I was just leaning on the car and didn't wait long because I saw the woman and Hiro leaving the house a few minutes later. Hiro was guiding the woman carefully. I quickly threw my cigarette on the ground, stepped on it, and approached them.
"Get inside the car," I ordered the girl, but I wasn't looking at her but at Hiro.
The woman followed without a word and turned her back on us.
"Is it true that she doesn't remember anything?" I asked Hiro right away.
"It could be true. Because of too much fear or trauma, it's possible, Saint. But I can't say that I'm certain a hundred percent because I'm not a psychologist," he answered.
I just nodded to him in agreement. "Okay, thanks."
"I have already prescribed medicine for her. As soon as possible, I hope you can give it to her right away. She needs to take those medicine, especially the pain reliever," he said, but I didn't answer him and turned around to go to my car.
I finally got on it and started the engine without a word. After 5 minutes, I arrived at my house since it was close to Hiro's. I took out the house key and went inside, where the woman was following me from behind.
"Follow me," she said to her and went straight up the stairs.
She was silent as she followed me to the 3rd floor. I stopped in front of a black door and opened it, then went inside.
"You will sleep here tonight," I said, turning on the light and glancing at her.
"T-thank you," she said softly, and I grinned because of that.
"Don't be thankful because you might regret it in the end. You don't know me yet. You never know; I might be worse than the person who wants to kill you," I spoke, and slowly approached her. I heard her gulping. "But don't worry, as long as you are useful to me, you are safe. I also want to let you know that I know the person who wants to kill you. I know him, and he knows me." I immediately noticed the shock in her facial expression. "I can bring you back to him whenever I want."
I grabbed her chin and violently lifted it so that our eyes met.
"But that won't happen if you just obey everything I want. Because if you're Helmer's toy, I can use you so that you're useful to me." I also violently let go of her chin, the reason why her head immediately turned to the side.
The corner of my lips lifted again before I left the room.
Right! I can use her against Helmer. I know that guy, and he won't stop until he finds his toy.
He will go crazy if he doesn't kill that girl, so this is an excellent opportunity for me to enter the scene.
Hiro Tanaka's POV
I was quietly treating this girl after Saint left my clinic.
I just looked at her seriously, and that's when I noticed she didn't even bother with me cleaning her wound as if she wasn't hurt. She was just dumbfounded as she bowed.
I think the parts of her body that have wounds are still numb, so she doesn't feel anything. Her condition is pitiful; I can say that everything that happened to her is traumatic. Well, what else can I expect from that Helmer? He's such a heartless man.
Helmer is violent when it comes to his toys because that's where he gets satisfaction for himself. He will torture the woman until she kneels and begs for their lives; that's the part he enjoys the most. Then after that, he will kill them, and no one will know where their body is. That's the kind of person he is. I don't know him personally, but he's a demon like his own name.
I don't know if this girl is lucky because she escaped from Helmer or unlucky because I know there is still a big danger waiting for her.
"You said you're Dein, right?" I asked her, and this time she looked at me and nodded once as her answer. I am shady to speak up, but I had to. "I'm one of Saint's friends; I'm Hiro," I introduced myself first. She didn't say anything, but she was looking straight at me. "I'm loyal to Saint, but I'm warning you, Dein… when he wants to return you to the person who did this to you, it's better if you just agree."
She frowned because of what I said and quickly shook her head. She even gave me a skeptical look.
"D-didn't you hear what I said? That man wants to kill me, and then you want me to go back there?" she said, teary-eyed.
I expected that she would react like that to what I said, so I stopped treating her for a while and gave her a serious look.
"And do you think that you are also safe with Saint?" I asked the reason why she quickly averted her gaze.
I'm not backstabbing Saint, but I'm doing whatever is best for both of them.
First, if Helmer bought her, that means she's Helmer's toy, and she belongs to him. And Saint can't steal her because if he does, Saint will be in big trouble. Whatever Helmer does with his toys, Saint should stay out of it because that's the rule in their organization.
Second, I know Saint well, and I can say that he's worse than Helmer. Every move she makes will be watched; as long as she is useful to him, she is safe, but what if Saint will not benefit from her?
I know that Dein will also be hurt when she returns to Helmer, but it is better to return something to the owner before it is damaged than to get it damaged by someone else.
I know my explanations are foul, but I cannot save her. Besides, I know that she doesn't have the ability to run away because Helmer will always find her no matter where she hides unless someone is going to help her who is also as powerful as Helmer or has the ability to do that.
Saint and Helmer are big people; they are both powerful, so they are hard to fight. It could be a bonus that Saint is my friend, so I can't go against him.
"But he saved me," she answered, still not looking at me.
"But it doesn't mean you're safe."
"I am not safe from that, Helmer, either. As long as my life lasts longer to Saint, then I'll stay with him," she seemed so determined at what she uttered.
Because of that, I just let out a deep breath and continued to treat her again.
I hope she will not regret her choice. Because when the time comes for her to regret everything, maybe it will be too late, and she will be close to the brink of her death.
