Chapter 5

Winter Pov

I didn't ask for my life to be luxurious like others. It is enough for me that I have a happy family and loving parents. I am satisfied with the life I have.

I can study in a good university that most people want to go to. I eat enough for a day, someone takes care of me and looks after me.

I just want a simple life. Just like I grew up in the province that my mother has made me aware of.

But as simple and peaceful as my life is, the trend of my love is the opposite.

It was normal for me to have an admirer, a crush as young people call it. I didn't aspire to have a handsome boyfriend either. All I want is someone as loving as Erpats.

But the past few days have been very chaotic. I can say everything if Calix makes me feel his feelings. But for me that has no impact on my heart. I'm annoyed, I want to revenge myself because why should I bother?

I sighed as I walked downstairs to the cafeteria. I went in early because I didn't want to be late for the first class. It was only half past six when I was here with Calix.

I nodded. "Aunt Raquel, Trixie's mommy, invited him.."

"Ow. Really? I thought you were the reason why he was there.." I frowned at what Deborah said. "Because you and Philip are closer than your cousin's girlfriend.."

I looked at Calix as she said Deborah's name hard. He frowned at the woman who raised her eyebrows.

I just stared at Deborah. I didn't plan to answer this because he seemed to know something I couldn't.

"Winter and Philip are already friends now. Philip asked for forgiveness for what he did to my girlfriend.." calix said with emphasis on the last word. Deborah didn't say a word anymore, instead she just stared back at Calix.

calix faced me and ignored deborah's presence. I don't even know how to act because I feel that Deborah is looking at my boyfriend.
