Chapter 1: Louis and Angels

I made my way to my very first class but somehow there were only 4 people here. I stare at them intently, they look beautiful. They wore simple clothes they look younger than me though ... but they seem to have this aura ... like, I feel calm just by looking at them. They all looked at me and smiled.

I wait for them to do something, but the only thing they did was look at me up and down. “Um... what are you guys doing, if you don’t mind me asking?” I asked. They snapped their heads to me and a look of happiness and shock ... what is wrong with them now?. A boy with brown hair and Dark Brown eyes went towards me, I wanted to back away, but I felt glued to my place, what the hell!.

“Hi, I’m Calum Hood; You must be a new guy, Louis Tomlinson? And it seems you are human, this is the first time in a hundred years a human came to study at our school” Calum said to me, “yeah, I’m Louis Tomlinson, You can call me Louis and – wait, what do you mean, first time having a human around here, aren’t you guys human?” I asked

They laughed and looked at me, they thought I was kidding, I kept a straight face and waited for them to stop laughing, their faces dropped “You’re serious?” Calum asked me, I nodded “Why wouldn’t I be? ... please tell me you guys are here to explain –I gestured to my surroundings—This” They smiled and I smiled back at them, I’m only smiling back because I feel very awkward at this very situation, them laughing at me and thought I was kidding when I asked about being the only human around here, it’s pretty embarrassing if you ask me, No one asked you, Louis, My inner thoughts is buggering me again ... stop.

“Well we might as well tell you the history of all of this and maybe you can tell us your story so we can get started with your very first class, and if you’re wondering what is your first class? it’s actually just a mere introduction to introduce people and their ... powers and stuff” Calum Said to me and grabbed me a chair, I sat down in front of them and I look at the other three who looks very Happy... too happy. Calum saw me looking at them in confusion, he somehow got my point that I still don’t know the names of the others.

“Boys, introduce yourselves, talk,” Calum said chuckling, A boy with Pink hair thumped Calum at the back of his head, making Calum glare at him, Making me laugh at their childish behavior. “I’m Michael Clifford,” Michael said and looked at the blond-haired styled in a quiff boy at the back who looks at me shyly and smiles “I’m Luke Hemmings” Before I could look at the remaining one and ask him what is his name, he already made his way to my side his arms on my shoulder giving me a one-armed hug, which I find awkward yet calming at the same time, “I’m Ashton Irwin” I slowly back away from the awkward man-hug and look at Calum.

Ashton dimmed the lights and locked the classroom door, I still felt calm, yet I know I should be worried something might happen to me, but I don’t. My eyesight went blank and I started to panic, then a bright light came to my eyes, I squinted at the sudden light and saw the four boys standing beside me, and I noticed our surroundings looked like the past era. “Umm, what the hell is happ—“ I got cut off by a ball that flew through me. Through, It literally flew through me, and I panicked again.

“Calm Down, Louis, We are trying to tell you the history of this school, so we used our powers to flashback to the early days,” Calum said to me while keeping a straight face like it was normal and shit. It wasn’t, it’s freaking me out, but of course, I'm being weird today, I just felt calm.

Luke put his arms around me and I felt like the world was much brighter, literally. The light was too bright that I couldn’t see anything. “Okay, Louis are you ready to know what is the history of this school?” Michael asked me I could hear his voice behind me. I nod and I heard a snap. And my sight came back to normal and I was facing a stage with a man on the top of it tied to a pole with wood underneath him.

*It all started when a vampire was caught killing his adopted daughter at a mansion where our school is now placed, the humans and mythical creatures lived together in one place back then, but that changed it all because of what that vampire did Calum gestured at the man tied to the pole and I nodded for him to go on. *They cursed him and wanted him dead, they tied him to a pole and tried to burn him so he could die, they didn’t know that a vampire can’t die through flames so as they sent him in flames The man was burned in flames right before my eyes making me shiver in fear The vampire stayed very still, not even hurt by the fire and pretended to be dead, humans thought mythical creatures will start to kill them one by one, so they forced them to get out of their town.

