Jace woke up only to find himself alone in bed, his face immediately dropped but instantly lit up when he saw a letter on the bedside table.
It was a letter written by Omar, Jace grabbed the letter reading it.
Beautiful, I hope you have a good sleep,
I am needed at the company.
I will see you later at dinner.
In the meantime, you are welcome to explore
The garden and library.
With a sigh Jace got out of the warm bed and made his way into the bathroom, he realized then that there were neatly folded clothes for him on the bathroom counter.
Once again Jace thoughts lingered to Omar his heart swelling,
Jace was never used to people pampering him or being nice to him if he wanted or needed anything he would save money to buy it himself or would go without.
Stepping into the shower, Jace instantly felt refresh droplets of water hitting his tensed and sore muscles.
Stepping back into the bedroom, Jace saw the same maid he had been seeing since he first arrived setting up his breakfast walking up to the table Jace sat down thanking the maid who always likes never responded.
While having his breakfast, he thought about his old life and wondered how the children at the orphanage are doing?
Since he was on semester break from his hectic school life, Jace had been going to the orphanage, helping and reading to the children.
The children would always be delighted every time he came; someday he would bring them sweets and pastry from the cafe he works at, the owner, a couple in their mid-fifties would pack leftover pastry that didn't get sold for him to bring to the children. He loved seeing their smiling face.
Thinking about the children brought tears to his eyes, he missed them, reminding himself to ask Omar later tonight if he could go and see them tomorrow.
The maid that prepared his breakfast came back to clear the table away, another this time, another maid had also arrived and was instructed to tend to Jace's needs.
“Can I go to the gardens?”
The maid, whose name was Clair, nodded and responded saying.
“Master Omar has instructed you to me; I am to follow and keep you safe at all times.”
Seeing how angry Clair sounded Jace nodded, he could understand how Clair felt she had to keep her eyes on him like he was a sort of child.
Waiting For Jace to be done dressing, Clair then led him outside, taking him to explore the garden.
The outside was as beautiful as the inside of the mansion. Omar had a vast garden that went on for miles; there were so many trees as well as flowers. Despite it being cold, some of the trees are still beautiful.
The flowers were currently in hibernation but soon would bloom once again bringing their unique floral smell when spring arrived.
Jace walked deep into the garden when he arrived at a platform; it had a big pond underneath with small fishes swimming in the pond, it also had a bridge that people could walk across to the other side where more trees and other exotic plants could be seen.
The pond also has lotus flowers, but due to the cold weather, the lotus flower is not in full bloom.
Luscious green trees and other flowers surround the pond itself.
He made his way to the bench and sat down to look at the small fishes swimming in there; there were all types of coloured fishes in there. He asked Clair to join him on the bench and to come out of the cold, she walked towards him but chose to stay a fair distance from him.
He tried to make small talk with her, but she would give him short answers that indicated she does not want to chat, after failing to make a normal conversation with Clair Jace then suggesting that they go back inside.
