Chapter 7

Damn that calix!

"Here she goes, philip. There she is."

"Stop making up with me, giovanni. I'll throw it at you." i hold the glass with cold water. But he looked at me seriously.

"He just came in, he's on his way here. It's almost there." I don't believe because winter won't approach me if I don't approach him.

He's just fooling me.

"These foods are yours alone." giovanni laughed at what I said. I also stood up but was also stunned to see the woman behind my seat.

"Shit!" i cursed because my heart is beating so fast. I feel like I'm going to faint just because he's here. "Why don't you call me first, I'm not ready." winter just sighed before looking at the food on the table.

And when I looked back, Giovanni and Miguel had finished the food that was meant for him.

"You are really starving!"

They stopped eating. But they didn't care and just continued.

I sighed before looking back at winter. "What are you doing here?"

"I'll just give it back to you." she handed me the atm card i gave to her. I didn't take it, I just looked at what he was holding before sitting down again.

"That's your winter. Don't give that back to me."

"I don't need it, dude." he put it on my table. I just looked at that atm card before looking at him.

"Why dont you just accept that. Its just for you, I can't use that because it's yours"

"Throw it away if you can't use it."

He has turned his back on me. He turned to the side of the queue and it passed behind him. I stood up to follow him, He was already in the hallway as he tried to speed up his pace.

"Winter!" I called her but she doesn't even look at me. He walked straight so I sped up to catch his hand.

"What?" she pulled her hand but i held it tightly. He looked at me with pity as I stared at it.

"I'm going to tell Trixie the truth. I'm not going to take this any longer." he laughed before looking away.

"You can't do that, son. Just don't think about yourself."

"I can't do it anymore, I don't want to hide it anymore. It will only hurt him more if I keep it up."

"You shouldn't have dated him!"

He closed his eyes. I'm obviously annoyed but I'm determined.

"I'm telling you this so you can be aware. Trexie needs to know what is true, I'll tell her the truth."

"Whats the truth?" we both freeze when we hear trixie's voice. We looked to the side and he was standing there looking down at my hand holding winter's hand.

Winter Pov.

Ashong slowly released my hand. His eyes were on Trixie who now looked at us in surprise.

I swallowed I felt nervous because ashong said that he wanted to tell trixie about his feelings for me.

It's not kidding. Obviously he was going to do that right now in front of me.

But I didn't let Ashong speak anymore. I got trixie's attention by tasting.

"Ashong wants to tell you something. But he is shy." Trixie frowned at what I said "Embarrassed?"

I have ashong's eyes because of my lying. I know he was disappointed. But I won't let it hurt my cousin, I also don't want trixie to hate me if ashong happens to say that.

"Your first month as a girlfriend is coming up. He has a surprise for you and he's getting ideas from me about what else you want."

Trixie's face became calm when I announced. It glanced at Ashong who now just looked away.

"I don't need anything in our coming monthsarry. I'm fine with a simple dinner "By the way, you can talk about it now. I need to be early because I have another class."

Ashong looked at me when I said goodbye. I knew he wanted to say something more but he couldn't speak anymore next to Trixie.

I turned away from them after smiling. I walked towards our room to think.

How can I tell ashong that he needs to stop making me feel bad?

I don't want this anymore. I don't want it to mess with my mind because we each have our own boyfriends.

I don't want to hurt Calix. Even though I'm not sure about my feelings for him, I will try to love him.

Deborah entered the room carrying her handbag. He placed it on his desk before looking back at me.

"How was your conversation with Philip?" I looked up at him. He remained standing and did not plan to sit down.

"What do you mean?"

"I heard everything. Did I say that Philip likes you?"

I froze while staring at him. He heard our conversation?

"I have a video, winter. I just want to watch it over and over because you two are so funny."

"What exactly is your problem?" I'm thinking about it. I don't want to hit him but I don't want him to do this to me anymore "I didn't really have a problem with you before. But since you stole calix from me, I now have a lot of problems with you."

"I didn't steal calix from you." he laughed before looking away.

"Pay attention. You like to steal, like Philip. You will steal her from your cousin again."

"I won't steal anything because that's none of my business. I don't even need to explain to you why calix wants me and not you!" he was stunned by what I said. He gave me a sharp look before grinning "Are you sure your boyfriend is loyal to you?" his grin never disappears while staring at me. "Watch him carefully, maybe one day he'll be somewhere else and he'll be happy there. I don't know what he is referring to. He sat down next to me before he took the bag to put it on his back.

"By the way. Your secret is safe, I'm not that bad to say what I heard."

"You need to erase that, deborah."

"Why? I like this scene, I see myself in philip. He is dead to the person he likes." I stared hard at Deborah because of what she said.

I slightly turned around because someone might hear what he said.

"But they weren't totally the same. I like you as much as the man I've kissed, that's not all." he came to me to whisper. "I'm still happy."

I can't confirm what deborah is implying. But my mind is that I suspect calix He likes calix. Or maybe, he wants to kiss someone else.

I looked away. I suddenly thought, But I know calix can't do that. I know him, he will not commit a sin.

The professor came that I didn't say anything to Deborah. I don't want to talk to her, I don't want to have confirmation from this woman. But I'm afraid because of the video of what he said. Is it true that he has the video that he got earlier? How about he show that to trixie. I felt dizzy. The whole class my mind was wandering about that scene. I was so confused that the lesson given to us hardly entered my brain.

