Chapter 4
Sunday. As usual, Sandy and I woke up early to go to church. At six o'clock we left the house and at exactly eight we returned home.
We caught Sake in the living room watching a game show. His elbow was resting on the sofa and his lying position seemed to be on the beach. He just got home and it looks like he hasn't left since before because this is what he slept on last night.
"What is the area of a circle?" question of the t.v host.
Sandy and I were still standing in the doorway, removing our shoes when we heard Sake answer.
"A is equal to pi multiplied to r squared."
"A is equal to r squared?" male response on t.v.
"Wrong! Missing pi brother!" Sake shouted as he moved the remote to the t.v.
"Is that your final answer?" question of the t.v host.
"Final answer." the man replied on t.v.
"Your answer is ... wrong. The correct answer is A is equal to pi multiplied to r squared." Wikia was disappointed t.v host.
Sandy and I were shocked by what we heard. We looked at each other, amazed.
"I told you brother tse." Sake replied to the man on t.v.
Only now have I seen him like this. I just smiled when I realized that he was also a child.
"Don't scold that man." Sandy scolded him for entering it.
I was shocked when he suddenly sat on Sake's stomach but Sake had no reaction.
"It's mine. I'm the spectator again." he said simultaneously grabbing the remote.
I'm just looking at them and I know I shouldn't feel it but I'm jealous.
"Hey! Where are you going ?!" Sandy shouted when Sake suddenly stood up.
"I'll sleep again." he answered without emotion.
We looked at each other as he stood up. I smiled at him but he just turned his back on me after he stared at me blankly.
I really should start concealing my feelings.
We've been with Sake for two weeks now and lately I've been hiding my affection for him more. Although sometimes it's hard to hide so I just walk away. But my approach to him is still the same.
I was preparing dinner when there was a knock on the door. Sake and Sandy were in the living room but I volunteered to open the door.
I glanced at the two of them. Sake was just looking at his cellphone while Sandy was just reading a book I had just finished reading.
It's the first time that Sake hasn't left the house all day and it's also the first time that he actually hung out in the living room except for the past.
He seems to be adopting us.
When I opened the door Sir Peterson opened up to me. She was carrying a flower and paper bag while smiling at me.
He is wearing only jeans and a t-shirt which makes him look different.
"Hi." he greeted
"G-Good evening Sir." I hesitated to greet him. What is he doing here?
"I'm sorry are you upset? I should have said goodbye first. I came here today to apologize for what happened the other day. You've been the talk of the town recently because of what happened."
Ah, yes. After they visited us, we were a bit full of gossip at school but it also disappeared as soon as it was proven that we really had no connection with the hacker they were looking for.
"It's gone Sir. It also disappeared right after one day." I am ashamed to answer.
"Good. By the way I brought you gifts just for you because Sandy's was not bought by what I ordered." he apologetically looked at me.
"It's just Sandy even if I'm gone. Come on." my tongue smiled.
When Sir entered, the two people in the living room were immediately distracted. Sandy looked shocked but Sake just didn't.
"S-Sir Peterson?"
"Good evening." he greeted them. "I just wanted to apologize formally so I'm here now." he spoke politely to Sandy.
Sandy was just staring at Sir Peterson when Sake suddenly stepped on him.
What is it?" its complaint once caressed his foot.
"Exaggerated. You've spit three times."
I turned to them. Sandy is already throwing Sake a pillow. Why do they seem so close? I thought he didn't like Sake? Did something happen that I don't know about?
"Hey, are you okay? You look worried?" Sir Peterson asked me helping me set the table.
"Ah! No Sir." I turned in Sake's direction and he looked like he was going up to his room.
"Why are you the only one here in the kitchen?" Sir Peterson asked again.
"I schedule now." I sparingly answered while running towards Sake.
He stopped when I suddenly grabbed him by the hem of his t-shirt and asked to look at me.
"Just come with us to dinner." I am with him.
"I ha.
"Don't act like that!"
Sandy pulled him into the kitchen and held his two hands but he didn't moan at what he did.
What just happened? When else have they been close? This is bothering me.
We're already at the table but I'm still keeping a close eye on Sir and Sake. I just want to see how they react to what I cook. I can no longer eat well with too much vigilance.
"It's good for you to cook Anya." Sir praised me while consuming his adobo.
One down!
"Thank you sir." I am ashamed to answer.
"Please, it's just Baron." he said.
"Why Baron do you like my friend?" Sandy joked that she had just finished eating. Baron replied with a smile.
I turned to Sake who was just quietly eating. He was next to Sandy and Baron was to his left. Didn't he like what I cooked? He had no reaction. Is it normal to eat poker -faced?
