CHAPTER 3: A Drunk Woman in A Club

Sunday 6th January, 22:35 P.M. Night Club, London.

As usual, all the women's eyes were on the three handsome men who were now passing them all towards one of the VIP rooms in this club. Arthur, Dennis, and Edric have only visited this club twice, but it seems they have caught the attention of many people, including women. Arthur did not respond to the adoring glances of each woman, but not to Dennis and Edric who seemed to be proud of themselves. Ah, especially Edric the big playboy in their group.

"Maybe you're right, Dennis. We should just move here." Edric said as soon as they entered the VIP room.

"I told ya! But, too pity. We don't get approval here." Dennis responded with a quick glance at Arthur.

"What?" asked Arthur when he found his two friends staring at him with their strange looks. However, he didn't care. At best a trivial matter, so it's up to them.

"Tsk, You're so insensitive. It's useless if I sulk with you." Dennis grumbled.

"Sulking? Are you a woman?" cynical Arthur. Edric chuckled at Arthur's taunts aimed at Dennis.

"You're so mean. You will just end up like Justin."

"I can tell Justin about you."

"Look! Now who's like a woman! Edric wants to fuck me up, Art!" Dennis was annoyed because he felt he was being bullied by his friends.

"It's still you. You're now complaining to me. Right?" Arthur smiled mockingly.

"What's wrong with you guys? Really annoying." Dennis grumbled.

Again, Arthur didn't care and only smiled mockingly back. At least he still remembers the help of his two friends at his new house this morning. But, not by staying together. Come on, they can rent a hotel room and not share a room with Arthur like this. But, instead of obeying, Dennis and Edric made all kinds of excuses so they could stay another night at Arthur's house.

"Good thing we're not betting on who will get married first. Felix will already lose if we bet." Laughter Edric.

"Yeah, luckily we didn't make a bet. I even thought Arthur would get married first." Dennis's chuckled later.

"Why do you think I am? When it's clear Felix is always upset and crazy when he was dealing with Roxanne at that time. Gosh, just remembering it gives me goosebumps," said Arthur while hugging himself, "but, I salute him. He was very serious. About Roxanne. " Arthur continued.

"You're right. I've never seen Felix that serious. I wish I could be like him." Edric said, staring at the ceiling of the room.

"Dude, I swear you must repent immediately or you will suffer karma yourself." Dennis said.

"Leave it, Dennis. He's bound to be hit by karma." Arthur continued.

"You swear at me?" Edric pretended to put on a shocked face when he heard his friends swear he had karma.

"Yes, I have. I'm going to the bathroom first." Arthur immediately left before Edric continued.

Arthur left his room and headed for the bathroom which was a little far from his room. It had to pass a long corridor because the bathroom was located at the corner. On the road he passed, he had seen a woman with her head bowed drunk at the bar table. Arthur immediately thought that the woman might be heartbroken to get drunk like that.

"Stupid," muttered Arthur, smiling sarcastically.

Come on, drunk cause of love? It was enough that he saw Felix drunk from the flames of jealousy with his own brother. And now, a drunk woman alone in a club with a broken heart? That woman is so stupid. Her own fault was falling in love.

After Arthur returned from the bathroom, he went back into his room with his friends.

"Art! Guess who we saw earlier!" shouted Dennis to Arthur who had just sat down.

Arthur only tilted his head once at Dennis as if asking him for an answer. Dennis and Edric themselves looked very enthusiastic, for some reason.

"THAT WOMAN! THAT WOMAN!" exclaimed Edric to Arthur before Dennis could answer him in a prettier way, for Dennis.

"Hey! I told you not to call her that!" Dennis still doesn't accept it because Edric still calls his idol woman with that lowly title.

"Geez, it's her again. You guys like her, don't you? Still remembering her." Arthur looks as if he doesn't care about Edric and Dennis's findings.

"You... Ah, but she looked really drunk earlier. I only had time to see her face anyway. She looks very sad indeed. Oh, I hope she is okay now." Dennis said attentively.

"You're just like her lover." Snapped Arthur. "when did you see her? It looks like she is a regular customer here."

"Earlier Edric took me out for a while to meet some women. Yes, you know how Edric is. But, because we saw that woman, I dragged Edric in again." Dennis replied casually.

"Because of you! I forgot them!" Edric grumbled, who did not accept Dennis, who had dragged him into their room when he had not even had time to greet some of the women outside.

"Hey. Just because of that woman you guys fight? you punk. Shut up." Arthur interceded.

Jennifer did not know how many cups this was. Anyway, she knew very well that her consciousness was running low now. In fact, she could feel her head constantly pulsing and turning. Her eyes couldn't see clearly. Vaguely, she could only hear the bartender speak.

"Jen, you've been drunk badly. This isn't good." Said the bartender, Charlie.

"Hey,"

"Gosh. I'll call Ruby, huh? You have to go home. Wait," Charlie immediately contacted Ruby and asked her manager to immediately pick up Jennifer who was very drunk here.

"Wait a few more minutes. Ruby will pick you up. Try to stay with me, okay?" Charlie gave Jennifer a little shake so she could still hear him. Meanwhile Jennifer just nodded her head weakly, whether she really understood or not.

Before long, Ruby came to the club and went to Charlie, where the man was watching Jennifer at his bar table.

