Unlucky in Two Lives

Libianca's Point of View

Why was my luck always rotten? I get reincarnated into a forgotten werewolf princess who is to be sold off to a tyrant for the pack's greater good. For the good of people who despised my existence all this time.

My eyes burned with hatred as I was dragged away glaring at my aunt's retreating.

I got separated from my brother and was taken to a room to be cleaned up. Although I was technically being sold as a slave, I had to be presentable, cleaned and dolled up to create an illusion to the Lycan lord that I was of value to the park and worth the peace treaty.

"Why should we be the ones to serve her? " An omega spat, looking at me with disgust.

"We just have to; after today, we will be free from her cursed presence." Another one scoffed. I gripped my dress, trying to keep my anger at bay; they didn't even pretend to keep their disgust away from my face. I had already taken a shower earlier, and they were helping me dress up and do my makeup.

"These clothes are a pure waste on her." Another mentioned out of jealousy.

All their words were from jealousy because, despite me being a fallen princess, I was still the most beautiful girl in the pack who was envied and lusted for because of my looks.

As one of them was craving my brows, she deliberately cut me, thinking I wouldn't react, but unfortunately for her, my mood today was not the best. I slapped her hard across her face, which stunned all the maids. Her accomplices ran to her side.

They were stunned by my actions, but I was done being looked down on. This was my second chance and I will decide how to define myself.

"Get out of here!" I commanded them with a strong voice. They were probably scared by my fury and ran away. Omegas will always be omegas. I scoffed, looking at their retreating backs.

After they left, I stared at my reflection in the mirror and used a wipe to clean the blood from my bleeding brow. I sighed seeing it was not healing as fast as it should because my Wolfless state followed me into this life along with my bad luck.

After finally stopping the bleeding, I decided to do my makeup and choose a dress for myself. ' Now I look like a princess who is about to be sold. ' I thought, staring at my reflection in the mirror. Zina was very beautiful, I must admit.

With a brave face, I left the room, even though he was a ruthless tyrant, I was going to go to his pack. It was better than staying in the place. Only if I could leave with Alexei.

I was ready to make the decision the previous owner was scared of. At the door, there was a warrior standing guard; I guessed the maids didn't run their mouths about me.

"Take me to the Luna," I asked. The warrior was stunned at my appearance but quickly got over it..

"Huh, okay, follow me." He stuttered. I followed him to a door which looked very familiar. It was the alpha's study, the warrior didn't knock because he had probably informed them ahead of time via mind link.

I confidently walked into the study to see five people already present there. Three faces were foreign, but there was one that stood out. Sitting majestically opposite the alpha, he sat there looking domineering like he owned the place. I didn't need anyone to inform me he was the Lycan lord.

Although it was our first meeting, I can't think of anyone who looked this sinfully handsome with such a demeanour. My confidence evaporated when his grey eyes fell on me. It was a short glance, but it was enough to make me shrink.

"Oh Zina, you are finally here." My Aunt Melissa chimed like a loving aunty who had just seen her favourite niece. She used her hands to signify I should come closer.

I braced myself to come close even though all my instincts were screaming in my head to run away. The aura of the Lycan lord was something I could not stand. It was too domineering and powerful.

"You look very beautiful Zina." My uncle Ezekiel complimented.

"Thank you, alpha Ezekiel." I respectfully replied with a forced smile; since they were all playing the happy family, I would play along as long as I could get out of there and then make sure to escape before we arrived at the other pack.

"This is my niece, the daughter of the former alpha of the pack." Melissa then introduced me with a bright smile. The Lycan lord didn't say much but just nodded, he looked like the type that didn't talk much.

"This is enough for you to overlook our mistakes, my lord." My uncle nervously said. I felt like sneering at how eager they were to sell me out for their own good. The Lycan lord indifferently glanced at my uncle, not bothered by anyone.

" Get out. " His cold voice suddenly ordered with authority. He was so scary no one could stand him, especially werewolves. What the hell was my uncle thinking of by attempting to go against this man? Everyone started rushing out of the study. It was funny how this was not his pack but yet he had this much authority.