"By the way do you have a relationship? You look close." Baron suddenly asked Sake and Sandy so I barely stopped eating. 'Nothing,' I said to myself.
No one answered the two of them until Sake stood up and said goodbye to go up to his room.
"Thanks for the food." its language before finally leaving.
After we ate, Sandy came up to me first so only Baron and I were left in the kitchen. I washed the dishes while he cleaned the table.
He also gave the gift to Sandy but Sandy doesn't seem to appreciate it which is weird.
"Thank you Anya."
"Nothing - Baron." I just laughed to myself. I should train myself with Baron but I wouldn't dare call him that when we were at university.
"I'll go first." smiling this goodbye.
"Remember." I smiled at him while he's walking away waving his hands at me.
He's not bad.
I turned off all the lights on the chin first before I climbed. I also locked the gate as well as the main door and backdoor. I also brought water so that I wouldn't go down when I was thirsty.
When I got to the room Sandy was still awake. He smiled at me and put down the book he was holding.
"Anya, do you still like Sake?" she asked in her sweetest voice.
I was caught off guard with her question so I laughed.
"No longer." Liar. You just walk away but you still love him, my inner self shouts at me.
Lately I haven't really been with and talking to Sandy. There are things I haven’t told him yet and I know there are also things he hasn’t told me yet.
But right now I want to hide it from him first. What I saw on Sake's computer. My feelings because ...
'You can stop caring from now on.'
... I don’t want anyone to hurt the two of us.
"Really?" her eyes are smiling at me and I know what's next.
"Because I think ..."
It'll hurt I know.
"... I'm already liking him."
It'll hurt a lot.
Messy hair and long bangs that almost cover her eyes.
Skinny (but sexy).
There are eye bags but it only adds to his handsomeness.
No feelings.
I went through the characteristics of Sake that could be the reason for me not to like him anymore but it had no effect.
After the confession session with Sandy, he became more attached to Sake. He even talks to Sake more than me but we're okay. His only problem is that Sake doesn't talk to him hehe. Gosh! Like me !, what am I thinking.
"Miss, we're already here."
I quickly took the payment from Manon g and then got out of the taxi.
"Thank you man."
When I came down, the appearance of my senior high classmates immediately dawned on me. They sat outside the coffee shop. There are also tables here and umbrellas that serve as protection for costumers from the heat of the sun.
I waved at them and walked over to their table.
"Wow! Doctor, you're more beautiful and sexy, aren't you?" Mira praised me for sitting down.
"Yes, because I haven't eaten properly for one week," I joked.
"Ha, ha, are you still going to run out of food? I know you very well Anya.", Luke interjected while sipping his coffee.
He probably remembered in twelfth grade that I went home on his birthday haha.
I just laughed at Luke's reaction and sat down.
"So ... what is this meeting for?" I will ask.
"For our reunion," Lisa replied. He was my seatmate in twelfth grade.
"Shall we plan?" I asked eagerly.
"No. We'll just give you an invitation today," Louis, one of Luke's friends, replied proudly.
"Oh? Seriously?"
"Yes. We prepared everything so all you have to do is attend," Mira replied.
Woah. These guys are unbelievable. They are still good today when it comes to activities like the good old days.
Lisa handed me the invitation when I suddenly remembered Sake.
"By the way won't we include Samuel?"
"Actually he has an invitation here. Please give it to him if you see him," Lisa replied while handing me the invitation with Samuel written on it.
"Yes, you were the only one he was close to then and this is also a good opportunity for us to see each other's condition."
Mira said nicely but I feel like they want to embarrass Sake a little. By the time they find out that he is no longer studying for sure he will be the target of temptation at our reunion.
We talked for a while. We just greeted each other and also said goodbye immediately because the rest of us still had walks. I am one of those.
I have to visit Mrs. Cruz because it's his birthday and of course I brought a cake and a gift for him. If it weren't for his project then I probably wouldn't have known Sake and I wouldn't have known myself either.
I first thought of going home to say goodbye to Sandy. I'm going to spend the night there and maybe I'll be able to go home the next day, I don't want him to worry.
When I got home I was already carrying the cake and gift I had bought. I put the cake in the refrigerator first and laid my gift on the table.
I caught them playing in the living room and Sandy looked stunned because he had already pressed the joystick while Sake was just calmly watching the t.v.
"Ah!" Sandy shouted in frustration.
'You lose!'
"Why can't I beat you?" he complained that the joystick had fallen but he did not receive an answer from Sake.
Sandy looked at me and I smiled at her.
"Oh? You've been there before?" he asked while sitting on the sofa.
