The normally twenty-minute drive to midtown Manhattan took longer per usual. Of course, Ronnie wanted to go into the city, that's the way she is. I typically try not to go to the town because it's filled with tourists and whatnot.
"You okay, Jamie," Ronnie asked me since she knew I was about to cry in my apartment.
I nodded my head, yes, and she didn't press on for another answer. "Yeah, Ronnie, I'm alright, it just feels super weird to leave Damien and go out like this," I said before checking my phone to see if I got any texts from them. There wasn't any sadly, though.
"So do you know if Carter will be able to take the bakery from us," Ronnie said.
"Honestly, I'm not sure, my lawyer never told me about this. I'm as confused as you are too. Ugh, but Carter is a complete jerk!"I said, groaning.
"True that sister. But for a jerk, he's a total hottie along with his brother," She said, laughing.
"Eww, that's disgusting that man is a complete jerk. I wonder why girls only get with him because of his looks. His only trait is that he has a nice ass. Kendall is a whole different story; I meet him at school today. He just gave me the vibe that he was not leaving anytime soon, and that's what he did," I said out loud.
"So you think he has a nice ass," Ronnie said while mischievously raising her eyebrow.
"That is nasty, Ronnie, and no freaking way. Do not get involved with that family; they're trouble.", I said before the look on her face already meant something.
"I didn't say anything, Jamie, now come one we're here," She said while getting out.
"Thank god, no, I need some alcohol to forget Carter and this terrible day," I said while getting out, and the valet took the car and parked it. Before we left the car Ronnie and I changed out of our jackets and were able to show off our outfits. Ronnie wore this black lace bodysuit with a leather skirt, and I wore some black jeans and this metal shirt thing that's only covering my boobs by a thin strap around my neck and waist. It's tied there, but someone can untie it, and there go my boobs.
"You look hot, Jamie," She said before I responded, " Thank you, you do too."
We walked into the packed club and saw bodies everywhere. Like it was full, with people dancing a drink and was quite chaotic.
"Ronnie, maybe we should go to another place," I said while looking at everyone. This place looks super intimidating. I haven't done these things since I was in high school and was underage and used my crappy fake ID.
"Oh lighten up, Jamie! We just got here," she said as she started to pull me farther in the club, and I could now feel the wave of heat. I know Ronnie wasn't going to stop until I started to have some fun, so I just gave up.
"Ronnie, I'm going to go get a drink," I said, and she smiled at me as a random guy was already sweet-talking her. I'm so proud of her.
I walked over to the bar and sat down at one of the stools. I really needed a break from work and life. "Can I get a Whiskey on the Rocks to please," I said while asking the bartender?
"Long day, "The bartender named Jake, said.
"Yeah, something like that," I said while smiling and checking my phone to see if I got any updates from them, but there wasn't anything.
"That's an interesting drink you have here," Jake said while handing me my drink.
This usually is what I get, but alright, " Why is that," I said, smiling.
"I don't see girls ever get that drink; it's mostly preferred by the men," Jake said
.
"Well, I'm not like everyone else," I said while downing my drink. That was the end of the conversation, and I went towards Ronnie, and she pulled me in, and we started to dance.
"So are you having fun yet," Ronnie yelled over the loud noises, and then I saw Kendall.
"Yeah, I am. Thank you! Kendall, when did you get here," I ask while hugging him.
"I just got here, but Ronnie texted me the details before," He said, and I looked over at Ronnie with a devious smile.
"Okay, you two have fun, I'm going to get another drink," I said while heading over again.
"Well it's nice to see you back here again," Jake said while smiling, he handed me another one of my drinks and smiled.
"Can I also get some shots to please, "I asked before downing all of them? I got up and felt a little dizzy, but I'll be fine. I turned to see Ronnie pulling Kendall god knows where. That Ronnie for you. I reached for my phone and saw the text she sent me.

"I'm about to get some with one of the Lozenreo brothers ?"
"Okay, Ronnie, have fun and be safe."

This girl is the most energetic girl I've met. Like she went to class and worked today, how is she making time for doing too dirty now. Like I would be asleep right now. Since my ride isn't here, I guess I've got to uber or get a cab home. Since I'm here, I might as well take this advantage of the time.
