Chapter 6

Arohi's pov

What was wrong with him? That stupid Arjun .

I had planned to ignore him, knowing he would come and say sorry soon, I knew it happened every time earlier when he used to go somewhere all of a sudden, but I guess all these years has changed him that stupid moron how could he just snatch my hand and pull me from the conversation which I and Vivek were having?

I was just saying fucking thanks!

"Ehhhh these guys have the worst nature and mood swings then that of a girl with periods." I whispered yelled when I reached the stage beside my best friend Abha.

Since she was going to get engaged we all had planned a girl out, the whole day we had fun and then by 3 pm we went to my home where bhai had booked the beautician, massager etc etc. for us, and mind you they did wonders we all girls are looking gorgeous .

Well when we came here and the look on the boys face said it all. It took us so much willpower to decline those handsome men and to just ignore them, at first I thought Abha would give in but thank God bhai saved us, well my brother is completely innocent it's just that somehow he came up at the right place at the right time .... SOMEHOW.

"What happened now? Why are you fuming?" Reha asked me.

"Arjun Singh. ``As soon as I said this she started laughing, looking at her even though I couldn't control myself, these two words and a person's foul mood speaks great volume .

"Soo she is still ignoring him?" I asked them referring to Abha, she was not even looking at him. I really felt bad it was their best day. I shouldn't make them suffer. I should excuse him at least .

They all nodded and at that moment a great plan came into my mind, I went to Abha and said "Talk with him I excuse him and I have something else stored in for them to act all sweet and good with him and the others." I winked at her to which she gave a bright smile to me and then I turned to the other girls. They all agreed and soon the plan started.

As soon as the boys came we ignored them but then they apologized and we being the nice people forgave them but obviously they were the reason why we couldn't sleep the whole night and could we make them sleep today? Well that was something the devil in us knew.

Once the rings were exchanged, the D.J was started and we all soon started dancing, it was so much fun to dance with them , the boys even after so many years couldn't dance properly on a pop song their moves made us laugh like there is no end.

When our favorite Punjabi song came we all made a huge circle and started doing bhangra, the other dancers had started to go aside, and were now watching us all dancing, we friends, my brothers, Arjun's brothers and sister, vihan's brothers some of our other friends came into that circle as well .

One by one we all came inside the circle and did our special steps. It was fun Kabeer’'s dance was the most hilarious. He danced on the song 'havan karenge ' from 'bhag milkha bhag ' and imitated the signature step very well. Just to have some more fun when it was Arjun's chance the boys played the song 'prem ratan dhan payo ' from the movie 'prem rattan payo ' we had insisted him to do the signature step it was quite difficult for him to move his waist and do thumka, just so that he could do it properly all the boys started giving him classes, making us all laugh .

It would have not stopped if our parents wouldn’t have gone to the DJ and unplugged his music system saying, "half of them have become parents, and some would become soon but look at them behaving like kids, wake up our little kids, your kids and the other guests are starving." as soon as our elder brothers and their wifes heard this they scramble away in search of their kids not before scolding kartik and Vihan who said,

"It’s their kids they should go and the others are old enough to eat on their own. We haven't held them or tied them up so that they can’t go and eat their food." They thought our parents couldn't hear them but they did and gave them a look saying 'you will have to pay for that.'

We all girls looked at each other and smiled how can we smart girls let this thing go.

"Mom and dad are going to kill us, God why didn't you girls let us know that they were standing behind us!" kartik and the rest of the boys whine.

We were seated on the terrace of the Grewal mansion sipping our coffee; the boys were tensed as hell while we were enjoying their expense.

Though the function had gone well, there had to be something without which any of our celebrations wouldn’t be completed.

I blame this ritual of ours for the misery in which we were in, and the next blame would all go to the uncle whom none of us fancied since our childhood.

He and his son had always been irritating us; his son was the best son according to our parents and would always give his example. And call it a habit with him in the presence our elders again did the same thing , even though they knew that they were at a great height on their own but somehow they did, but what agitated Vihan and others was that he started flirting with us, and to irritate them even we started to flirt back .

That's it, they were so angry that they mixed a whole lot of spice and purging croton in his food, which made him scream and suffer firstly due to the spice and then had to again and again go to the washroom ... You know right what for.

And when they were celebrating their victory our parents heard that and were obviously supper upset.

"Vihan, Kabeer , Arjun, Raghav , Devansh , get down over here right now." It was Vihan's Dad, and I must tell you Vihan's dad is one of the strictest people in this whole world.

We all quickly got down and stood in a semicircle then Arjun then Vihan then Abha, Raghav then the others. And our parents right in front of us.

"It seems as if we are back to our teenage days." Raghav said as we all tried to suppress our laughter, and mind you the key word ‘tried’ because the thoughts of those days came to mind and we all burst into laughter.

Only making our parents angrier; Arjun's dad's voice boomed into the whole mansion as he walked closer to us and said, "shut up what are you kids 5?"

"I don't know what’s wrong with you people, first that dance thing as if you have never danced earlier, and then this spices and that stupid thing , what the hell was that all ." he continued.

I knew if we didn't butted in then the boys will be doomed, "uncle actually what they did with that guy was right he was flirting with us, we tried to get off from him and ignore him but was really not getting the idea and we know that what they did was not the way to make him understand our point but it was quite important ...I am sorry " I simultaneously nudged Arjun who then nudged the others and we all said sorry.

But then I knew they were supposed to get punished for what they did with us so I continued, "and uncle if you want to punish them, then I think it would be quite fair if they would gather up all the mess of today’s , I mean all the things which needed to be cleaned and done."

"WHAT ?" The boys said in unison, while I glared at them and then smirked at Arjun, he got the message and said into my ears "you very well know that we are tired, is this because of what happened yesterday?" I just shrugged my shoulders slightly and tried to control my smile.

"hmm you are right Arohi , boys the rest of the work will be sorted out by you and till the time the garden is not cleaned no one is going to sleep and I refer to the boys only, and everyone, tomorrow get ready early we have to go to the temple early in the morning , am I clear..." when no one said anything he repeated again "am I clear???" to which everyone nodded their head and we all girls ran to our rooms before the elders would retire for the day .

Once we were on the first floor I could see the boys glaring at us, as we were laughing our ass out , it was such a great scene , last night we were in their shoes and now it's a completely different story .

"God we are such bitches " Misha said when we saw the boys stifling their yawns and getting irritated while some were arranging the chairs while some were cleaning the garden .
