Chapter 13.Trust me you didn't do anything

I started panicking because of the text i just received on my phone and i knew my phone was going to ring anytime from now....but i really wished to be normal tonight and have a peaceful dinner with him but unfortunately when duty calls,i have to drop whatever am doing and attend to it.

"uhm i need to use the washroom please...i will be back shortly." i said while cleaning my mouth with the napkin.

"ohh okay no problem." He replied.

After saying this he looked at me as i got up from my seat.

I asked one stuff where the washrooms were and she directed me very well...of course i carried my phone with me and i was still moving back and forth in the toilet when my phone started ringing.

I knew it was my customer calling but i first hesitated to pick it up....after taking in a deep breathe,i finally picked it up.

Just like the others he first wanted to confirm if he is talking to Maria and i told him yes....he then told me that he is going to text me the hotel address and he needs me to reach there in the next one hour.

"Okay i'll be there with you in time." i assured him.

After hanging up i looked at the phone to see how long I have been away and i had spent some fifteen minutes....i decided to go back to Marvin before he starts looking for me as am thinking of the excuse to tell him and get out of this place.

I went back to the table and sat down in my chair.

"you made a right choice of the chicken nuggets...its really nice am impressed." he said while looking at me and at the same time looking at his plate which was almost empty.

"Look am about to empty my plate...you are going to lose so you better dig in and compensate for the time you were in the bathroom." He said to me and he was all smiling.

I didn't reply him but rather i looked down while playing with my fork and knife which were on my plate...i don't know when he brought his hand and touched me.

I nearly jumped from my seat cause i felt like electric shock pass through my entire body...Maybe if we had met in different lives,at this point i would pull him more closer and kiss him on the lips cause he is making my heart race.

"hey is everything okay??...did something happen to you in there?? You don't look to be fine and yet you left in a good mood...did someone hurt you??"He asked me as he continued and brought his other hand and touched me....he really didn't know what he is doing to me so i pulled both my hands from his and leaned back in the chair while folding my hands and rubbing my shoulders like am getting cold.

"can we please get out of this place right now?? am getting cold and i think i need to rest...i had a really long day today." i said it in a low tone.

"yah sure no problem....if you want us to leave its okay we can leave right away but please can you atleast tell me what happened cause you seemed okay a while ago...did i do anything wrong to you??" He asked me and he wanted to touch me again but i didnt give him a chance.

" no you didn't do anything wrong...am just tired please let's go." i replied as i was still folding my hands and looking at the side.

"Okay if that's the case then at least finish up your chicken on the plate before we leave." he suggested.

"No Marvin let's just go...maybe they can pack it for me i will eat it from home." I replied him.

He called one of the waitress and asked her if they can pack the chicken for me and she agreed...After packing it very well in a disposable plate,she brought it back and handed it to me.

"So i think we should go now...the chicken is here." I told him.

He said its okay and he told the waitress to bring our bill...she brought it and he cleared it plus tipping her and she was really happy cause it was some big tip and i was impressed cause this guy is really humble and sweet even though he is rich...these are the characters that are very rare in rich people cause they behave like they own the whole world just because they are rich and they end up stepping on the poor but Marvin is totally different and that warmed my heart.

We got out of the restaurant and went straight to the car...he opened the door for me and after he had settled in he first looked at me before starting the car but my eyes were stuck outside.

He started the car and when we reached my apartment he thanked me for giving him some time and i just nodded....I didn't wait for him to open for me the door so i removed the lock and opened it.....but before I stepped out he touched my hand and said,

"if there's anything I did and ruined your evening am really sorry." He apologised and his tone was full of concern but i couldn't stand his touches and being this close with him cause it disorganizes my whole system.

"trust me you didn't do anything Marvin...thanks for the dinner by the way...i really enjoyed it." I replied him and I slowly removed my hand from his grip and stepped out of the car.

I reached my room and i was like pheeewww am finally home and free from him...i put my bag on the bed and first went to the wardrobe to pick an attire for the night....after i went to the bathroom and freshened up to go and meet my customer of the day.