"I didn't say you should leave." His voice boomed behind me, sending shivers down my spine and bringing me to a halt just a step away from the door. My terrified aunty turned behind to look at him, barely holding herself. ' Is he talking about me? ' I asked myself.

"Everyone but her should leave." He said again to make his instructions clearer. I was struck at a spot while everyone left. 'What does he want from me?' My thoughts screamed.

I nervously gulped and turned towards his direction. "Is there anything you want from me, my lord," I asked with my voice shaking. I was trying to control myself, but I couldn't stop fidgeting.

The Lycan lord, Alpha Nikolai, was like a god of war to the shifters. A man who has never lost a battle. "Come close." He commanded, and my legs moved on their own, obeying his command.

It stopped a few steps away from him. "Are you happy here?" He suddenly asked. I was taken aback by his strange question.

"This is the pack I grew up in," I answered, being careful of my words and avoiding giving a direct answer.

" That is not an answer. Are you happy here? Do you like this place? " He asked again.

"Of course I love it," I answered. No matter how much I hated this pack, my brother was still held here. The Lycan lord stood up from his seat to approach me. I tried to move away, but my feet betrayed me and were rooted at a spot. His towering figure dominated me, he looked down at me with those grey eyes that held so much power.

His hand approached my face and stopped just an inch away from the skin on the cut I had close to my brows, his eyes darkened. " You hate it here, don't you? Every part of your body is repulsed by them." He stated, his eyes were staring intently at the cut on my face.

I was stunned. How did he realize it? I made sure to hide my disgust earlier. "How can I be repulsed by my pack?" I questioned him with a sad smile.

" Why are you still defending them? No matter how you hide it, I know you hate them. " His hand was now playing with my hair, deliberately avoiding contact with my skin.

" Yes, I don't like it here, but this is the pack my late father fought for till his last breath, and my brother is part of it. So why would I hate what he is part of? " I answered. Neither did his stoic expression change nor did he move away. His strong presence dominated me in every way.

"He fought for this pack, but they killed him." He suddenly stated, leaving me flabbergasted. Where did he get that idea from? Except for me, no one else suspected the cause of the accident that night, even Alexei was too young to remember the night our parents died.

"Who told you that?" I gasped.

"I investigated the fallen princess, the former daughter of the alpha who her pack was ready to let go of to save themselves." He answered me with an authoritative voice.

"I have an offer for you; follow me willingly from this pack, and I will do something for you in return." He offered me the olive branch.

"What will you do in return?" I asked with my brows furrowed at his words. He leaned towards me with his warm breath fanning my ear. It sent sparks similar to what it felt like to be touched by your soulmate.

"How about I burn this place you hated for years to the ground and take you and your brother far away." His charming voice that made me weak to my knees whispered in my ears, voicing out my darkest desire.

Why was he willing to do that? What did he truly want? His voice gave me goosebumps. Did he mean what he just said? As if reading my thoughts from my expression.

" There is no need to think much. I was never the type to forgive my enemies in the first place. The moment they decided to go against me sealed their fates. " He chimed, smiling devilishly at me. How can someone be this handsome? He was the devil in human skin.

My breath hitched; he was a tyrant, just like the rumours. " You planned on destroying the pack right from the start. Didn't you? "

"Their end was imminent from the start," he said with a lopsided smirk.

"Then why did you bother negotiating with them if that was your plan?" I was starting to reconsider my resolve. If I followed him, would it be possible to escape his clutches, or would I be sending myself to hell?

" Let's say I was curious to meet you, Princess Zina, but then again, I love to be thorough when handling things like that. Give them a glimpse of hope, then take it away. " He spoke casually, but it sounded menacing in my ears.

"Is that why you want to give me a glimpse of hope only to crush it later?" He froze for a second before he took my hair into his hands and sniffed it while staring at me.

I felt something move inside me staring at those sharp grey eyes that seemed like they wanted to devour me. He didn't answer me, but I had a crazy feeling he would not hurt me. There was something in my mind that was telling me to jump into the abyss with him despite the warning signs.

" They sold you to me. I am not the type that hurts things that are mine, so once again, I will ask, would you burn with them or come with me and watch them burn? "
