Chapter 3 - The Encounter

I might need to think about asking for that favor from the principal. I didn’t expect my colleagues to be this kind. It turns out I’m not the only one who has a free period (But I am the only one who has three of those). During this pause, we are sitting in the staffroom, talking and drinking coffee. When I was a kid, I had no idea that teachers were this chill. Scratch that, I had no idea that teachers were human. I thought that they were robots that charged overnight in the staffroom. Thus, it was shocking whenever I heard a teacher speak about their personal life.

It was not a chock when my free time passed by in a blink of an eye. It was time for my last violin lesson for today, before orchestra. I felt chilly when I entered the hallway. The staffroom had an AC and was a few degrees warmer due to that fact. And the fact there was draft everywhere out here. It might be summer, but still.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by someone crashing into me and the sound of liquid spilling all over the place. The first thing I noticed was a huge brown stain on the person’s no longer white shirt. Because of its thin material, a black lacy bra could be seen. I looked up, not to seem like a pervert, and I had a sight to see. Amber eyes were wide and shiny, looking at me like a deer in the headlights. It was the girl from last night. She looked a lot more gathered now, and her hair didn’t resemble a bird’s nest. Instead, it was tied up in a messy bun, highlighting her oval shaped face. Realizing I was staring like a fool, I backed off a step.

“I am sorry. Your shirt is ruined.”

She shook her head and began gathering the papers scattered around us.

“No, I am sorry. I didn’t look where I was going.”

I couldn’t stop looking at her. Like a Goddess descended among us, mortals. I doubt I have seen a prettier girl in my life. And, aside the fact that she had this raw beauty, something was drawing me to her. She seemed around my age, so naturally, when she stood up, I introduced myself to her.

“This might have started on the wrong foot. I’m Bella Steele, and I’m new here. Pleased to meet you.”

The unnamed girl simply nodded her head, and like that, she was gone.

Rude.
