Chapter 3

CHAPTER 03]

WARNING. Don't run when your hair is covering your face. You'll black out.

I woke up because of the sunlight hitting my face. I just rubbed my forehead when I felt the pain. Gosh, what else did I do?

I turned to the right side of my bed and stumbled to get my phone that looked like it had been ringing for a while. Alarm.

"So, how did you get to you-know-who's room?!"

"Ah! You surprised me!" I shouted at Sandy who was at the foot of my bed.

"You surprised me more." Her language is fluent. "3am Anya. Knock on that door you already know who and you're lifting." She said while pointing at the door of our room.

"Ah! I'm sorry. I just checked if he came home this morning and then I bumped into his door."

Her eyes narrowed as she looked at me.

"He said to clean his room while I'm coming in."

I couldn't believe what Sandy said and without thinking I quickly ran into Sake's room at four o'clock.

He is getting dressed.

"Don't you know how to knock?" he asked as he put on his t-shirt.

This man is sexy. The skinny but just right for him.

"I'm sorry. The door is open so I went in right away."

It looks like he just finished taking a bath based on his slightly wet and messy hair. I swallowed my saliva down my throat before I spoke but he preceded me.

"It's good that I'm wearing jeans. Maybe you've seen something you shouldn't have seen." he smirked.

I blushed because of what he said but for him it just didn’t seem like it.

"By the way, clean my room." he commanded without emotion as he grabbed his bag and went out the door.

Is it my fault if I'm ashamed of him? Yes, it's your fault, my inner self answered which is right. No one else is to blame for what happened last night but me. I followed Sake's gaze until he came down the stairs.

Even if we say that I'm just worried.

I PLACED ON the table two glasses of milk and sat in the vacant seat in front of Sandy.

"Thanks for the first aid on my forehead." I said as we ate breakfast.

"Me? Sake put that on." She replied once consuming her paghetti. "Oh hey, I'll be the first."

I awkwardly smiled at her. "Remember."

I can't get what she said out of my mind. It looks like I really owe a lot now to Sake. In fact my friend is greedy for sleep and it looks like she even traded taking care of me to sleep!

Sake didn't seem to have a choice so he did it, I said to myself while holding my forehead.

FORTUNATELY we are NOT in today because of an urgent meeting in our department. Since the president's son came to our department, my school days have been improving. Nice.

Before I cleaned Sake's room, I took a shower and cooked just in case he came home hungry.

I put on my cleaning attire and brought cleaning materials to his room to start my cleaning.

Sake's room isn't really dirty, it's just messy. So my first mission was to fix his things and then that's where I cleaned up.

I wiped all his belongings as well as the windows and floor. I also mopped and entered our room. Next I gathered all his laundry and washed it as well.

I close my eyes when I hold his underwear.

And lastly his computer. I didn’t move it, I just fixed its wires and nice.

I 'm done!

I was about to sit in his swivel chair when my palm accidentally touched his computer keyboard and its monitor opened.

Only one icon is placed on the screen and it is not familiar to me. It looks like a symbol. I clicked it and a message came out on its side like a branch.

asterisuniversity — information file.

What the heck is this? It's my school. What file does this sender say?

Another message appears on the side of the icon.

The information is from ...

Not the full message appears but only the ones in front of the messages. My curiosity is killing me. How do I open it? I double clicked the icon but it still doesn't open.

Only now have I seen such a login on the computer. This could only mean one thing. Sake is a hacker?

"I told you to clean up. I didn't tell you to move my stuff."

I looked at the door and Sake was standing outside it while holding his bag. He just stared at me blankly as I couldn’t breathe.

"W-What's this?" I asked him, not ready for what happened today.

I know he will deny himself if I miss this opportunity. If I don’t immediately ask now he will think of the next good alibi. I hate anticipating.

"Files from your school," he casually replied. He walked over to me and raised an eyebrow at me. "Do you mind?" he said sarcastically.