Until the dismissal was announced, that was still on my mind. I didn't let Deborah and I go out at the same time, I went first while my three female classmates were talking to her.

I headed down to go straight out. But I also stopped when I saw that Trixie was there. He was leaning against the wall at the end of the stairs. He was not with anyone and he was looking at the students passing by alone.

I took a few steps down before it turned to me. He fixed us with a smile that didn't even reach his eyes.

"What are you doing here?" she smiled briefly. I knew he wanted to say something but I had no idea what.

"I would like you to join me for coffee." I frowned as I looked at him. It forces a smile at me before I nod even hesitantly "Alright. Where?"

It told me where we were going. We headed to a nearby coffee shop just here on the way to Fatima.

A man opened the door for us. He was tall and narrow-eyed, he smiled at Trixie before me.

"Goodafternoon ladies, welcome on our coffee shop" Trixie smiled at her.

"Nice to see you again, noah. Where do you study?"

"I study on America."

"America? Then why are you here?"

"I will also return to America before school." Trixie nodded. The one named noah made us sit on the sidelines before his name was called.

"Apollo!" there was a man sitting at the counter. Apollo is Calix's friend. "Someone is looking for you." it pointed at trixie. I noticed the blush on the cheeks of the person next to me before he whispered to Noah.

"What are you doing Noah?"

Noah looked at him but he just smiled. A woman also came out after Apollo.

"We have a customer." the tall woman approached us. He has a name plate on the side. I already know her, she is Natasha. This is what assisted us here when we bought flowers.

"What's your order?" it smiled at us. Trixie said her order as Noah approached Natasha.

Noah's hand slid down to place his palm on Natasha's stomach.

"Let me." Noah said.

Natasha looked at him with raised eyebrows. "You're just being cute here, you're there."

"I'm just going to be cute with you. Don't be jealous." they're arguing that topic. In the end, they were the two who left with the paper written by Natasha.

Apollo was there on the other side of the counter. It was leaning while looking at Trixie.

"What is Apollo's problem with you?" I asked Trixie in a whisper. He looked away before swallowing.

"I busted him "What?"

It glanced at me again. "He dated me before, last year."

I frowned at what he said. "Apollo flirted with you?" I didn't know that Calix's friend flirted with her. I'm not always curious because I'm not used to it.

"Yes. It will be two years this month."

"But you answered ashong?" it was swallowed again by my question. He bit his lip before looking down.

"I answered philip because m-mommy likes him." My lips parted slightly at Trixie's words. "I'm ashamed of Apollo." he simply turned to Apollo who was now still standing and looking at him.

My cousin looked away again. It is obvious that he is shy and restless.

"I didn't like philip. I mean, I like him but I would have liked apollo more."

I leaned on Trixie's inusal. I couldn't believe what I heard. He really doesn't like ashong? Apparently, he was only forced because of Aunt Raquel?

"I don't want to dissapoint my mom. You know she doesn't like the police. She and dad were still fighting back then, so daddy just retired."

I held my breath. "But Apollo is a nice guy "Yes, I want to like him. But mommy said I should use my brain. The falcons won't let me down."

I laughed. I can't help but look down on aunt Raquel just because of the money.

"That's why I want to study abroad next school year. I want to change the way Philip feels about me forever." he looked down. "I know that philip likes someone else. I notice that even if he doesn't say it his treatment of me has changed."

I looked away because he looked at me again. "Do you have any idea who that girl is?"

It took me a long time to answer. Our order arrived and Apollo landed on the table. We didn't continue that conversation because Apollo suddenly pulled out a chair and quickly sat in our place "Obviously what you're talking about is serious." it was looking at trixie. Trixie couldn't stand his gaze so she just avoided it.

"Just about trixie going abroad." apollo looked at me. His forehead was wrinkled because of what I said.

"Abroad?"

"That's where trixie will end up." apollo didn't move at my answer. Apollo is tall and handsome, he and ashong are the same height. But ashong is white and this apollo is dark.

"I thought you wanted to graduate here, why did you change your mind?" he turned to trixie while asking that.

"My plan is already changing."

"I know you have a reason, I think your reason is so big that you still have to go abroad? "I don't need to tell what my reason is. Why are you still asking?"

"Because you wanted to finish your study here. You told me that because you have many memories here, you already told me about your feelings to me, then I will know that Philip is your boyfriend?" Trixie couldn't answer what Apollo said. The young man laughed before looking away.

"Just hope."

Apollo stood up after saying that. I followed him out of the shop.

I feel the pain in that line of Apollo. Trixie made him hope. He has been flirting with my cousin for two years but now he will hear that he has a boyfriend.

I looked at Trixie. He bit his lower lip as he took a deep breath. His eyes turned red before looking up.

"You need to apologize to Apollo, Trixie. He was hurt, talk to him before you leave." He forced a smile. "There's no need, I might not be able to leave if we talk."

"You're leaving without getting along?"

"Apollo is also angry with me. He will also forget what happened."

He took the coffee in front of him. He took a sip before looking outside.

I held my breath.

"What are you going to say?"

He looked at me. He downed his coffee before forcing a smile.

"I just want to ask you a favor." I pressed my lips while waiting for what he would say next. "Can you take care Philip when I'm gone?"

"Huh? "I'm leaving in March. I won't break up with Philip because I want him to be the first to get bored."
