Chapter 5 wolves vs witches

By the time the roosters were waking up from their sleep, Terrick and Annex were already up preparing themselves to go meet the others who had assembled at the border. 

Saphira the white witch requested to go along with them but Terrick still rejected her request. 

  Terrick and Annex left the witch's house at exactly five in the morning. The two men shifted to their wolves and ran to the woods continuing from where they stopped yesterday. 

Reaching the border, Terrick saw that everyone was there as he requested. He didn't take all of his fighters. He just took twenty-five from his pack and twenty-five from Alpha Damien's pack, summing up to fifty soldiers excluding Terrick, Annex, Damien, and Thomas.

   Seeing as they are going to fight feral humans who have been turned into black witches and have no combat skills. Not knowing that those humans/ witches have some rogue vampires and wolves on their side.

Seeing as the supreme alpha had finally arrived, alpha Damien and his beta Thomas walk up to Terrick to greet him. Alpha Damien told Terrick where and when the witches attacked them.

The two packs led by their alphas match the northern coven to go witch hunting. Walking, more like running. 

    in their wolf form of course.

They reached the witch's layer. Their weather looks different. Though it is still the early hours of the morning, the clouds here are still pitch black like it's midnight. The weather is cold though it is the summer season. The air smells of potions and witchery. The aura here is dark and smells of evil. If any human was to pass around this area, they would run without looking back, but these are not human but supernatural beings who are not affected by such scenarios as they have seen much more than this.

    Standing not so far were the dark witches who stood watching the group of wolves marching towards them. They stood prepared as if they were expecting that they would be coming today. 

Standing not too far from them are the humans who have been turning into black witches. 

    They are in gages. Banging on the bars of the gage requesting freedom.

Terrick and his group of wolves could see the witches even though it was pitch black here, thanks to their wolf abilities to see in the dark as well as hear the tiniest bit of sound that other creatures apart from vampires can't hear. The wolves are the only creatures that have super fast healing abilities.

    Terrick could hear some heartbeats coming from the bushes and judging from the sound of the heart beats he could tell they belong to wolves. He didn't expect the witches to have a backup from them. And he could tell that they were about two thousand of them if he was not mistaken.

Terrick sends a mind link to the soldiers informing them of the people hiding in the bushes. That's in case they didn't pick up the heartbeats but he doubts that they didn't.

    Looking at the number of people they are to fight, it seems like it is not going to be fair. When have these black witches ever played fair? Terrick thought.

Terrick walk up to the witches and said 

   "give up the turned witches and maybe we would let you go unharmed"

"Hmm, your offer sounds tempting but I'll pass," replied their leader.

   "Alright then, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you shall get" after saying that he gave the signal that his soldiers understood.

The wolves ran to where the black witches were intending to kill them. But before they could reach where the witches are standing, the witches open the gauges of the turned humans. As they were no longer humans, they could see all the wolves in their form. 

The feral humans scratch and bite the wolves. 

   Casting spells on them as they have the abilities of witches.

The black witches join the fight. Fighting the wolves but not fairly tough. This fight has never been a fair fight since the beginning. The black witches never play fair. 

   The black witch will disappear when her opponent strikes, only to appear behind him and snap his neck, killing him on the spot.

The easiest way to kill a wolf is by snapping its neck or ripping off its heart.

Terrick was cornered by twelve crazy humans but that didn't slow him down. He hasn't been crowned the supreme alpha just because his father was the former alpha but because he is fit for the post.

He killed them without breaking a sweat. Well not like a wolf can sweat.

    No matter how many spells and curses are thrown at him, no one can affect him. He is immune to the witches' curse be it a black witch or a white witch. That is one of his many benefits as the supreme alpha and coming from the lineage of the first wolf who ever walked the earth.

The witches Terrick brought along with him are small in number and have no combat skills. 

   So the only way they could help is by reversing spells and curses laid upon the wolves. They stood at a distance while trying to reverse the spells well some of them as they couldn't reverse all.

Though the wolves were outnumbered by the witches, they managed to kill a great number of them. Clawing and beating them limp to limp.

    Seeing as they are losing, Thelma, the head of the witches, gave a signal to their friends hiding behind the bushes and they fled From the battleground.

The black witches disappear leaving the feral humans to be killed by the wolves as they have no use for them.

They were not only rogue wolves hiding behind the bushes. But they were vampires there too. 

   Terrick could not hear their heartbeats because vampires have no hearts. And he couldn't pick their scent because the black witches had covered their smell.

The wolves and vampires hiding behind the bushes step out of their hiding places. They attack their opponent in full swing. Clawing and beating them. The vampires sunk their fangs into the wolves' flesh while using their sharp nails to claw out their heads leaving their blood to drip and suck the dry ground.

     Terrick did not expect the vampires as he could not hear their heartbeat or smell them. Thanks to those witches.

Seeing as the vampires and rogue wolves have joined the fight, the fight seems very difficult to handle.

Terrick had to calculate his chances of winning this fight and it was not high, thinking about what to do he wished the witch was present right now.

Nonetheless, he fought with them even though he knew he was not going to win.