"Oh!" I immediately left his seat.

He sat comfortably on his chair as if it were his throne. He typed something on the keyboard and then a black screen popped up in front of us.

Eh? Then out of nowhere I don't know what he did the full message I saw earlier came out.

Its font color is green and the font style of the text is monospace.

"You're the hac—"

"No," he interrupted me.

"Why do you have our school file?" I asked boldly, confused.

"I don't know. I don't even know this sender. Since I moved here to your house, I started receiving files related to your school to this anonymous person," he explained while just looking at the message he received.

"If that's the case..."

“Looks like someone wants to make me a criminal,” he said with a smile.

He looks scary. He looks evil with that smirk and fiery eyes. I've seen him smirk like this before but I've never seen emotion like this in his eyes.

"What do you mean?" I hesitate to question.

"I know there's an issue with the security system of your school Lopez and since I don't have any, I'll just let this stupid sender go until he gets tired of what he's doing."

He got up and walked out of the room.

"How did you find out about our school?"

"Everyone knows it."

As a matter of fact, what happened at our school is widespread. It was already in the news the other day so maybe he already knew. But to my recollection nothing was said in the news that it was about our security system.

We went down the stairs and I followed him into the kitchen.

"What if they mistake you?" I asked worriedly, ignoring the questionable thing he knew about my school.

He just stared at me before opening the refrigerator and taking a yakult.

"Maybe I'll be jailed."

In the tone of his voice he didn't seem to care about anything that could happen. I don't have a future to prepare for, that's what he told me then and it seems that until now this is still what he wants to convey.

"Harold is angry!" I shout at him. Harold was right. It seems that the old man considered him a child.

He just stared at me while leaning on the counter while drinking yakult turned on. I can't read what he's thinking.

"I thought Sake was your crush, why are you still worried about me?"

His expression is playful. Looks like he wants to know something. Doesn't he still really know he's Sake? Or does he just want to come right out of me that he is?

"Nevermind," he said reluctantly.

"Harold still kept us here so I'm worried about you, us. The day he told you to stay here I felt you were our responsibility. So I hope..."

I just stared at him straight but deep inside I really wanted to hide. It's true what I said although something is hidden but it's true.

"I'm not your responsibility. You can stop caring from now on."

He left after he said those words. I don't know where he's going as long as I know he's leaving saying it's not my job to worry about him anymore. Okay.

"WHO LIVES IN a pineapple under the sea..."

I was just sitting on the sofa while watching cartoons when Sandy suddenly came. She was panting and sweating profusely. It looks like a dog is chasing it.

"What happened to you?" I will ask.

"Shameless friend! They're going here Sir Peterson!" She said in a panic.

Ah, I'm wrong.

"Why?" I asked while watching the t.v. After my conversation with Sake earlier, I lost the urge to move so I was lazy. I will fertilize here until my jeans no longer fit me.

"They have located confidential files of the university here in our house!" She whispered confusedly.

I immediately turned to her. I can't paint her face anymore and I think any minute she will cry.

"None of us are computer literate, are we Anya?" her voice trembled as she asked.

"Nothing," I nervously answer. But we have a 'yes' with us.

"Knock Knock?"

We gasped when we heard a man calling from outside. Oops! What are we going to do?! What will I do? For sure they will check all the computers here at home including Sake's.

"They're already here Anya," Sandy told me worriedly. I got up from my seat and quickly turned off the t.v.

"Sandy let them in. I'll just take care of something upstairs."

I couldn't wait for Sandy to answer. I quickly ran up the stairs and headed to Sake's room. His computer was still on and the messages he received were still displayed on the monitor.

Dead. I quickly removed it from the outlet and covered it.

"Good afternoon sir." From Sake's room I heard Sandy's enthusiastic greeting.

They are already down there I can't do anything more. As long as it's turned off they can't open it. Not that maybe.
