Leonardo did in fact went to the party the previous night, however he made sure that he didn't drink too much.
Luckily for him when he got home, there was nobody around so he managed to sneak inside the house without being noticed.
His eyes fluttered open as he stared around his room, almost as if trying to remember something. Then it dawned on him that he was to meet with Santi's daughter.
But there was still time, right? He rolled over and switch on his phone, only to see that it was 10 minutes past one. He was quick to throw the comforter from his body with such high speed.
He was practically in nothing but his boxer briefs, as he ran towards his wardrobe and throw on the clothes that he selected yesterday. A brown dress pants, and white long sleeve dress shirt.
He looked in the mirror wondering what he should with his hair, he decided to just let his hair flow behind him.
He wore a pair of black shoes, he didn't put on his piercings, as he needed to appear formal for a day like this.
He adjusted his collar in the mirror and brush through his hair, he then made a beeline for his bedroom door.
Opening it up, only to see Cecilia standing at the entrance. She looked like she wanted to give him an earful, but on seeing that he was ready decided against it.
She grabbed him by the hand, and dragged him downstairs towards the living room. Stopping in front of the door, looking over her shoulder at Leonardo making sure that he was dressed properly, then she open up the door.
Leonardo took in a deep breath then let it out, walking into the room his eyes scanned it and he saw his parents seating on opposite sides of the Santi's.
"Apologies for coming in late, I was in a bit of fickle on what I should wear." He said lying so freely.
He walked up to the Santi's, "You must be Giovanni Santi, my father told me so much about you." He said shaking hands with Giovanni who seemed please to say the least.
"You must be, Theresa Santi. Gorgeous as they come." He said, gently shaking her hands. He watched as the woman cheeks flush red.
"Oh stop it you." She said trying to wave off the compliment that he said to her. Then the last but not least, Alex Santi.
When his father talked about her yesterday, he was expecting to say the least an average looking young woman. But by the heavens was he wrong. This woman was beautiful.
He was basically too stunned by her beauty, he had to snap back to reality. His stretched out his hands, and then she gingerly place them on his.
"And you must be Alexandria?" He lean down and place a kiss at the top of her hand.
This quite literally caused her face to go red. "By the heavens, you are one beautiful woman." As he said, he literally mean it. She looked like she was sculpted by God himself, with him taking his utmost time to make her.
As the meeting wear on, he couldn't help but look at her, which made her squirm underneath his piercing gaze. He enjoyed making her squirm like that.
"Ah, Leonardo my boy, why don't you and Alex take a work around the garden. At least get to know each other a little." Raphael suggested, but Leonardo knew that he wanted to say something that does not require his ears. He can always ask Cecilia about it later.
He held her hand, which felt soft and delicate. She looked like a beautiful flower, rose? No, Lily of the valley. That can be what he could use to describe her.
As they walked down the clearing, soft wind blew past them, and the curls of her hair danced with the wind.
"So Alex. What do you do for fun?" It was a way for him to at least start up a conversation with her, cause the silence between them was dragging on for too long.
"Well, I like to read and play chess." She said, her voice sounded so soothing and calm, suddenly he wanted to listen to her sing lullabies and old tunes that he remembers as a child.
"Really now, what type of books do you like to read?"
"Well I love philosophical books, books that showcase a little bit of wisdom in it."
That was not what he was expecting to hear from her. "So you are into philosophical books. Which author is your favorite?"
"Franz Kafka and Dazai Osamu."
Maybe he was wrong, maybe she wouldn't be so bad to get into an arranged marriage with.
As they converse about philosophers and their various books, Cecilia came and told them that their parents are calling for them to come back inside.
As they both walked into the room, Raphael said that the wedding plans are underway. "If everything goes according to plan, we can say that by November you two would have gotten married."
Leonardo had a smile on his face, "Wouldn't want it any other way sir."
As the day went on, suddenly it was evening time and the both of them were about to head on to their separate directions, when Leonardo grabbed Alex by her hand.
"I guess I would see you soon, Alexandria." He said, his tone of voice flirty.
"And I would see you soon as well, Leonardo," her tone of voice was low almost husky when she said this. It was almost as if he felt static shock erupt through his skin.
Then she turn around and walked towards the direction of her, her hips swaying with each step she took.
He watched as the cars drove from the driveway, the night enveloping them in the blanket of it's darkness.
As soon as the cars left through the gates and out onto the streets, Leonardo felt a smile creep up on his face.
His dad really made the right decision here.
