There isn't a moment that goes by, that the children of the St Marquis Adoption home, wishes that some rich snob or maybe a responsible adult looking to start a family would come to adopt them. Some of these kids have given up, others clinging on to the little light of hope that someone, or anyone would have pity on them and carry them home to a better life on the outside.

At least that's what 13yr old Io thinks. When you go from home to home on a regular basis, one would believe that happiness isn't for everyone, but not him. This gentle soul has been given the shittiest stick, out of them all. With his salt and pepper curls, and those sweet round mismatched eyes, he refuses to acknowledge that small portion of a fact. From having druggies for parents, being beaten till unconscious and almost being sold to the mafia. He has a heart as pure as gold and is like a shoe on a rainy day. With a head as tough as nails he's a never giving up on being happy and having a a family. He and all of the other kids can maybe agree on one thing, being in that home is worst than being homeless. That home that looks like it's seen better days, the dull eyes of the children lost in their misery, the last bitter drop of hope leaving them. Even the God forsaken abusive house mother, who seems to have it out for him, every chance she gets, thus resulting in him staying awake to watch his back every now and again.

But unbeknownst to him he will a chance to taste happiness.
