehyung's lips curved into a slight smile.

"By the way, have you heard about the murder case of a vampire?" Jimin asked, glancing at everyone.

The higher-ups shook their head except for Hoseok.

"I heard that a werewolf murdered a vampire." Hoseok informed as everyone could see a glint of anger in his eyes. "I think we should stop this friendly matters before it gets worse."

"What do you mean?" Namjoon scowled as all eyes are on Hoseok now, eyes are bulging from his sudden words.

"You know how vicious and hungry they are! A werewolf murdering a vampire? That's completely insane!" he yelped and groaned in frustration. "I don't even know why we have this friendly matters with them!"

"Vampires ruled this kingdom! They don't! Yet how dare they touch our people!" Hoseok added out in frustration.

"Are you suggesting that we should kill them?" Taehyung has finally decided to talk, snapping at him as their King. "I don't get why you have to break our relationship with them or maybe kill them for that pity thing."

"Then are we going to just watch and turn a blind eye, Kim Taehyung?" He challenged the King as he shoot him a death glare.

"Yah! Jung Hoseok!" Seokjin awkwardly chuckled interrupting both of them. "I've never seen you arguing with Taehyung before. What's wrong with you?"

"If you don't agree with me just because I am pity over reacting such case, then I'm out!" He slammed his hands on the table.

Taehyung closed his eyes thinking hard for his decision but then pride, frustration and selfishness took over him that he couldn't even think properly.

The Dukes knew how to handle Taehyung so much. That is to hurt his pride and anger him —that way, Taehyung couldn't say no.

"Fine! Kill them!" Slamming the table, frustrated and sense of tense in the atmosphere, Taehyung stormed out of the room.

Taehyung walked inside the palace as several maids came to greet them as they head inside a room waiting for the others to come. After a few minutes, the other dukes have arrived in a tuxedo as this is an important and shocking news in the history.

You must be that happy, Hoseok Hyung. Taehyung sighed as he thought.

"What is this meeting all about, your majesty?" Several human and vampire reporters came to asked Taehyung—their King, the Ruler of all Races.

They have even asked him about the murder case and his opinion about it. And today will be the day he would speak his own opinion about it. However, he couldn't speak as he could felt his tongue-tied inside his mouth. He is in front of everyone, gripping the edge of table tightly and going to give them the news that everyone won't probably like. But this decision was not his only— it was also the Dukes' decision.

"Talking about the case yesterday regarding a wolf murdering a vampire," he trailed off, closing his eyes and looked down, breathing.

"What would you do about it, your majesty?" A reporter asked and then several questions followed, along with flashes of lights.

There was a long pause before Namjoon called out for Taehyung to speak behind him. Taehyung just nodded slightly, fixing his attention back to the crowd.

"Regarding about the murder case..." Taehyung repeated, inhaling sharply. "Tonight, I will now give a verbal decree in front of all of you."

Taehyung breathed in, thinking about his decision again—his final decision. His decision will surely change the history between wolves, humans and vampires.

"I declare that there will be no treaty between the werewolves and vampires anymore." He coldly said. Saying it as cold as winter, leaving the reporters shocked.

Taehyung clicked his tongue before opening up the main topic of the meeting tonight.

"And I also declare all the werewolves race to be taken down starting tonight, be it under a pack or not."

Taehyung let out a quiet shaky breath, looking down again before looking back at the audience.

"And not leaving any trace of them."

Bitterness was heard in his voice making some reporters flinch at the sharp look Taehyung was giving to them. As if he'd become a monster in any minute now.

With that, Taehyung and the Dukes all left together and he decided to go outside with others going back to the second floor. The ruler looked at Hoseok smirking at him, going upstairs while looking at him and seemed so happy about the news.

Hoseok hyung, just what are you planning? Taehyung thought.
