Chapter 2

Siana's pov

I woke up the next day and got in the shower. I pulled on a random outfit. Which was a white tee shirt, ripped jeans, and some white converses. I curled my hair than headed downstairs. "Goodnight morning love bug." Dad greeted. "Morning mi familia." I said smiling. Mom had my favorite already ready, it was waffles with Nutella and syrup, eggs, and bacon. Mom cooking was so good. I loved her food. "What are we eating tonight?" I asked "We are having lamb, mash potatoes, corn, and asparagus." She said "Yess!" I said "What?" She asked "Your cooking is so good and I love lamb. Dad you seasoning it?" I asked "You know it love bug." He said "Dinner read be smack!" I said. They laughed, I started eating. I mean stuffing my face. I was to excited for tonight, I can't wait to see Reese again! When I was down eating, I put my plate in the sink and went outside for a walk. It felt good to feel the cool breeze blow my hair back, the smell of pine cones filled the hair. I couldn't wait for the winter! I sat down on a fallen log that looked out into the this field of flowers. I relaxed and thought about Reece how could I not, he sorta had a British accent. It was like faint but there, it was noticeable. Like when he called me love, you could hear it in his voice. I'll confirm it tonight, before I knew it. I was asleep, i keep falling asleep thinking of him.

I heard a loud howl in the distance. This woke me up instantly. I looked around and saw I was outside! I was sitting on the log from earlier! I never went back home! Mom and dad are going to kill me! I didn't even tell them I was leaving. Yikes! I got up and sprinted home, I hopped over a fallen tree and landed softly on the ground. I kept running and when I got home, I saw Reece's car in the driveway. "Siana!" I heard my mom yell. "LOVE BUG WHERE ARE YOU!" I heard dad yell. I ran out into the drive way, I didn't see the car pulling up and I froze like a dear in head lights. I braced for impact but instead I was tackled into a neatly pile of racked leaves. I screamed and pushed the leaves out of my face. It was one of the guards, they quickly stood as my parents came over. "Siana what are you doing?!" Dad asked pulling me to my feet. "Where were you?!" Mom asked "I fell asleep." I said "Where?" Dad growled "On a log at the field, I didn't mean for it to happen. I thought I would of been home by now." I said truthfully. "Than you almost kill you, running out in front of a car like that. Did we teach you nothing?" Mom scolded taking leaves out my hair. "I'm sorry." I said "You're grounded." Dad said "Oh come on!" I said "2 weeks, talk back again I'll make it 4." He said my mouth dropped. 2 weeks for this! "Mom.." I whispered. "He's right, you should of told us where you were going. We were worried sick!" Mom said agreeing with dad. I groaned and started walking inside. "Where's Reece?" I asked "He went looking for you." Dad said I groaned again this time louder. "REECE!" I screamed. The guard that saved me from that car now stood by the front door. "Thanks Bruce!" I said waving at him. He nodded his head and shot me a little smile. God he's funny. I heard footsteps than arms around me when I went to see who it was. My feet lifted off the ground, I felt sparks and instantly knew it was Reece. "You're okay love." He said boom. He does have an accent. I pulled away and he set me down. "I'm fine, I fell asleep. They freaked out and now I'm grounded for 2 weeks." I said "I still can make it 4." Dad said walking inside with mom. "Nooo." I whined as I followed behind them. Reece chuckled, as he walked behind me. We got inside and sat down at the table. "Did you wash your hands?" Mom asked just as I sat down. "Mom.." I whined. "Hands washed now." Dad said I mumbled a "are you hands washed?" Under my breath. Sadly dad heard me. "Actually we did and you're grounded 4 weeks." He said I screamed and grabbed my hair. "I'll rip my hair out!" I yelled as I ran away into the kitchen. "You'll still be grounded." Mom said I was getting mad. Reece walked in, I washed my hands and mumbled stuff. I dried my hands than went back to the dinner table. "I'm not hungry." I said "Than starve." Dad said "Love bug please eat." Mom said "But momma I'm grounded for 4 weeks, I-i can't be grounded for 4 weeks. I'll loose my mind." I said eating some one my potatoes. "Sorry cupcake, it's for the best." She said Reece came and sat down next to me. He started eating, I was so mad. I started to shake my leg which I did when I was irritated, anxious, or just focused. Reece's hand shot to my knee and I instantly stopped shaking. "You need to calm down." He said "I'm just so mad, I get grounded for 4 weeks for my parents freaking out, I was safe." I said to him. "Hey we are right here." Mom snapped we all looked at her. She never snapped at me like that or even raised her voice the tiniest bit to me that was always dad's job. She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Look...just eat." She said as she grabbed her fork and started eating again. I ate my food, than got up and went into the kitchen. I rinsed my plate, I heard Reece talking my parents. "She'll get over it." He said "Its just 4 weeks." Dad said. I rolled my eyes and put my plate in the sink. "I'm going to watch a movie is that okay?" I asked "Sure than to bed." Mom said dad nodded. I motioned for Reece to follow. We got to the movie theater room and I sat in of the chairs. Reece came and sat next to me since it was for two people. "What kind of movie do you want to watch?" I asked "Disney." He said I pulled up Tarzan and started it up. But than I changed, I love Pocahontas it's like on the list of my all my favorite Disney movies. The lights started to dim and I got comfortable. My head fell on Reece's shoulder as I started falling asleep. I sat up and looked at him, he was asleep. I leaned the chair back a little. I grabbed a blanket and threw it over him, I wasn't cold yet and the blanket was small. I curled into a ball and started falling asleep again. I reached over and grabbed Reece's hand, he stirred a little and grabbed my hand back. Every time we touch there is sparks, and I love it. Last part I remember is when Pocahontas and the guy were holding hands too. I was sleeping or just falling asleep and I felt Reece let my hand go. I whimpered softly and felt around for him. "Reece.." I whined. "I'm right here love." He said yet he's British. He wrapped his arm around my waist sand laid behind me. I reached up and pressed a few buttons. The first one turned the couch into a futon and the other one muted the big screen. I didn't like the dark it gave me anxiety, when I was younger before I was adopted. My parents would do two things to me. My real dad would lock me in the closet while it was dark, he knew I was terrified of it. "Count to 20 and I'll let you out. You can't always be afraid of the dark Siana." He would tell me. I tried counting to twenty but I didn't know what came after 17! I think my dad did that on purpose. He never told me and my mom she would teach me how to "swim" in the bath tub. She would tell me to hold my breath, I'm a little kid! I can't hold my breath for how long she kept me under. So basically she would drown me and I didn't even know what she was doing. So now as a young adult, I'm terrified of water and the dark. "You okay love." I heard Reece ask. "Yeah why?" I asked "Your heartbeat sped up for a second." He said "Oh i'm fine." I said closing my eyes. "Are you British?" I asked. He laughed "Yes I am, I'm also Puerto Rican, black, and Jamaican. And a little german." He said "No wonder your so hot, your genetic are crazy." I mumbled. Good thing he didn't hear me. "How about you?" He asked. "I'm black, white and Indian. I can speak Spanish.' I said I felt him nod. Oh and I'm terrified of thunderstorms, I hate them. Reece went back to sleep and I did too. Finally someone to fall asleep next too, it was nice to fall asleep in someone's arms. It was really nice, now I know how mom feels.
