FLASH BACK TO LAST NIGHT
Akshita quickly picked up her phone which had pinged a few minutes ago. It had three new messages, one was from her cousin Tushar asking about her whereabouts and the rest from her friend adi whom she wished had never met.
She quickly sends a small message of well being to her cousin and looked at Adi’s message.
Adi: hey fisherwomen I hope you remember that tomorrow we have school don’t be late as you used to be when we were in 1 standard.
The other message was just a wink.
She was quite irritated with him addressing her as fisher women. It was on the annual day, when they were in 1 standard that she had become a fisherwoman for the fancy dress competition and from then on it became her pet name only and only for Adi.
She quickly replied to him
Mr. Aditya Rajhans don’t forget that I have shifted my place and I am the very person who comes first in the class every day. And yes for sure I do remember that we have a school tomorrow how can I forget that.
Putting a wink emoticon she pressed the send button .it was as if he was online tonight to make her life hell, as she immediately got a reply.
Adi: fisherwoman, don’t be so proud of you. I challenge you tomorrow I will be there before you. And you sweet – sweet girl if I do that you will treat me with two samosas every day for the next week and mind you the school samosas only .
She wasn’t that surprised with the reply. Adi was a foodie but the heights of his foolishness, how was she supposed to get him two samosas from their school canteen which already had a very few amount of supply for the samosas.
Yet not showing off her vulnerability she replied. ‘Alright deal but if i win you will have to give me the same. And good night’
Adi : good night see you in the morning and don’t dream something nasty it’s not good for you fisherwomen .
He replied with a smiling emoticon.
Being as tired as she was, ignoring his nasty comments was the best thing to do for her right now. She switched off her cell phone and went off to sleep to welcome the brightness of the next day.
PRESENT
Taking a deep breath Akshita repeated again and again in her mind ' it’s alright Akshi it’s not that bastard just chill ' and pretending to be brave but a bit panic-stricken she entered the corridor and went ahead and put her head from the front door and tried to peep in, trying to take in the view of the class.Various charts were hanging on the walls that were made by last year students.
She moved a bit ahead so that she could see more clearly but frowned as she saw Adi educate someone about something.
she lumbered inside the class but soon came to a standstill as her eyes soon fell on the most darkest shade of black eyes.
It arrested her in such a way that for a minute she had lost the competence of thinking, listening or you could say all the senses within her had gone numb, only the heart was what drummed at its fastest pace.
What it was only the almighty knew? but one thing she knew was that it was quite telling!
Those eyes were so enamor. For a second she had forgotten where she was and what the situation was. It wasn’t a normal feeling it was as if her eyes were having a deep conversation with that of those stranger’s. May be something like telepathy?
But even though they had her attention captive she couldn’t comprehend what it was… pain? But then they should have been sad. Were they Happy? But then they should have that glimmer in them. Confused? But again they should ask her a question.
Rather they didn’t they just kept her in their custody as if reading her inside out just in a minute.
“ohh! you came ?” Adi literally screamed in Akshi’s ears. What’s with people screaming into my ears…god I don’t have a fantasy of getting deaf people. She thought and smiled at Adi.
“yeah I did Adi, and please for now don’t you dare talk about the bet I know that I have lost it and you will get your samosa’s at lunch.”, she replied politely- why she didn’t know, but fighting with him early in the morning was not in her to do list for now.
She began looking around to find a perfect seat for herself. It was quite confusing; every year this was done by her bestfriend’s but as she had come early today it was as if the mores had broken and she would have to do the ennoble.
“Akshi we should sit at this side near the door it would be really nice and according to the weather we won’t feel much sultry." Some way it was considerable but sitting in that place for the whole year was really horrible. But she considered it and went to the right side of the class and sat on the third bench as adi's bag was kept on the fourth bench that was the second last bench of the row.
“Okay now come here ...” adi took hold of her hand, and dragged her towards the guy, who was - now that she saw clearly sitting in the middle row on the 3rd bench. “Okay so guys lets introduce you two …”
Walking off to the bench ahead of the one on which that black mysterious eyed guy was sitting, she stood facing him, that’s when she noticed his features which were quite impressive, he had a firm jaw; his lips were pink, they looked so soft as like petals. There was this small mole at the left side of his lips which made him look so good. his body structure though, he was sitting showed his athletic body very well , making Akshi wonder what game did he really played . his hair were silky black, making him look way too young and mature due to their styling which were combed back and were for sure set with jell. Well how did she know, all she could say is perks of having so many boys who are your brothers around you.
“Soo Akshi this is Abhishek, and Abhishek this is my friend Akshita.” Adi introduced them insolently. He always was proud to have her and all his friends that he had.
“hii nice to meet you, I am Akshita Singhaniya.” Akshi said forwarding her hand for a handshake, which he took into his big hand with long fingers which any girl like her would envy for.
You see though Akshita had a satisfying height but still she just had long legs whereas her fingers were of average length. Which she loathed, she loved these long slim fingers it would give a sexy look according to her. But unfortunately she lacked it and her sister had it.