"I'll just get there. By the way I'm going somewhere today and I'll be home tomorrow so lock the house well before you go to sleep."
Her face lit up and she looked happy with what I said. He had a different smile as he looked at the ceiling. He seems to know that only the two of them and Sake will be left here all night.
"All right! Be careful!" he said cheerfully.
I took my bag to the table as well as the ones I would take for Mrs. Cruz. It was four and three hours by bus to our place. I put on my jacket before finally walking to the door.
"All right. I'm leaving—"
"I'll come," Sake said as he sat on the floor. He took his bag that was on the side of the sofa and only now I noticed that he was able to leave.
He also put on his jacket and quickly took off his shoes and came out to me first.
Stupidly I turned to Sandy who looked shocked at what had happened. I just said goodbye to him and left.I AM SAYING that this day will also come. I placed the bowl of popcorn on the table and pressed the remote before I take a sit. The T.V is on but I'm not watching. Popcorn is also on the table but I have no plans to eat it. Honestly, I don’t know what I’m going to do now.
I haven't been able to talk to Anya properly for a few days and I think she still likes Sake contrary to what she said when I confessed. After they left earlier I was more enlightened by what was happening.
"This is boring." I have no appetite for language of my own. Why does Sake have to go with Anya. Why am I so attached to Sake?
I smiled when I remembered what happened last week. I was on my way home when I passed a bakery and was drawn to the fragrance of the bread. I love bread so I immediately went to it and bought the ones I wanted to eat.
"It's me, miss." I handed the female caretaker my choice.
"The amount of it, ma'am." he enjoys language with me. I just smiled at him and searched my wallet inside the bag I was carrying. I stopped when I realized it was left on my study table. Oh my gosh! Where do I get payment for it?
"It's me, miss." I turned to the man who spoke. I was familiar with his voice so I didn't hesitate to face him.
"Hi." I awkwardly smile at him. He turned to me for a moment and turned his attention back to the woman who looked obsessed next to me. Annoying! What will I do?!
"One hundred pesos all, Sir." She said softly while slightly straightening her hair. What the heck ate ?!
"Uh, include him as well." I turned to her, shocked at what she said.
"T-Really?" I can't believe language. He just nod at me and smile. Dub, dub, dub.
WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT ?!
"I'll be the first, Sandy." He said goodbye and walked towards the door.
"Uh, Sir, your change!" PostScript shout of the female guard.
"Keep the change, miss." He waved his hand and walked out of the bakery.
I was gripped by my chest, I couldn’t understand why the strength of its pulse. No! I hate that guy! I feel like he just caused trouble and he is not a sensible person. I slightly hit my chest. Stop, I rebuked my heart before taking what I bought.
That was the first time I talked to Sake. Even though that conversation was short, I felt something I couldn't feel in my blind dates. Add what happen
Tuesday.
I was waiting for the car because our group study was at my classmate's house but unfortunately no one was passing by. Until he came in his car, which I didn't expect him to have because he didn't park it at home, and stopped in front of me.
He opened the window and stared at me. He was wearing shades and his usual white t-shirt paired with his black pants.
"Hop on." he said not looking at me.
"Huh?" I'm not sure if he's referring to me so that's all I said.
"Sandy, get in the car." He had an authoritative language so I immediately opened the passenger seat door and sat down next to him. What just happened?
"Next time, don't wear such a short skirt and don't wait in a place where you're not with me. It's hard and maybe something bad will happen to you. I hope I'll deliver you?"
"S-In Sunny V-Village." I was shocked by what he said. I couldn’t understand why he was like this to me. Is he playing with me ?!
"What is your problem?" I no longer restrained myself from asking. He's acting weird lately towards me.
"No. Is there anything wrong with worrying about other people." I was silent at what he said but I recovered immediately.
"We always meet, are you following me?" I pocketed all my shame.
"Sandy, it's all just a coincidence. It's just a coincidence that where I am, you're there too." He smiled at what he said and I was stunned by what he showed.
"Okay, we're here. Be careful."
I rolled over on the sofa in extreme trembling. I just remember the encounters Sake and I had feeling my heart would explode. It's a coincidence that maybe the two of us meet. I know Anya still likes him but I can't just beat him right away!
I need to do my best to get Sake. He was the only man who made me feel this. Unlike the ones I met at university who were just * toot * chasing me! Sake is very different from them. I hugged the pillow I was holding and sat up.
I reread the text I received from Sake. 'Lock the house.' It's really exciting! I know I'm fragile but Sake is the kind of guy that you can really easily carry.
I won't stop Anya even if she herself says she doesn't like it anymore but I will also do my best so that I don't feel any remorse in the end.
