CHAPTER 6: Only A Name of A Haughty Woman

January, Tuesday Night. Jennifer's house.

Jennifer and Brittany have just finished their dinner. Yes, Brittany is with Jennifer at Jennifer's house. Ruby asked her to accompany the rebellious girl so that she wouldn't go to the club alone again. Because of this, Jennifer continues to ramble on Brittany.

"Argh, Ruby is overreacting." Jennifer is still frowning.

"Hey, it's for your good, Jen. She's just worried about you."

"Yeah yeah. For my good. But, come on. They don't go there anymore." Jennifer groaned. On the sofa, her legs continued to kick upward — she was annoyed.

Jennifer sat up at once. Brittany who saw it was amazed by the attitude of this friend. Luckily she loved her.

"I want to tell you something." Said Jennifer.

"Then just tell me." Brittany positioned herself - ready to listen to Jennifer's story.

"You know, a few days ago I met someone. Hm, well, he's a guy and he's handsome."

Brittany began leaning closer to Jennifer, feeling intrigued by the story that Jennifer will tell. "Then?"

"We've met a few times. He said that he had seen me since I and them - bitches - fought. But, I didn't see him at that time. We met again at the same club the next day, and that time I was with you, ah, you must have remembered him. " Jennifer turned to Brittany.

"Oh? Don't tell me, that man?" Brittany raised a finger as she remembered a man who had argued with Jennifer a while ago.

"It's him. And we met again this afternoon. Is this all coincidence or is he really a stalker? Whether what was said is true or not, he doesn't know my name." Said Jennifer.

"Wait! Wait." Brittany tries to understand Jennifer's story. "You said, you met him again? Hm, so if you count he has met you 3 times. And what? He doesn't know your name?" suddenly Brittany became annoyed with him.

Jennifer nodded quickly. "Yes, he said he just moved here. And what I don't understand is, he said he wanted to be friends with me."

"WHAT !?"

Tell Brittany overreacting to it, but she was indeed surprised. Come on, this whole country knows that Jennifer is a girl that no man can touch - even a lot of other women who stay away from her, abuse her, curse her, belittle her. Ah, just imagining it makes Brittany even more sick. And just now Jennifer told her there was a guy who wanted to be friends with her? Has the world turned upside down?

"I mean it, Brit. He keeps asking for my name. I haven't told him. Well, it's because I wonder if he's gonna try and find out who I am." Jennifer whistled smugly.

"Huh? Why do you want him to try like that? You should be glad someone wants to be friends with you like him. And like you said, he's a handsome guy." Brittany teasing ignorant.

Jennifer frowned when she saw Brittany as if flirting with her, or was it like that? At that moment, Jennifer laughed.

"Oh, BRITTT!" her laughter grew even louder this time.

"What?" asked Brittany with an innocent face.

"Are you kidding? Come on, look at you. It's as if you said I liked that man." Jennifer's laughter stopped.

"Oh, I didn't say." Brittany raised her hands.

"Yes, you did." Argued Jennifer.

"I know you were very conscious when you said it, Jen. Admit it." Now, Brittany was chuckling.

January, Tuesday night. Club, London.

Arthur moved his gaze from one end to the other. In fact, he kept an eye on the bar located in the middle. Gosh, what's he doing now? He felt he was doing a stakeout of a mysterious case solution.

"Where is she?" he muttered to himself.

Instantly, he got up from the sofa and walked over to the bar. he sat on one of the bar stools and a bartender came over to him.

"Orange juice."

Well, he wanted to stay awake - without getting drunk.

The bartender placed Arthur's order in front of Arthur - staring at him closely.

"You were the man yesterday." Said the bartender. Arthur looked up to find the figure of the bartender who had spoken to him.

"Arthur, right?" the bartender said his name.

"Yes, you do remember me." Said Arthur then took a sip of his drink. The bartender shrugged his shoulders.

"Looking for someone?" asked the bartender when he saw Arthur who was turning his head to and fro. Arthur turned around - cleared his throat.

"I'm Charlie, if you forget my name." The bartender said his name.

"I remember."

"You're looking for my friend, aren't you?" Charlie asked guessing.

Arthur looked at Charlie - clearing his throat. "She didn't come today." He said.

"Well, she never told me to come or not. But, i heard from Ruby, her manager, forbade her to go to the bar again. Especially alone like that time." Charlie explained.

Arthur furrowed his brows - trying to think. "Tight security, huh." he muttered. Charlie shrugged his shoulders in response to Arthur's statement.

Both of them were silent, doing their respective activities. An idea just crossed Arthur's brilliant mind, he grinned.

"Hey, Char. I saw her again this afternoon. I asked her to tell me her name, but because we met at that time in the wrong situation, she didn't have time to tell me. Well, she already wanted to tell me her name." Arthur explained - according to his version - what happened this afternoon.

At first, Charlie seemed doubtful about Arthur's statement, but seemed to see Arthur's innocent twinkle, the man was telling the truth.

"I wanted to ask, why are you so curious about her? Usually, if you already know her name, then you will find out her cell phone number, home address or something," Charlie narrowed his eyes. Arthur noticed that strange look and laughed in response.

"What? Come on, actually it's not important for me to tell you. But, never mind. Well, I just wanted to make friends. A few days ago, I came here with my friends. But, because they all have to go home, as you can see, I'm alone here. You know, I'm picky when it comes to friendship. And I happened to see that woman yesterday when the bitch bullied her, so, well, I feel like we should be friends. That's all. " Arthur explained.

"Well, life is tough, dude. We can't live alone either. You know, she's really lucky to have friends like Ruby and Brittany." Charlie cleared his throat, "maybe, it'll be okay if you were her friend too."

Arthur smiled meaningfully. Come on, the trick worked - only to find out the name of the woman. "so?"

"Jennifer. Her name is Jennifer Andrea." Charlie purposely didn't mention Jennifer's surname. Come on, he's not that stupid — revealing his best friend's family name to a man he just met. Let him know it himself.

Arthur stood on the balcony above, gazing at the darkening sky. As if he had just got a treasure, the man was smiling to himself all this while. in fact, only a name of a haughty woman - really not his type.

Arthur went inside, took his cell phone that was on the nightstand, and walked back to the balcony. he looked for the cellphone numbers of his two friends. After finding Edric and Dennis's cell phone numbers, he made a group video call.

Before long, Edric and Dennis picked up the video call and their faces appeared.

"Hello, brother." Say hello to Edric first.

"You've missed us this fast, huh?" Dennis teased later. Arthur and Edric laughed.

"Hey, Art. It's 8 in here. Isn't it too late in london? Did you call us this late? I wouldn't believe it if you actually said you missed us." Said Edric. Arthur laughed again.

"Oh, I hate it when you laugh like that. I know what your laughter means." Dennis looked disgusted by Arthur's laughter at this moment.

It works. Arthur stopped laughing, sighed. "Do you remember that poor woman in the club?" asked Arthur then.

"Of course I remember it. Gosh, how many times have I told you not to call her like that." Snapped Dennis.

"Shut up, Dennis. Definitely not the point. We remember it, Art. What's wrong with her?" said Edric.

"Well, you know, we met several times accidentally. And I'm sure you all would be fine if I became friends with her, right?" arthur laughed. "Haha, that's why I want to tell you this, I know who she is." He said - still laughing.

Nobody answered Arthur's words. Edric and Dennis fell silent. But, no one noticed the change in expression on their faces except for themselves. In fact, arthur was still too busy in his own world - laughing nonstop. While, for Dennis and Edric this is nothing. Come on, just foreign women. Is not it?