"Gosh, why did Jennifer end up like this?" Ruby was amazed why Jennifer didn't take her to the club together and got drunk alone like this.

"I don't know, Ruby. I told her not to drink too much. But, she ignored me. I can't do anything else." Charlie said.

"All right. Thanks for looking after Jennifer, Charlie. I'm taking her home now." Ruby tried to make Jennifer stand up from where she sat and spread a hand to embrace Ruby's shoulder.

Without realizing the two women, a man was looking at them from a distant corner. The man just stared at the two of them going towards the exit door with a blank gaze.

Monday 7th January, 8.45 A.M. Jennifer's house, London, UK.

Jennifer woke up with a very dizzy head. She held her head in one hand, and the other hand tried to support herself and tried to sit up — leaning against the head of the bed.

"Ah, look who's awake from a long sleep. The sleeping beauty who likes to get drunk. Ckckck!" Ruby appeared from the door of Jennifer's room.

Jennifer snorted. Without asking, she would immediately know if last night Ruby brought her home. Well, her last memory at the club was when Charlie said he was going to call Ruby. Afterward, Jennifer wasn't sure what she was doing.

"Don't know what to do without you, sissy." Said Jennifer, smiling and showing a face like a child.

"Huh, geez. I'm always more calm than Brittany. But, that doesn't mean I can't scold you. Don't take advantage of my weakness, Jenny." Ruby narrowed her eyes.

"Hahaha, what do you mean? Your weakness? I take advantage of your weakness? That is precisely the strength you have, Ruby. How can you say I'm taking advantage of your weakness? Don't be too humble." Jennifer said between laughter.

"Whatever, jennifer. I'm not being humble in front of you either. Ah, anyway, why are you going to the club alone again ha? Didn't we clearly warn you yesterday? It's not even 24 hours and you've done something stupid again." Ruby grumbled.

Jennifer laughed as she drank the mineral water. "Haha, that's why I don't know what to do without you, Rubyy!" said Jennifer spoiled.

Ruby rolled her eyes in embarrassment. "Whatever."

"Besides, you came home yesterday, and Brittany has things to take care of. Yesterday my parents came, but I can't possibly take them to a nightclub together. It's not a family trip." Said Jennifer.

Ruby tilted her head in disbelief at Jennifer's joke which ended with laughter from the two of them. Well, the reasons do make sense. But, still she was annoyed and felt that Jennifer was doing something stupid again.

"Got it. Get ready now. I can't change your schedule anymore because this time they are ready at the shoot and you have to get ready now. I've cooked hot porridge for you." Ruby said as she walked into Jennifer's walk-in-closet.

9.00 A.M. Arthur's Penthouse, London, UK.

Arthur is doing the Squat Rack in his gym room. Dennis and Edric came over to Arthur and put a bottle of mineral water beside Arthur. Arthur stopped and opened his drinking bottle after thanking his two friends.

"When are you going to leave here?" asked Arthur.

Dennis choked on the mineral water he was drinking. "Seriously?" felt incredulous as Arthur asked — one that seemed like he didn't feel comfortable with Dennis and Edric's presence.

"Well, I just feel you've been here long enough and you have to return to take care your business. I also have to start work tomorrow." The word Arthur emphasized the word 'should' there.

"Yeah, yeah. It's not fun when you're already working." Edric responded.

"Yes, yes. We'll be back tonight."

"Wow, really? That fast?" Arthur looks happy.

"You said we've been here a long time, and now you don't even believe it?" Dennis is a little annoyed by Arthur's play. Arthur and Edric chuckled.

"Actually, I have no problem if you guys still want to linger in London," Dennis already looked pleased with Arthur's words before Arthur continued his sentence, "but why do you have to live with me? Should you just rent a villa, or a hotel room? a little bit of a bother even though you guys helped me here yesterday. "

"Hish. I'm learning not to be extravagant." Dennis replied.

"and we want to take care of you." Continued edric. Arthur raised his eyebrows, not understanding what Edric meant.

"Look after me? From what?"

For a moment, Dennis and Edric looked at each other with their mysterious smiles.

"The bar woman," replied Edric and Dennis together. Arthur himself just shook his head thinking his two friends' answers were ridiculous and absurd. That woman? Seriously. Besides, he's not a kid anymore, right.

Arthur came out of his gym and headed for the bathroom in his room to clean himself from the sweat. Meanwhile, Dennis and Edric are still inside to continue their activities there.

In the evening, Arthur takes his two friends to where Edric's private jet is. Arthur thought Dennis was just kidding, but it turned out that they were leaving for New York tonight.

"You'll be okay if we leave you here, right?" Dennis asked, fiddling with his brows, for some reason - Arthur didn't understand.

"You have to be careful." Edric continued.

"What's wrong with you two?" Arthur felt strange about the attitude of these two friends. Come on, tell him to be careful? With their weird smiles? That was very strange for Arthur.

"Nothing." Edric replied as he hit Arthur on the shoulder before climbing the jet ladder.

"Remember, hurry up and find the right woman for you! You've been alone for quite a while, Hahahaha!" dennis chuckled. If Dennis hadn't entered the jet yet, Arthur would have beaten Dennis with his bare hands.

"But, take it easy. If you don't find that woman too, we'll still be here for you." Edric continued, and again showed his strange smile.

Okay. What's wrong with the two of them? All day they always discuss women. In fact, Arthur did not mention the problem of women first.
