CHAPTER 9: Let's Go to The Club

12th January Saturday Morning, 6.35 A.M. Jennifer's House, London.

Jennifer was walking down the stairs when the butler called her and said she had guests. At first, she wondered who had come to see her so early. If it was Brittany or Ruby, they would have gone straight to her without saying anything to the butler. However, Jennifer's astonishment was answered when she saw the stature of a man from behind, looking at the park.

"Robert?" call Jennifer. Robert turned around, showing his smile.

"Hi, Jen. I hope I don't bother you." Said Robert with a soft smile.

"Actually not. But, you came here very early in the morning. I was so confused earlier."

"Well, Ruby told me you didn't have any schedule today, so I came straight here." Robert explained.

"Oh," Jennifer nodded her head several times, "would you like something to drink?" asked Jennifer then.

"Ah, no need. I mean, not right now. I wanted to take you somewhere right away." Robert replied, approached Jennifer then turned Jennifer and pushed her toward the stairs.

Jennifer was about to ask what Robert meant, but the man had covered her lips with one finger and told her to get ready and put on her workout clothes. Jennifer thought maybe Robert wanted to ask her to exercise together. So, she immediately changed into comfortable workout clothes.

A few minutes later, Jennifer came down to find her butler telling her that Robert was waiting for her outside the mansion. Jennifer immediately came out. Sure enough, because Robert was doing several stretching movements before finally noticing Jennifer's arrival.

"Let's jogging together. We haven't done it together for a long time, right?" invite Robert.

"Well, I was too busy to meet you."

Jennifer and Robert started jogging together. Every now and then, Robert turned to jennifer and smiled even though jennifer did not look back at him. It was clear that he had liked this woman next to him for a long time, but he only confessed his feelings a few days ago. Just say he's a loser, but he just needs the time to say it. Not to mention, Jennifer who is busy with her activities makes him rarely see each other.

After a few minutes of their running, Jennifer stopped at a turn and bent over, catching her breath as it turned out that he had run quite a distance from her mansion.

"We sit there." Take Robert when he sees a wooden chair a few feet in front of them. Jennifer nodded and walked over to it.

"There's a tavern there. I'll buy you a drink. What do you want?" asked Robert.

"Just mineral water. Thank you." Answer Jennifer who is still trying to catch her breath.

"All right, wait here."

At the same time, Robert left Jennifer to buy a drink. When her breathing returned to normal, Jennifer wiped her sweaty sweat with her arm.

"Huh, it's been a while since I ran early in the morning so I get tired quickly." she muttered to herself.

Soon, Robert came with 2 bottles of mineral water and handed one bottle to Jennifer. Jennifer took it and drank it right away.

"Looks like you haven't jogged in a long time. Only run for a few minutes but you're tired." chuckles Robert.

"Well, my schedule is all in the morning. I don't have any sports besides the gym at the mansion."

"Shall we just go back?" asked Robert.

"Good idea. We have to go back. I can't stand it." Said Jennifer, who immediately stood up.

Robert laughed. The two of them walked side by side back to Jennifer's mansion. To reduce Jennifer's tiredness, Robert kept talking to her until it didn't feel like they had arrived in front of the mansion.

When they entered, the butler was preparing breakfast and some snacks that Jennifer used to eat. No calorie snack, of course.

"Breakfast is ready, miss." Said the butler to Jennifer.

Jennifer turned to the dining room and then turned to Robert. "Let's have breakfast first." Invite Jennifer who is supported by Robert.

They both sat side by side with their backs to the dining room door. while eating their breakfast, the two of them chatted and joked together, like two friends who haven't seen for a long time. Yes, it is. Luckily for Robert, today Jennifer has no activities and can spend time with him.

"You know, you were very beautiful this morning." Said Robert, smiling meaningfully at Jennifer.

Jennifer raised her eyebrows, then laughed. "You're kidding. You know I haven't showered, right?"

"You really don't believe it. I'm serious. You're so beautiful today. And I like it the most when I see you laugh, like that." said Robert, tilting his head and supporting it with one hand.

Robert's gaze made Jennifer feel uncomfortable. Jennifer cleared her throat — trying not to give in to the teasing of the man beside her — then tilted her head, looking at Robert.

"Say, you want me to compliment you too, right?" joked Jennifer. Robert raised his eyebrows, laughed.

"All right, Robert. This morning you were very handsome too. Even beat Daddy's good looks."

Robert laughed again. "Hilarious. So I'm that old until you compare me to your Daddy."

The two of them continued their conversation in the family room, in the garden, or by the pool. Until late afternoon. They really do spend time together. In fact, when lunch time arrived, Jennifer asked him to have lunch together. Jennifer no longer feels awkward and annoyed after the past incident. Actually, can't be said to be completely annoyed because even Jennifer thought it was not Robert's fault.

"Want to go to the club, Jen?" asked Robert when the two of them were watching television.

"Huh? Hm, looks like I have to let Ruby first."

"Well, that's not necessary. Because I told her we were going to the club tonight. And she's fine with that."

Jennifer's eyes were almost perfectly rounded. "Is it true?" asked Jennifer in disbelief - almost screaming. Robert laughed, nodding at Jennifer's question.

"You want to get ready now?"

"Great. Of course. Wait here. Make yourself at home. I have to do a few things." Said Jennifer as she walked to her room.

"Take your time. Call me if you need help."

Robert shook his head, amused at Jennifer's behavior, which was too happy. Even Jennifer just raised her hand to form an 'ok' symbol to him without turning around. From there, Robert could know that his decision to invite Jennifer to the club was the right one. Well, let's say this is an accidental date?

12thJanuary, Saturday Afternoon, 4:45 PM P.M. Campbell Enterprise.

Danzell leaned his back against the sofa he was sitting on. He felt very tired after hours of discussing work with Arthur. In fact, he wondered why Arthur could endure working long hours after having lunch together.

"Aren't you tired?" Danzell asked, looking at Arthur who was tidying the paperwork on his desk.

Arthur turned his head, leaned back on the table, and crossed his arms. "Tired what do you mean, Danzell?"

"Wow, you even asked me. You do have a strong stamina, huh."

"Well, this is an easy job. You complain too much."

Danzell squeaked. Sometimes Arthur just likes to mock him like this. And he always ended up losing every time they argued. So, he decided to keep quiet rather than respond to Arthur's taunts.

Suddenly, Danzell sat up straight after an idea popped into his mind. In his opinion, this is a brilliant idea to do after a long day of work. He will take Arthur with him.

"Arthur, let's go to the club."