*The vampire was sad about being rejected from his own home, from the humans he once thought would respect and accept his kind, so he created a village of his own and wanted all the mythical creature to know the truth of what had happened and how to prevent humans to know about their existence. My sight became bright again, and then turned to normal as a man, that the boys said was a vampire – even though I still think he looks like a human—was standing again on a stage trying to say something about humans, but the people seem to not understand, but only specific people were actually listening.

*Soon he knew no one was interested in the new way to live that he is teaching them, so he came up with the plan to build a place where they could learn all about it and even learn more stuff about their powers and gifts, and the advantages and disadvantages of their kind.

I blink multiple times to get rid of the blurriness of my eyes. I see them looking at me waiting for a reaction. “So this school is literally built for mythical creatures? Then why did the school accepted me here?” I ask them. They smiled “It’s because you have a special keen of mind that no human has ever thought of, and that is to have a risk to study and live at a place you know will be dangerous and interesting at the same time,” Ashton said to me in a matter of fact voice.

“I’m special because I was curious about a school that people are scared of?” They nod Michael just look at me I look at him confused “I think that’s not the only reason you’re are here but you don’t need to worry about that, because the school won’t accept you if you have a bad intention, so whatever the reason is, there is nothing wrong with it or you” Michael said to me and smiled

I smile at them “Thanks, for actually taking time to tell me the history, but what about the powers and stuff?” I ask them. The bell rang and I look at them confused “It’s lunchtime Louis, let’s discuss this in the cafeteria, it’s actually a good thing because we can show you the powers in person” I nod and follow them to the cafeteria.

I felt tons of eyes on me, staring at me with mixed emotions of admiration, hatred, love ... hunger. As I sat down with Calum, Luke, Michael, and Ashton, I felt very self-conscious. And I tried hard to ignore it, but I can’t so I just made myself busy by listening to the boys. I can still feel the stares though, and I hate it.

“So we’ll start off by saying we are angels, angels are the people whose looks and the way they walk and talk is similar to humans, we only differ in the way we can see things and control it. We can control people’s emotions and dreams and we can also read minds, but your Louis is unreadable, we actually thought you were the real version of Bella swan, -- they laughed—from twilight? You know that right?” They asked me I nod and smiled, these boys read twilight? –Or watched whatever floats their boat --

“So yeah, we don’t actually know why your mind is unreadable, maybe that’s why they accepted you here because you’re the only human we can’t read, we can also show you flashbacks and stuff that we saw from our perspective, or from our ancestors perspective,” Luke said. I nod understanding them, that’s why I felt calm when I’m with them; they were actually controlling me this whole time.

“Ok, so the next one will be witches” I shook my head to the “No need, my best friend is a witch she’s actually the one who introduced me to this school, her name is Eleanor Calder, maybe you know her?” I ask them, they all smiled. “Yeah, we know her we see her a lot she usually hangs out with Liam Payne, the other witch in this school, they are the last of their kind though, but they could still teach humans on how to be them, so it’s not a problem, not like werewolves,” Calum said

“Werewolves?” I asked, A guy in a leather jacket with black hair in a quiff, brown eyes, and a sleeve tattoo came in the cafeteria and all of them went silent, I didn’t know what was happening. “Yes, Werewolves like him” Calum whispered while pointing at the guy. “His name is Zayn Malik, and he’s the last of his kind with his sister and father, not like witches and angels, he can’t teach someone to be a werewolf, he can turn someone into one, but he refuses to do that because he doesn’t want humans to suffer, like what he says he did”

I nod as Zayn sat in a table up front, The guy that was staring at me earlier came rushing to the door with the blue-eyed blonde in tow and rushed towards zayn “How about him?” I ask them, they all looked at me with terrified looks “He is Harry Styles and The blonde one is Niall Horan, they are Love Vampires” Luke said to me, I furrowed my eyebrows “Love, Love vampires?” I look at Harry and I didn’t know that he was actually looking at me so I turn away from his stare, slightly blushing to stop it, Louis, you’re acting like a girl.

