Jace woke up to find himself in an unfamiliar place, his eyes adjusting to the light, once he finally opened them again, he was in awe.
He had never seen a more luxurious place in all his 21 years of life. The room is designed in an old fashion style, making him feel like being in the Victorian era.
The whole room is painted in dark colours with white antique furniture making the room even out. Jace got out of the big four post king size bed, his feet making contact with warm, fluffy rugs.
Jace could see the sunlight shining in through the large windows; when he opened the window he could see that everything is covered in white snow, the light winter breeze made contact with his skin and face making him shiver slightly.
Even though the sun is shining it isn't enough to melt the snow, Jace wishes he could go outside and run through the snow and forget about his hectic life for just a moment.
But that is not something Jace has the pleasure of doing. Growing up in an orphanage he had to learn to count on himself, he didn't have a family member that he could go to for help, hell he doesn't even know if he has any family.
Because of these reasons, Jace had always just tried to focus on his studies and make his living day to day, having no room to enjoy what life has to offer.
So deep in his thought, Jace is unaware of the doorknob turning, it wasn't till he heard footsteps did he turn around. Jace remembers the person that had just walked in,
it was only a brief moment, but Jace had felt like he knew this person, the same person that had caught him before he hit the ground yesterday when he was making his way towards the orphanage.
He could hear his heart beating so hard, this person that he had never met before till yesterday, a stranger, making him feel nervous, making him feel something brewing inside of him, a warm feeling,
Because of his background and current lifestyle, Jace had never dated or thought about dating anyone, so he doesn't know what it's like to be loved or loving someone back.
One thing he is sure about is that this man, the one that has godlike features that will put any model to shame is making him feel all warm and fuzzy, his heart is swelling up from what he doesn't know. If fate does exist, he hopes to be in this man's life forever.
The man walked towards Jace, stopping when he was mere inches from him. The man didn't say a word nor did Jace the two only stared at each other; the more Jace stared into the man's eyes, he could see the wisdom and loneliness hidden deep in the depths of his silver eyes.
The more Jace stared, the more he became mesmerised in them.
"Excuse me," said Jace
It was when Jace spoke did the man come out of a trance, he lost his composure for a minute before adjusting himself and clearing his throat.
"Please move away from the window, it's frigid out there." said the man turning back towards the bed, he sat on the sofa while Jace made his way to sit on the opposite side of the man.
"Please can you tell me where I am and what your name is? I want to repay you for saving my life, and be on my way."
Before anything else could, a light knock came from the door followed by a maid who pushed a trolley into the room, she placed the teapot along with scones and muffins on the small round coffee table then left shutting the door quietly behind her.
"Omar is my name; you don't need to repay me for anything."
Omar had poured each of them a cup of warm tea then handed one to Jace who accepted it willingly. Jace took a sip of the tea then spoke.
" I'm Jace by the way Jace Norman, I know I can't repay you as much but I want to give you something back for saving me." Jace who had spoken had kept his face down not knowing that pair of cold eyes were watching him.
Being a man of little words, Omar did not speak even after the younger man sitting across from him had said. Looking at the person sitting opposite of him, many thoughts ran through Omar's mind.
From the soft man curls to his small feet, a little pale face, long lashes, big doe-eyes cherry red lips with slender figure smooth skin, everything about the younger man looked positively delicious.
The more Omar stared, the more he felt himself becoming hard, making him very uncomfortable to sit.
To think that this person is his fated one, his other half, his soulmate, the very being given to him by the gods to live and spend the rest of his life with.
Having lived for centuries, Omar had given up on finding his fated one, thinking that he was already destined to spend the rest of his miserable existence alone.
After a long time, Omar replied to the younger man.
“You don't have to repay me, saving you was part of my duty if it were someone else they would have done the same”
“Yes but..”
"if you wanted to pay me back, just consider this as your new home and live here."
Jace was about to take another sip of his tea when he heard Omar's request, shocked is what he can feel after he had listened to what Omar had said if he gave him the wrong impression of himself then this man has another thing coming.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not selling myself if that is what you're referring too then you are mistaken," said Jace getting up from his seat
Feeling angry and sad Jace tried to open the door with blurry eyes, tears gathering around his doe-like eyes before Jace could open the door and step out.
Larger hands grabbed onto his smaller ones pulling him towards a hard firm chest. Jace tried to bury his wet face.
When Jace suddenly got up, Omar started to panic. Afraid that his fated one would leave, only having just found him, Omar tried to think what might've upset Jace.
Omar realised that Jace had misconceived what he had requested. Thinking back on their conversation moments, Omar could see where he had made a mistake.
How could he be so foolish?
