CHAPTER 06 | Thief |
I woke up early this Saturday, even without work I still woke up early. I stretched my body and leaned to get my phone on my bedside table.
I opened my Facebook App and scroll on my feed. I even saw a patama post by, Lian that I immediately laughed at.
Lish Anya Gui:
"It's just like that!"
Who is its enemy? His ex doesn't show up anymore? Also, Mae also commented so I did the same.
Mara Elaisle Avilla:
So that's it!
Rona Serene Norriente:
Are you two getting along? @Mara Elaisle @Lish Anya
I continue scrolling on my feed, I suddenly sighed when my friend suggestions passed. My jaw drop when I saw his new profile picture.
Prineson Monte Amis.
I opened his profile, I smirked to myself when I realize how my stalking mode turns on. The last time I stalked him, he helped me in the bathroom and this is not his profile picture yet.
Now he is wearing a gray suit while holding champagne on his right hand, the camera is also at his right angle.
"It's so handsome, it's just really ugly!" I remembered again the embarrassment I had in the cafeteria.
"Did he really throw my hanky? It's a pity, that handkerchief is expensive too! That was the channel for Pete's Sake!" Actually I don't mind if he doesn't return my handkerchief, he's right to have lots of it and I can afford buying hundreds of it. The case is he probably just threw it away, depressing.
Why are you depressed Rose? It's just a hanky!
You're sad because he didn't give value to what you gave.
"Oh geez!" I shook my head because there was already a war inside my brain. When I saw the add friend icon, I didn’t know but I was stunned.
Should I add him as a friend? We will meet so go ahead, I added him as a friend. I just hope this man knows how to confirm.
After scrolling on my feed, I got up and washed. I did my usual morning rituals before deciding to go down to the kitchen so that I wouldn't have to bring Tine's food to the bedroom.
I was even surprised to hear the voice of, mommy. It's like it's only once in a blue moon because I heard his voice so early.
"I fed you in this house then that's what you're going to do to me! You're a thief!" My forehead furrowed when I heard mommy's angry voice.
I hurried to the kitchen, my eyes just widened when I saw Tine kneeling and crying in front of mommy. I hurriedly ran, knelt down and attended to, Tine. I don't care anymore if I lost my proper ettiquetes in front of my mom.
"What are you doing Serene!" I almost jumped at his shout, as if he had turned his anger on me. When he saw my shock he calmed himself, my Mom don't shout at me, he just looked really surprised when I suddenly appeared. "What are you doing Serene." He said it was calmer.
"Mom, What happened?" I tried to stand up the crying Tine but I couldn’t pull her so I tied her next to her kneeling.
Mommy and dinning table looked at it as if the answer was there. My jaw dropped when I saw the necklace I gave to Tine. I immediately guessed what was happening.
"That poor made stole your necklace Serene! I didn't raise a thief on this house." There was a pain in my chest at what he said, mommy.
"Mom, Tine didn't stole it." I said. She picked up the necklace and show it in front of my face.
"Then how can you explain this? This is the evidence Serene darling!" She said with arrogant, I looked at poor, Tine. I just closed my eyes firmly, I felt guilty this is my fault.
"Mom, I gave it to Tine she didn't stole and she can't do that." Mommy's lips parted. The other housemates were quietly watching us, the pain the awe for Tine was reflected on their eyes.
Mommy sighed and shrugged. "Whatever, I just wasted time. Grecel take my bag we're leaving." I stood up and kissed mommy.
"Next time darling you cut down on being kind, you might be abused go ahead." Mommy's tingit hovered over Tine again before walking away.
I looked at, Tine. I took the bill and knelt down in front of him again. If I have a hanky I will give her one, in case I don't have one. My mother is so cruel to her, I feel sorry for her.
"I'm sorry Tine, my mommy didn't know." She just cried and shook, her eyes already swollen.
I held her hand and pressed it warmly, then I gave her the bill again.
"Get up, mommy is gone." He slowly stood up, I smiled sparingly as he let me help him to his feet.
"I'm really really sorry," I said sincerely.
"Don't be sorry ma'am, the important thing is I wasn't fired."
"I won't let that, especially since you haven't done anything wrong." I was stunned for a moment by what he said.
Tine, she is a scholar at Love Academy, my family also admitted her there, I heard that her mother is sick so she is the first to work for them now.
How does it feel so hard to get something? Because I can get whatever I want right away.
I spent my Sunday boringly like usual, I'm just really happy t'wing school days.
I was stunned in front of the mirror when I saw the bill with the plastic ring pendant. I sniffed and thought of adding that to the key chains hanging from my bag.
The plastic ring seems weird, but it seems clever. Of all the key chains hanging in my bag, only the plastic ring is the most unique and .... cheap.
I held the two straps of my bag as I went up to the third floor where our room was. I was just stunned in my stride when I saw who was coming down I could meet.
It's Prine again! When I see him, I can't help but compliment him on how handsome he is. I was surprised when he also stopped, my heart dropped when his gaze suddenly met mine. I don’t know why I was suddenly nervous.
We just stood in the middle of the stairs, staring. We were four steps away from each other but if he stared you would think he was going to eat me.
I don't know but I suddenly wish the earth would open up and just eat me. I still couldn’t move on from my embarrassment with him in the cafeteria.
I saw his gaze slowly shift from my face to my side. When I followed his line of visions, I saw him staring at my keychains!
I saw her smirk, then her look back at me.
"Oh yes, Serene oh!" I looked behind me when I saw Tine's friends. Si Arche.
"Impact really ..." I shook my head and started to step up, I never looked at him again, Prine.
Why did I stop anyway?
