"So, how is the Leo guy?" Lorenzo asked as soon as the driver started up the car engine.

Alex looked outside, letting out a soft sigh. "Oh, I guess he is good then."

"And that's the problem. How am I suppose to off someone if they are being nice to me?"

"Well, you just kill them." Lorenzo shrugged his broad shoulders. "Works for me everytime."

Alex rolled her eyes, "That's you, I can't kill someone that is nice to me. I mean, I am not that heartless."

"Alex my girl, you are part of a family of Mafia's, you shouldn't even have a heart."

'Shouldn't even have a heart.' isn't she human, aren't human suppose to be compassionate?

"Alex, you have just spoken to this man once and you are instantly reconsidering what your father has mapped out for years." He turned his head to face her at the back. "Alex, please don't screw this up."

Alex could only nod her head, in as much as she usually confide in Lorenzo and view him as a father figure more than her own father, he was still under her father's payroll.

For all she knows, this car could be bugged and her father could be listening on their conversation. So it's best if she just keep her mouth shut.

She looked out the window, watching as buildings past by in a distant blur. Wishing she could just fade away into one distant blur as well.

Three months past since Alex met Leonardo, and ever since then she hasn't stepped a foot out of her home.

There hasn't been any missions for her, due to her father giving it to someone else. He claims that she needs to look her best, not coveted in injuries and blood of her victims all the time.

So she has been in her room, doing nothing but read books and eat food. With the amount of food she consumes daily, she might add a little bit of weight.

She looked at the time on her phone, it was mid-day. Her phone was dry, has always been dry. While her friends enjoy themselves by posting every day on social media, she couldn't afford such luxury.

Her father claims that social media is a distraction that rot your brain and make you dumber, so she never bothered herself with it.

Aside from not having any form of social media handle or page, she also doesn't have friends. This one was mostly due to her being constantly indoors, and she was also homeschooled for a vast majority of her life.

She decided that maybe she should take a walk and probably branch at a mall and just go sightseeing. She just hope that her dad don't mind.

She decided to look for her father to ask for his permission, so he doesn't loose his shot when he doesn't see her around the house.

She walked into her parent's bedroom and didn't see him, walked into his chambers and he wasn't there either, she even walked inside his study and he wasn't there as well.

She decided to ask the staffs where he was, one of the maids told him that he went for a meeting with her mother and Lorenzo.

Realizing that he wasn't around, she decided to head on out without telling a single soul of where she was going too.

As she headed towards the front door of the gate, one of the bodyguards stopped her. "Ms. Santi, where are you headed too?"

"Oh I am going to the mall."

"Mall? What are you going to the mall to do?"

Can't a girl just head out to the mall and not stay cooped up in this house for all eternity?

"I am going there to buy stuffs," she said, saying a silent prayer that the bodyguard agrees to let her out.

"Ok, which mall is that, in case there is an emergency, we would be able to come get you."

"Oh, the mall isn't too far away, it just Rhodes mall." She pointed her finger to the corner to show him that it wasn't far away.

The bodyguard just nodded his head, and told head on out.

The city was beautiful by this time of the year, the wonderful scenery made Alex look on in wonder at how amazing it was.

As she headed towards the direction of Rhodes Mall, she felt someone following her. One thing about Alex she is always in one with her surroundings, so she can tell when she is being followed.

It was a trick she learnt from Lorenzo, just in case the police or the people she fucked over decided to get a lick back.

She could see one of them from her peripheral vision, from her view it looked like they were pretending to make a phone call.

She speed up her walk and entered into the entrance of the mall.  Her staying in a place that was full with people would make whoever that it was following lose track of her.

Seeing that she has lost them, she let out a much needed breath. She should asked the driver to drop her off at the mall, but she just wanted to walk around.

She walked past some stalls, and some people selling beverages, she decided to buy a smoothie, drinking it and just wandering around the mall.

Then she mistakenly bumped into somebody. She was quick to apologize.

"Can't you watch where you are going?" The man said, his voice a deep low rubble.

"I am so sorry." Alex apologize once more.

"You kinda cute tho, what's your name pretty woman?"

"Alex."

"Alex, that's a boy's name, a pretty girl like you shouldn't have a guy's name." The man was inching closer, trying to breach Alex space.

"Excuse me sir, but I have somewhere to be." She tried walking away, but the man grabbed her arm.

"I'm not done talking to you."

Alex tried letting her arm go, but it seems that the man doesn't have the intention to let it go. She needed to think this through, the man was much more bigger than her, and the grip on her arm was too tight. So the best possible option is to break his arm.

She looked up at him, her eyes set on her goal. When she suddenly saw another person's forcefully remove the man's hand from her arm.

She looked up, her eyes widening in surprise to see that it was Leonardo.
