Chapter 6

One Punch

Up until now, they still couldn't believe that Isabela got in. Well, the school is low cost, nevertheless, they're grateful that somehow... Isabela got accepted.

The school starts 3 weeks from now so, she have to ready herself.

Meanwhile at the La Sangre University. Mr. Richard Alpuerto a witch and a healer, one of the first year adviser was called in the office by the Dean.

He compose himself as he knock on the Dean's Office. "Come in Mr. Alpuerto," called by the Dean.

He open the door and entered. Richard bow down. "I heard you let another commoner in, in our school." The Dean started.

Richard cleared his throat. Before he could say anything, the Dean started talking again.

"I know that you just want to help those low ranking creatures, but our school is slowly fading."

"It'll be useless sir, high rank creatures usually applied at higher standards. We cannot bribe anyone into entering our school. The only choice we have is to approve all of the creatures who applied. That's our only options,"

Well, there was only one vampire applied who cannot use magic. When a creature applied at a school and do not meet the standard, that particular school usually give La Sangre University as a recommendation. Richard was even surprised that someone actually applied.

The Dean rolled his eye. Even his family expected better job from him. A dean is a great job, but the state he has right now, is not great. It's terrible. He couldn't even show off to his in laws. Once he find a better position, and not this in school. He will surely quit.

He find Richard annoying. Because Richard is one of the Adviser who get to choose who's to approve a student. Richard is a new adviser, he had a different vision, well he was sure Richard is just a goody-goody at his first year, he was sure that Richard is as well like him. No job hiring at another school, that's why Richard stayed. But that's just his assumption.

He dismissed the adviser.

2 Weeks Later

Isabela woke up late so Sheil had to wake her up. Isabela has been training herself to squeeze out the magic she has been hiding but to no avail.

Well, she was sure that she will be kick out at the first day of school.

Sheil and Levi's transportation was already to pick them up since they are from the same school.

Levi and Sheil are preparing for their luggage. At first, Issa was a bit confused as to why they are carrying a huge bag it was too late for them to tell her that all of the school requires them to stay closer to the school.

Sheil and Levi had to bid their goodbyes. Sheil and Levi was so worried for their little sister. Not only because they couldn't escort their little sister first day of school. They are more nervous than Issa who is just chillin'.

Isabela pack a little lighter than her siblings. Why? Well, she just assumed that she might not be staying for a whole month or weeks, or days. She didn't mind though, she just want a little experience. That's all.

"Where do I sleep? Do the school provide that as well?" Issa ask while they were taking their breakfast.

Her family sigh. "Issa.." her father was a little hesitant on what he was about to say. "Um. Your Kuya Levi and Ate Sheil already had their own dorms provided by the clubs you entered."

"Oh, so I have to join a club?" Issa ask. "I hope I'll make lots of friends!" Issa cheerly said.

"Well, it's harder than that. But your mama and I will give you a pocket money in case... anything will happen."

Issa shrug it off. Although she wants to refuse the offer, because she notice the shortage of their household. She didn't say anything. She was sure to repay them back.

"Don't worry Issa, we'll probably sent you another money once we get our pay back." Her papa smiled at her.

"Ahh, don't worry paps. I might be the one who'll sent you money after." She obnoxiously said which makes her father smile.

"Your pick up is almost here, better ready yourself." her mama said.

Isabela ready herself. She felt nervous and it excites her.

When her pick up arrived she bid goodbye to her family. She wanted to say, 'see you tomorrow,', because she felt like it. She didn't though, because that'll make her weak. It means she's too weak to proceed another day at school.

Unlike her siblings pick up, only few creatures was in there. They were only 5 creatures on the pick up. And they all look like they are having a bad time. "Hi," she squeak. Non of them respond. Well, that was awkward. Isabela told herself.

Since they all look like they're about to eat her alive, Isabela sat at the last seat.

The ride to school was a bit far. She guess it was because of the driver, she can walk faster than this pick up does.

When she notice the familiar school, Issa unlike the others, felt so much excitement. A fairy guardian became their tourist guide.

The guardian toured them around. There were only 15 first year students including Issa. They are under Mr. Richard Alpuerto, a witch and a healer and the only first year advisor.

In other school, they have so many first year entries. But in their University, only a few students because that's the only few creatures who can use small magics. They're pretty much the loser. But Issa didn't know that or mind that. She felt grateful as soon this school accepted her. Oh yes she had seen the extravagant looking school, although her school looks like shit, she loves this shit.

"Hi, my name is Glacia. And you are?" ask a mixed werewolf-witch.

"I'm Isabela, nice to meet you Glacia!" Issa cheerly said.

"You seemed hyper unlike us," Glacia chuckled.

Isabela blushed. She must look like an ignorant immigrant. "Oh, this is my first time..." Isabela said.

"I wish I could be happy as you. La Sangre is a shitty place for us losers..." Glacia sadly said. "I'm not going to spoil your happiness, but nobody graduate in this school. Usually, at second week of this school most of the students are drop out."

"Why?" Isabela ask.

"Why? Well, aside from the embarrassment to be in this school, nobody will accept someone like us in a club, our money will be waste trying to rent off on a room. Well be lucky if we get in,." Glacia peevish.

"Clubs? Why won't anyone accept us in a club?" Isabela ask. Now worried.

She found out why later that night.

Isabela couldn't help blaming her siblings from not telling her about club. This was the reason why her papa gave her a huge amount of money.

A club is one of the organization made by the school like a fraternity. A club is a place where your food and sleeping area will be. Like a dorm. Only that, it runs by a president of the said club, there are also member and last but not the least in order to enter the club is through their initiation.

It doesn't matter what school you enter as long as you do the initiation.

The problem was, there are 20 clubs she failed to enter because she did not meet the said qualifications. There were dorm that doesn't require magics but it was already in fully booked. Issa wanted to cry out, she didn't want to spend the money her parents struggle to have. And damn, it starts raining. Well, she guess she had no choice but to rent a place.

She was already soaking wet and she wanted to cry. Issa was walking when she noticed a loud banging music in the forest. She was looking for a place to stay in so she went to the forest to investigate.

The music became louder as she was going nearer the place. The place was dark but full of disco balls. A lot of guys are drinking, smoking and having fun. She read the sign. The signs are big and scary and was written in all caps.

BEWARE

OF WOLF GANG, BEES, FANGS, FREAKS ETC. ETC

NO ENTRY

CLUB 3569

There are some guys lining up as well.

"In order to enter enter the club. Punch the machine and reach 9000 score above."

There were 3 guys lining up. The first guy punch and he reached for only 5000, second guy punch and reached 3450, the third guy punch and reached 7000 score, almost. Sheeze, that must've been hard.

Well, she have to try. She didn't want to spend the money.

Now she found herself standing on the machine. Before she could punch a those guys who was lining up before her talk.

"Pfft, you got to be kidding me. Don't hurt yourself miss. Even us, didn't get to reached 9000scare. What could a mere girl vampire like you do any different?" they laugh.

Isabela was annoyed. Well she wanted to try. What annoys her more is that, a lot of men gathered at the scene to look. They are betting as well.

Well, Isabela looks like a weak girl. Even though she had a hard training, vampire girl doesn't get to build up their muscles unlike guys.

"345,"

"700,"

"-2," they laugh.

"Punch! Punch! Punch! Punch!" chanted the guys.

Isabela clicked her neck.

Her last chance of hope.

One punch.

PAK!

Everyone became quite. Isabela's eyes became huge. Damn it, she's in trouble.

The machine went broken as her hands penetrated to the punching machine.