“hii, Abhishek – Abhishek Rajput nice to meet you.” He said with his god knows what kind of voice but whatever it was; it was way too good to impress anyone.
Akshita smiled at him, not knowing what to say. It had always been a problem for her to start a conversation. She would always depend on the other person to say something… but it seemed as if Abhishek was same.
With nothing to do and say, she stood there as the two continued to converse about some random topics, after a while her gaze wandered towards his desk that’s when she realized that he was writing the timetable, she was shocked would be an understatement, because you hardly find a GUY, on his first day sitting and writing down the WEEKLY TIME TABLE of his new school, instead of impressing girls and making new friends.
“vohh you are really writing the time table, that’s a first for me.” Before she could even stop herself the words came out of her unfiltered mouth
‘way to go Akshuuu’ she thought.
“umm yeah, I thought it would be the best thing to do early in the morning.” He said in a confused tone, unable to say anything she just nodded her head at him and walked out of the class but it seemed to be the most worst Idea of her life as the very next moment she came face to face with ARSHIA.
You see every school has, a nerd , a queen bee, an average and beautiful girl , and one kind which you can never name ; but they are the ones whom you would find throwing themselves at every guy irrespective of their looks.
Well Arshia,is the girl who belonged to the last category; and was from the other section, whom the whole school was tolerating since past 4 years.
“ohhh hiii Akshi , how are you ? I just saw your sis, I must say she has a great height.” She said in her every so sweet voice which would get a person diabetic with the snap of their fingers.
“hiii, and thank you; I am fine ...” ,giving her a small smile she said, “yeah Trisha goes after my grand pa, hence that great height.” Akshi for what all time stood there only hope for it to end up soon.
“so where were you going? “ Arshiya asked trying to look inside the class for anyone, while the later tried her best to block her view as Akshi really didn’t want to face a grumpy Adi for the rest of the day. But it was as if adi was digging his own grave, as soon he started to laugh in his monstrous voice .
“Oh, Aditya is here? Come lets go talk to him, it’s been quite a long time I haven’t talked to him.” she said, and before Akshi could even protest she was dragged inside the class.
“hiii Aditya, and who do we have here?” Arshiya mused, and for sure Akshita would have loved to have her well defined camera with her at that moment to capture the scene which was unfolding in front of her.
Arshiya practically ran to Adi, which she thought how did she managed to with her heavy bag still on her shoulder , and hugged him tightly , but that was not what mattered or was funny to crack up the way she did, what was hilarious was- Adi’s expression which was helpless. For sure she could say that he would have preferred to stay at home rather than being here at the moment.
“hi Arshiya.” He said trying to break the hug, well mind you the key word is trying .
Akshi shook her head in amusement and sat on the bench facing the three of them. As her eyes wandered off to Abhishek who was looking at her with confused eyes, she blinked her eyes assuring him as well as pitying him as what was about to come his way.
“hey I am Arshiya , and you are?? “ Arshiya said. From the corner of her eyes Akshi saw adi walking towards her, but what shocked her was – he got behind her practically hiding him under the shadow of hers.
“hi, I am Abhishekh nice to meet you.” Abhishekh replied with a small smile.
“he will regret it .” Adi whispered to Akshi . They both somehow knew what was about to come
She just nodded her head and kept on looking and listening, how Arshiya complemented Abhishek, about his looks, how he would look good in black and inquire about the various places he had went to .
It seemed like they were playing 20 questions, just a difference that Arshiya was asking the question and Abhishek was answering them.
“ohh you are from Rajasthan, even Akshi is from rajasthan . I just hope that it wouldn’t be as that like your parents turn out to be long lost friends.” She said and laughed at her own joke where as Akshi smiled at Abhishekh and Adi made this weird laughing sound from behind.
“Akshi please do something, she is getting on my nerves, and I guess that would be all for Abhi as well.” Akshi gave him a confused look and asked” Abhi, so you guys are on nick name basis as well, that was quick I just hope you would have been quick in other matters as well.” She teased him.
“will you help us or not?”
“now come on Adi what did Mrs. Paul said , what is the magical word?” Irritating him was her favorite pass time, how she loved to play with his feathers. While she kept on looking at Abhishek, who was as well looking at her with pleading eyes!
“Please Akshi help us out with this.” Adi pleaded. Akshita smiled at him and then pretended to look out, that’s when she saw Mrs. Nina walking to the staffroom and an Idea clicked into her mind.
“hey Arshiya, did you met Nina ma’am it’s her birthday today, I guess.”
“Ohh really, thanks for telling me. I really want to get into her good books or else this time for sure I am going to fail in Math.” She said hurried of to the staff room, while adi kept hiding behind her, and Abhishek he left huge sigh.
Way to be macho mans. She thought and was about to go and sit in her seat when she heard Adi say “thanks you saved us.”
She just nodded her. it wasn’t a big thing that you get yourself in such situations she wanted to say, but Instead kept quite not wanting to rile him up.
“By the way who was she really? “ Abhishek asked. Akshita laughed and replied
“Aditya’s future -girlfriend!” With that said she walked out of the class to receive her best friends who as usual were late ,not to forget completely ignoring Adi who for sure was irritated.