“Yes, Love vampires, vampires that only lives whether you are loved or in love, Niall Horan is in love with Harry, he doesn’t have control over it, he needs it to stay alive, as for Harry, he is unlucky, he is cursed to only love the chosen one, but unfortunately rumor has it that the chosen one is already dead, so he can’t live without a love one, so he kills innocent people as a substitute, it’s very sad though, but we don’t think he minds, maybe he’s already used to it,” Michael said to me.

It is very sad, if I was in his place I don’t think I could ever kill someone to live, I’ll probably just die without doing anything if I can’t love someone that can keep me alive, instead of killing innocent people, I feel sadder to the people he killed though. Calum cleared his throat and I snapped from my thoughts, I must have zoned out.

“Are you okay?” Luke asked. I nod and smiled for them to continue, “The last one will be fairies, they are not typical mythical creatures, fairies are specifically girls only, girls who have a keen fashion sense and other girly stuff, it’s cliché I know, but if you betray them they can kill you with a snap of their finger, they can also torture you with endless nightmares that they will put to you once you sleep” I nod taking all of the things they said to me and stored it in my brain, I wouldn’t want to end up dead in this place, because I’m the only human here, who’s unreadable and very curious and also can be easily killed if you don’t do the right thing, and I don’t even have powers to protect myself, which I have though.

2 girls made their way to our table, and I almost ran outside, I feel very scared, I don’t know why, suddenly I feel Ashton’s hands on my shoulder and I felt calm, man, these boys are good at controlling my emotions. “Hi! You must be Louis Tomlinson, human, unreadable mind, no powers, no bad intentions kind of human, right?” A girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, dull, it makes it look like her eyes are silver/gray.

I nod, and she the 2 girls squealed, I flinched at the tone, I don’t know why, but it made my ears throb inside and my head to burn, I shrug it off, till it faded away. “Ok, I’m Perrie Edwards, and this is Danielle Peazer, we are both fairies and we heard so much about you, some are good, some are just plain old rude, don’t worry though, we are always here for anything,” Perrie said excitingly almost like a little kid who is getting candy. I look at her friend who seems calmer, she has curly brown hair with tints of blonde/light brown in them, she has dark brown eyes and nice cheekbones, if I wasn’t gay, I would totally be crushing on one of them, or both, you’ll never know.

“Thanks that means a lot to me to know somebody actually likes me here,” I said, Perrie and Danielle sat beside us, I looked at the four boys staring at me, I forgot, I was supposed to tell them my story. “Ok, my story is simple, I’m from Doncaster, I like playing football, I was the football captain, and everyone liked me, until one day I told them I was gay, they all treated me like hell, so I changed schools, since then I had the urge to change schools because I want to find a school that fits me and that makes my life more interesting, so Eleanor my best friend told me to enroll here, so I did, My parents are a bunch of hypocrites they disowned me for some reason that I really don’t give a f*ck about, and since then I have been living with Eleanor and her boyfriend. “ I finished I didn’t tell them all of it like the time I got raped by one of my classmates because I don’t want them to know that the guy was killed a day after they might suspect me as the killer, but I didn’t do anything I don’t actually remember it.

Eleanor said that maybe I had some stalker that eliminates all the people who treat me badly, which is bad and good at the same time, bad because killing is just not good, it’s bloody awful, it’s good in some way because I never got bullied again, but my life turned completely boring though. Maybe this is why I’m unreadable; I think too much and change my mind so fast. I sighed and frowned, looking at my new friends while they look at me worriedly “It’s nothing I just don’t want to talk about my past too much because it gives me head burns” They all nodded except Michael who seems to be terrified, he bumped his elbow to the boys and pointed behind me, I was scared but i still turned around.
