Chapter 2

" Hi sweetie. My name is Alexi and this goof over here is Dereck". I look up to find the source of that nice smooth velvety voice, and the little breeze that's passed. Took the right time to to blow the small bang covering my hideous eyes and rendering it exposed. As fast as my hands could move I swiftly put my hair back into place. Forgetting the presence of the two gentlemen before me. "Wow what beautiful eyes you have, why hide such precious eyes"?. The voice next voice states bringing me out of my awkward moment. I sat for approximately 50 seconds stunned not for the fact that they rendered me speechless with their happy like aura and amazing voices. But that these two seemed to have the same colour of my eyes. Alexi I assumed has sea green eyes, like the loveliest Caribbean Sea, blonde hair almost white and a height of maybe a Giant. While Dereck on the other hand has some really light baby blues like the sky on a sunny day, a head or two shorter than Alexi, with bright fire red hair and can easily pass a rock band leader. These two look liked they walked out of a modelling catalogue.

Someone clears their voice to get rid of the silent atmosphere. "Ummmm" I try to speak. I can't help the blush that makes it's way to my face, why the hell am I so flustered?. Trying again to find my voice for the second I managed to squeak out a response. "Hi..... I. I. I'm Iolani but everyone calls me Io". I said sounding nervous as hell, stuttering the shamelessly. What is this feeling?. I feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside all of a sudden. Strange this has never happened to me before Io thought to himself.

"I can see you like to space out alot , that's at least something you have in common with Dereck" the man Alexi spoke smiling widely. "I think it's cute" he continues with an amused look on his face. Io couldn't believe such things comes out of a grown man's mouth. And it seems as though this man was unaware of how he was making Io's face look from all the flattery. Like a tomato. "alright love that's enough, can't you see you're making the kid. Look like a bombs that's about to explode" he exclaimed. Io didn't know how to react to these two, they acted as though they were in a everlasting happy bubble, and yet he couldn't get ignore the feeling that they might actually adopt him.

"how about we go somewhere quiet and have us a little chat" Dereck piped up. All Io could do was nod his. He was trying with his all to figure out Alexi and his husband Dereck. The man called Alexi started to walk followed by Dereck, who stopped, looked back and held out his right hand for Io to grab on. Io grabbed hold and avoided making eye contact. So no one would see his obvious blush.

Io and the two gentle souls spent half and hour more than the appointed time, talking about his past, Their past. Laughing and getting comfortable with one another. The day was almost to an end and the time for them to make a decision was right around the corner. He thought to himself that they make a perfect couple. And Can also make it through alot of the obstacles. Like their as tough as nails.

"Io would you like to come home with us"? the question every kid wants to hear, the billion dollar question. Words couldn't seem to come out of his mouth at the moment. He was afraid of crying his heart out and looking like a wuss so he kept it in and went for a nod of his head vigorously. He slowly rose from his seat and timidly went to the side of his future parents, and all three made their way to the office of the housemother. Part of his heart was aching him, he would be leaving all his friends behind, even poor old Chandler. Then it finally sank in he was leaving for good. No coming back. He was sure of himself, the ones that adopted him was the ones he'd be been waiting for. But then again he thought a new adventure awaited him outside of this home and he didn't stop the bright smile from forcing it's way to his face.
