Chapter 6

*Dominic*

"Boss Baby!"

My eyes rolled at Walter as he fell on the couch and I give him a look. He looked up at me with these eyes that I knew all too well, "what did you do?" I ask sighing, "okay look, I tried to keep her away from you but she's just so...."he says making me eye him more, "who?" I ask with a raised eyebrow just when the door opened and Samantha Reynolds, my ex and the most annoying person on earth walked in.

"Dom!" Samantha says acting surprised, my figure doesn't move and I could see Walter's laugh building up, "I had no idea you were at work"Samantha says walking to me, I hoped no one like my sister or other family member walked in because it would not end well at all.

Walter took out his phone and started typing, I assumed he was ordering something to eat on his behalf. "So, did you miss me?" Samantha asks me, Walter snorts in response earning her attention, thank you!.

"Quade"Samantha says, "Wicked Witch"Walter replied, oh boy, "see you still hang around Dom, can't find a job?", she had no idea that Walter made more money than her family did, and trust me, her family is pretty wealthy. "At least I still get a text back before a blink"Walter says leaning back as if he'd won some trophy, but really, he did.

Samantha hung around for a bit and I prayed she didn't because Vincent and Tristan just opened the door, both with amused looks. "Look who we found on the elevator"Vincent says moving and my eyes widened, Jordan walked in with a smile.

Her hair was flowing down her shoulders in curls, she wore a pretty blue dress that ended right above her knees, it was a little puffy like a party dress. She wore black wedges with a gold anklet on her left ankle with her name imprinted on it, nice. Jordan had a coffee cup in her hand and the boys had treats in theirs.

"Hey"I say getting up as she walked to the desk,  "hi, I assumed you needed this"Jordan says placing the coffee on the desk "or did you just want to see him?" Tristan teased, "dude"I say rolling my eyes, he's got a big mouth.

Jordan blushed then took out a jacket from her bag, "you left this behind"she says handing it to me, "oh, thanks"I replied taking it, the boys gave me amused looks and I knew I'd have to explain everything to their messed up minds.

"Don't tell me you stole my friend"Walter defends with a huff, "he didn't"Jordan laughed lightly, "good"Walter says glaring at me, he's definitely something else. "Do you have any plans for the next hour?" I ask Jordan, she smiles softly, "actually, I'm free for the day, why?" she asks and I shrugged, "you wanna join me for lunch?" I ask kindly, don't judge, she's a very beautiful being, inside and out, "I'd love to"she replied happily.

I could see my friends faces, very much amused, "Dom, what's going on?" Samantha asks, she was still here?. Vincent strode over to her with a sly smile, "treasure this moment dearest, he's left the nest"Vincent says patting her shoulder, Samantha grew a little red and the boys snort, oh boy. I don't look at her once more, I just led Jordan out.

*Jordan*

"I'll have a bacon and cheese hamburger combo"I smile at the lady taking our order, Dom gave me a look, "you do know that's a lot of food right?" he asks and I shrugged, "doesn't hurt me, what are you having?" I ask cheekily, "I'll have the cranberry salad and water"he replied to the waitress.

Snorting, I shake my head at her, "just bring us two of what I'm having"I say politely, she smiles nodding as I turn to look at the bewildered man sitting across from me. "You're changing my menu?" Dom asks in amusement, "by the looks of it, you only eat salads at lunch"I replied, "are you saying I'm skinny?" "oh come on, we both know you aren't, but I'm just saying that you need to eat more food that's unlikely on your menu",he doesn't respond, just smiles at my answer.

So far, our lunch was going great, Dom was almost finished with his meal as well as I was, I always had this meal with Penny, it was her favorite kind of food.

"Oh my gosh, you're Dominic Hilton!"

My head snapped to the bubbly girl and her friends squealing in excitement, I look at Dom who watched the group of teenagers fan girling over him. "Can I help you lovely ladies?"Dom asks politely, "um...uh can we have a picture with you, please" a brunette grinned pleadingly.

Dom glanced at me while I munched on my fries, the girls gasp, "that's if your girlfriend doesn't mind"a blonde says looking at me pleadingly, "you don't mind, do you sweetheart?" Dom asks flashing me a smile, I roll my eyes in response, "no harm there"I shrugged finishing my food as a waitress took the picture of Dom and the girls.

After lunch, which Dom paid for, he did invite me for lunch though, so I couldn't argue. We went back to his office where I got my car and left for my house.

Dom wasn't what people described him to be, well not to me, I haven't seen him treating others in anyway, he's pretty okay to me.

"I'm telling you Jordan, let me just bury him"

I shook my head at my brother as I move around the kitchen, he called to know if Penny was back yet, its been two weeks now. "Just let him be Michael"I say sighing, my older brother was something else, I've got two of them, Michael and Zander, two psychopaths.

"Zander is coming down there in a few days"Michael says as a matter of factly, "why?" I ask too quickly, "because you need someone there to have your back, you know my job is a little-..." "I know, fine, but you know Zander and I haven't talked since highschool"I tell him, Michael sighed in response, "I know, I asked him to come stay with you for a while, I don't trust that Nicholas, never have and never will" "I get it".

Zander Meyers, the brother who was my twin ever since I could remember. Him and Nick were best friends, that's until Nick got me pregnant and that was the end of their friendship, I lost my brother, the one I shared nine months with inside our mother, he left for military school right after graduation.

He saw Penny once when he came to visit our parents sometime last year when she was there for holidays, he kept in touch with her through them but he hasn't spoken to me at all, I wonder how it's going to be.
