Chapter 8

Dereck's P. O. V

Something has been bothering me a lot and I think me and Dereck has to have an important talk. I don't know if im wrong but I think something is bothering Io a lot. He's more reserved than how he usually is, I mean he is the quiet type but today in the car was weird. I could tell that he had something on his mind. I wonder what it is. Io is a shy natured type of kid, he doesn't go out much and the when he does. It's either for a book or manga. Nothing spontaneous. I don't want him to be bottled up on the inside with his feelings or if something is affecting him. The worst thing is to keep everything holed up inside of you., when it explodes it isn't nice. Some people would think that with all the friends he has, he'll be more outgoing but there wrong. After parking the car I walked to the front door, from downstairs I could see Lexi making his way to our room in his towel. I'm sure the bathroom in our room was broken, he maybe had to use the guest room's bathroom. Yum. My sexy beast. Dropping the key any old way, I made my way up the stairs better to get, this off my chest sooner than later. Opening the door my tiger was now putting on a t-shirt. " Lexi can we talk for a bit ". I said.

He gave me a what talk look and then smiled. " yeah baby what's up ". He said making his over to me. Damn this man is so fine. " well I think something is up with Io, I mean he's awfully quiet these past few days. What if someone's hurting him ". I said. He looked at me then gave a faint smile. " Baby I don't think anyone can hurt Io with those wolves he has as friends". He said. " true but you don't know love " I stated. He sucked in a breath and then watched me." OK OK we'll talk to him over dinner OK love". " that's not reassuring but OK". I said. I got up to walk away but he pulled me back and planted a sloppy kiss on my lips. I smiled and went out the door and to the kitchen. Now to start dinner. I'm feeling In the mood for pizza. I started to gather the ingredients. Flour, yeast, butter, pepperoni, salami, tomato paste. All the works and I started.

When the pizza was done, I didn't have to call Lexi cause he was already watching TV in the family room, but I did have to call Io. When Lexi reached I told him to just give Io a shout, while I cut and plate the pizza.

" Io love it's time for dinner, come down would ya". Lexi shouted. No response. " Io!!!". Still no answer maybe he's sleeping, he did say he was tired. " Lexi maybe he's asleep, we'll check after we're done here OK". I said. " alright love, so I guess talking to him might have to wait till tomorrow then". He stated the obvious.

After we finished eating I packed away the leftovers for Io in the fridge, he loves my homemade pizza so much, and Lexi helped with clearing the dishes and washing them. Oh the powers of teamwork. Heh. We proceeded up the stairs but a scream, made us halt and ran to Io's room. Not again I thought as we entered his room. He was thrashing about on the bed. " Io baby we need to wake up OK". Lexi said sitting in his bed. He's been having bad dreams since we took him from that damn home. We thought it was getting better but I see that’s all my imagination. " I climbed up on his bed and pulled him into my lap and whispered and shushed him just like a woman would do her baby. He slowly stopped and went back to sleep. I took a long and concentrated look at his face. He's such a flower. I'm glad we chose him. " do you want to stay here and keep him company kitten ". Lexi asked. Anytime Io had a nightmare we would stay in cased he had a next one. Seeing him like this makes my heart break. Sleeping is the time one gets peace and quiet, but in his dreams it's a nightmare. " yeah Tiger we should stay just in case k". I said. Lexi walked over to the light switched and turned it off, then made his way back to the bed and snuggled up to us. Io in the middle and Lexi on the right and I on the left. " goodnight my Tiger ". I said. " goodnight my kitten". He replied. " goodnight our flower ". We both said at a sleeping Io.
