The couple walked into the office as Bianca and Quinton left to attend to their own personal marital issues. Menique was still fuming but she followed him into the office as she had to say her goodbyes, because she was was a respectful daughter inlaw and fetch her belongings from the office. She did not care why her inlaws were here,they have never been close like that except for Ethan's brothers.

''Mom? Dad? What are you two doing here?''

She was surprised by her parents presence in the office with her inlaws.

'' We came to see our very secretive daughter. Who keeps secrets from her own mother. I understand how you can not tell your father but I am your mother! You should have told me what was happening in your marriage and then you had to lie for this idiot. I re-''

''Juliet can you just let our daughter-''

Her father tried to cut off her rambling mother.

''Andre you-''

Menique sighed as her parents went back and forth about her.

''STOP IT! Mom it's my life,telling you about my marriage problems wouldn't have solved anything.''

Not telling us didn't solve them either her mother mumbled. Ethan tried to remedy the situation but instead got death stares from both women. So he turned to his father and brother.

''Dad,Aalam what are you two doing here?''

Aalam shrug his shoulders,he too was dragged from his office to come here.

''We are here because of you stupid! How many times have I warned you about these women? Then to hear that you kicked your wife out,I cannot believe you have been so dumb. Your mother would be so dissapointed in you. If I was Mimi, I would have let you rot in that jail."

Ethan had his head bowed, ashamed, as his father scolded him.

''Dad I know I -''

He spoke with his head still bowed.

''You do not know shit son! Aalam!''

His younger brother jumped,together with the rest of the people in the room as his father's voice boomed around the room.

''Ethan due to lack of evidence and an airtight alibi all of the charges have been dropped but that doesn't stop your stalker officer Bruyn from opening another case against you in the future so you have to be extra careful.''

Aalam read out the report his father had made him get from the station.

''Or I will just have to take over myself.''

They all continued to discuss busines after Menique explained how she managed to hide evidence from the police and wipe out the footage from that night and how she knew what he had done. Ethan was shocked to find out all she had done for her even after the way he had treated her. His brother,father and inlaws left leaving the couple alone.

'' I cannot believe Theo did that for me?''

''He knew how much it meant to me."

Ethan sat next to her on the love seat,she had her head turned avoiding eye contact as he placed his fingers on her chin making him face her. He asked her what was wrong since she had an uncomfortable look on her face.

''I think the girls are ready to meet us.''
