Chapter 12. Message from Marble

I woke up in the morning but i was having some fatigue....i wished that i can stay in bed the whole day but its totally impossible cause i got bills to pay and am my own hero so i have to save my day.

I reached my workplace and after looking for Moris and he is nowhere to be seen,I remembered that its his day off and for some reasons i started missing him cause even though we don't talk that much at least i feel safe knowing that there is someone who has got my back at work all the time.

My lunch break reached and i had packed some pancakes and milk so i went to have them when i got a message on my phone.

"hey good afternoon....you slept off last night without replying me."

ohh holy shit!!!! i had even forgotten about Marvin...now i remember that we had some unfinished business last night.....but still i didnt know what to reply him.

"what time are you planning to pick me up??" i don't know why i texted him that but i just did.

"anytime you like is very okay with me." He replied in a text.

jeez this man is something.

"okay will text you when am done with work." I covered my face in my hands after sending that text cause am not sure where this is taking me but am ready for whatever is coming my way.

He replied that he will be waiting for my text then i put away my phone and continued with my lunch.

I got done with eating and i went back to work....evening reached and i texted Marvin that am done with work and he replied that he is on his way to pick me up.

I was getting rid of the nerves and i was happy that Marble hasn't contacted me yet and i was praying that it stays just like that cause i don't wish to ruin my evening.

In the next thirty minutes Marvin pulled over in the parking lot and i went to meet him....he also came out of the car when he saw me approaching him.

"ohh hey there...how are you??" he asked me when we came closer to each other.

"just hell tired its been a crazy day over here but i will be just fine." i replied while folding my hands.

"I can understand...so should i just take you back home and you rest or we go on with our plans of the evening??" he asked me while looking at me straight in the eyes with concern.

"no noo no we should go on with the plans please." I replied him.

He opened the door for me and i entered the car as he also went to the other side and entered.

He took me to some fancy restaurant and at first i felt like I don't belong there cause all the people i saw getting in were so classy.

I think he saw my reaction cause he held my hand and he told me that its okay and he even gave me a warm smile which made me to calm down.

We entered and he already made some reservations so we went to our table and he told me to order anything i like.

I ordered some chicken nuggets and apple juice.

"are you a fan of chicken??" he asked me with a big smile on his face.

"yes i am...and its been a while without having it." I replied him.

"okay i think am going to have the same like yours." he said while looking at the waitress that was standing by the table waiting for our orders.

In a few minutes the waitress came back with our food and for real i was starving so i immediately dug in.

I remembered that amnot alone on the table and i slowed down abit but surprisingly Marvin was cool and normal cause he was also busy eating his without forgetting to give me a warm smile whenever we made an eye contact.

"It was a good idea going with your choice." He said while looking at me and taking another bite on the chicken.

"Am glad you have loved it...but anyways you haf to love it cause i mean,who doesn't love chicken???" I asked him.

"Haha yah you are right...chicken is everyone's love...so we should do this more often how do you see?" He asked me

"Uhm okay if am free why not??...of course." I replied.

"By the way am grateful that you are here with me...thanks for accepting my invitation." He tried to show his gratitude.

"You know its hard to turn down food invites." I tried to joke abit.

"Haha ohh okay...don't worry even our next hang out Will have food involved so worry not." He continued to say while winking at me and i think I kinda blushed.

"So by the time you texted me yesterday,you had already reached home?" I asked him.

"No i was still on the way but i couldn't wait to first reach home to text you so that's why i texted you when i was still driving." He said.

"But don't they say that its not safe to use the phone while driving??" I asked him

"Yah that's what they say but even if i die when i was trying to text you,it would be worth it." He said and i couldn't believe what he just said...holy shit!!! i think i just got goosebumps allover my body....as in allover.

"You know i really take long to eat out with people cause am always busy in work so please forgive me if you find me boring." He tried to apologize.

"No no no trust me you are not boring cause am even worse...you should ask Momo she's my witness...i don't know how to keep conversations flowing." I told him.

We were still enjoying our food when my phone buzzed and it was a message from Marble saying that my client is going to call me in the next minutes.