Jake started up again "So let me guess you're a college student, whose boyfriend keeps texting you."
"Hmmm, you got the college part right but not the boyfriends. I have a son and my sibling are watching over him tonight," I said as he handed me another drink.
"Mom, huh. I would have never guessed that. You seem to be very concerned about him", He said, still talking to me.
"Yeah, I don't really like going out like this. It's not really my scene, it's my friends who ditched me, "I said while smiling.
"Oh that sucks if you don't mind me asking where's your husband," He asked and my entire body stiffened at the sight I saw. It was Noah. Why was he here and I couldn't avoid him.
"Umm, I... I don't have one. I'm, I'm...an umm single mom," I said now feeling slightly terrified at Noah's presence.
Jake looked at me weirdly for a second and kept looking towards the direction I kept glancing back at. "Hey are you okay," He said now looking worried.
"It's my ex, he's my son's father but he was abusive so I left. I can't let him, he'll," He stopped me and gave me that look of its alright.
I started to fidget with my drink and tried to calm my nerves by drinking more. I got up to walk over to another place so he would see me at the bar stools. My legs felt like jelly and then his warm breath hit the back of my neck.
"Rosie, it's nice to see you here." He said while grabbing my wrist.
"Yeah... umm what a surprise Noah." I tried to pry his hands off me but forgetting that I've known him since we were kids and was always super strong. There was no way that my a hundred twenty-pound self could get him off me.
"You haven't been responding to my calls or texts. What's up with that. Now, where's my little boy at," He said as he started to pull me through the crowd.
"Noah, please stop. He's at my parent's house. Please let go of me," I said still trying to pull away from him.
"No, no, no Rosie now that he's not here we can talk about the pressing things," He said and the air in my throat stopped. No, no-no. He can't be here. He was supposed to be in jail, why is he out.
"Come on Rosie, don't try to put up a fight now. You and I both know how strong I am," He wasn't wrong though. In high school, he broke this guy's arms and face for insulting me and Chloe. He got suspended for two weeks but was back on all the sports teams because he was the reason our school was so good at sports.
"Noah...please let go of me," I said as the tears started to form in my eyes. I took this opportunity to plan out my way to run towards the stairs which led to the "VIP" area. I used my heel and stepped on his foot and took this opportunity to run.
"You bitch, get back here," Noah yelled out in pain and this got mostly everyone's attention in the club. Everyone stopped what they were doing and I felt scared all over again. I ran towards the top but two bouncers stopped me from entering.
"Please you have to let me in! That man is going to kill me." I said but they didn't budge. The alcohol in my system was now getting to me. I could feel my vision start to blur and my body wanting a place to pass out. I placed my hand against the wall for support but it didn't work.
All the words around me mushed together into a pulsing beat.
"Is she yours," The bouncer asked and Noah replied, " Yeah my girlfriend gets like this when she drinks too much?" I felt my arms now being pulled by Noah to go down.
"Please, don't," I said while feeling hopeless. I tried to look over for Jake but he wasn't there. I'm going to die tonight, aren't I? My eyes felt so heavy at this point. In the corner of my eye, I saw Jake and another man come.
"She said to let go," The man said in a booming voice and my eyes shot open to see.
"And who are you to say anything, this is between my girlfriend and me, now let us go," Noah said, still having his tight grip on my arms.
"This is my club so, I'll be the judge of what I say. I suggest you let go of the young lady." I now could fully see who the man was and none-other than Carter Lozenreo himself.
"Everyone could you please leave in an orderly fashion, I will get you all the money we owe for the drinks," He announced and Carter watched as Noah tried to pull me along with him. I tried to form words but I couldn't, Carter came in front of Noah and pulled his hand off me, I couldn't stand up straight now my body fell back but someone caught me.
"I've got you, don't worry." A familiar voice said and I laid my head back. Carter was much taller and muscular than Noah. Noah was a couple of inches shorter than Carter. Why did he have to own this place? At this point, my shirt was barely hanging on to my body, I didn't care though, I needed to sleep. Soon all the sounds and lightly mashed into darkness.
