You almost killed me

I release him from the hug to see him looking at me weirdly. He's looking at me like i just committed a sacrilege and i have to roll my eyes again.

I touch his hand again and a memory presents itself to me. I clasp my hand over my mouth. I close my mouth because I'm sure that if Jack sees me laughing then he'll probably kill me.

"Don't even dare."

He looks at me like he might just roast me and this is what truly gets me laughing. This is what gets me laughing like a maniac . I thank the stars that no one recognises me.

Well they do but Jack is helping make sure that they forget me promptly. Quiet promptly if I might add and even he's suprised at the extent of his powers. I'm glad he's this strong.

I'm sure Sophia wouls never forgive me for cackling like an old hag in public.

"I'm sorryyyyyy" I say still not being able to control my laughter and I'm sure that if i continue this way then I'll end up choking on my laughter.

"It'd serve you right to choke on that evil laughter" Jack says muttering to himself and i have to chuckle even more loudly at this.

"Don't you think you're over reacting Jack. He probably didn't see us". He touches my hand of his own volition and i pick up what he wants me to see. I pick up what i had seen before and i erupt into fresh laughter at this.

David looks suprised, he looks suprised for someone who claims he hates Jack and the person in question is blushing furiously now.

"He still hates me"

"Then let him hate you" I say and Jack rolls his eyes.

He looks oddly sad as he takes a seat by one of the chairs that is on the sidewalk. I knew i was doing the right thing by asking for them last summer. Dad is oddly efficient

"Are you going to listen to me or not?" Jack says and I put on my serious face.He scrunches his face in displeasure and i have to shake my head.

A child.He's a child.

"I can still hear you"

Oooops.

"Alright I'm all ears" i say sitting beside him and he looks at the pendant in his hand. He's twisting it in his hand and i wonder who he got it from.

"I'm not that enamored with David. It's all a misunderstanding" He says this in a very resigned tone and i nod my head because that is what he's been saying ever since how his feelings around David took on an even shakier feel.

It's almost like he's shaken when he's around this particular jerk.

"Have you seen this happen around anyone else before?" I say hoping he understands me clearly enough.

He picks the rest of what i mean from my mind. He picks it from my head and an evil smile curls up his lips.

"It happens all the time when you see a picture of a certain Prince A .."

My stomach drops.

"I don't want to talk about Alex-a"

"It's Alexander and you know that"

"Have you seen the new video that is flying around about him on the net?" I say looking towards Jack and he smirks.

"It's all they talk about in school"

"You think l'd ever fall for such an animal?"| say looking at him and he shakes his head.

"Are you sure we're taking about the same video here?" He says and my cheeks flush red at this.

"The heck were you thinking about Jack?" He smiles. He smiles as he touches me and I snap my hand away from him.

I criss cross the road without any further prompting needed. I cross without anyone else needing to coax me because i need to wash out my eyes. I need to wash out my eyes and purify my mind and i can hear Jack still laughing as he follows me.

"Be careful unless you'll fall" I'm not stopping. I'm not stopping for anything and I'm flying down the stairs to the park now. I'm practically leaping down the stairs as i can already see the castle in the distance. Just a few more steps and I'll be home.

I don't notice when i start falling. Heck, i didn't even notice when I tripped.

All i could remember was that one minute i was walking down the stairs like a dignified Disney princess and the next i was almost flying off it.

Strong arms catch me buy the waist.I can feel a pair of arms grab me by the waist and i have to thank the stars that I'm actually in some shorts and not a skirt.

Jack would not let me hear the end of it if l was to flash everyone my underwear.

I am still frozen. I am still frozen as my mind is trying to figure out what just happened when a fascinating scent drifts into my nostrils.

When i use the word scent i mean scent because l can't consider this a smell. I can't consider this a smell. This person scents of honey and vodka. A spicy scent that tickles the nose and makes me relax instinctively to his touch.

"Are you okay?" I hear a voice say. A deep voice that makes me involuntarily smile and I nod my head. I don't even know who this person is and he's still holding my waist but i don't care about that. I don't care about that right now.

"Are you sure?" He says leaning closer tobme and i cannot see his face. He's wearing a sports cap.

His breath tickles my ear and i try to hide my smile as I make a show of tucking my dark hair behind my ears.

"I'm very fine, thank you sir" My words have the desired effect.They have the desired effect as the person practically drops his hands from my waist and I am placed a little bit more firmly on the floor.

Jack looks shoved and I sneer at him.
