Chapter 4 Black witches

After finishing up the meeting, Annex went back to Terrick's office. He told him what they said and what their worries were. 

"They want to know how you plan to handle this new competitor,” said Annex, unveiling what they said to Terrick. 

   “I don't see the need to share what I have in mind with them. I'll just do what I have to do, and they can thank me later when this competition is no more”. Annex looked at him as if he was joking. As in, who acts without informing the B.O.D. of his company? 

    “Terrick they are your BOD, it's their right to know your plans and how you run the company”. Annex said, reprimanding him, his voice going high a little. Forgetting the fact that he is talking to his alpha. 

Terrick raised his brows, looking at Annex as if reminding him that he was talking to his alpha. 

    “Am sorry alpha I didn't mean to raise my voice, I just got carried away?” Annex apologized while bowing his head down and showing his neck as a sign of respect and submissiveness. “Hmm,” Terrick hummed, nodded his head and accepted his apology. 

   To be honest, Terrick will do nothing to Annex if he disrespects him. Forget the fact that he is his alpha and Annex is his beta. They are childhood friends and best friends. They know each other very well. Their relationship with each other goes way back to the fourth generation. Their great-grandfathers were friends, their grandfathers were friends as well and even their fathers were friends. And they all died together trying to protect their people from danger, and that's why they are all legends according to the supernatural world. 

    Annex knows this fact, but he just wants to show him respect as the supreme alpha. I mean, if he doesn't show him respect as his beta then how will Terrick's subjects respect him? 

   “Okay, then let's do something about the competitor. You can go tell those chicken heart BODs what we discuss.” Said Terrick to Annex, who just nodded his head. 

    “We will get rid of the wrong customers. There's no point in doing business with the wrong customers, who will not help to lift the company. Will offer our customers something that our competition can't offer. The company is new, and it has less revenue than ours. Why don't we adjust our pricing?” Ask Terrick.  

    “And if that doesn't work in bringing them down?” Ask Annex.  

   “If that doesn't work then we find a new target audience, we can release a new product or service. We could step up customer service. Create a new loyalty or reward program. We can equally experiment with new marketing campaigns” 

   “That sounds good,” said Annex approvingly to Terrick's suggestions.  

   “How I wish they weren't humans. I would have snapped their necks for going up against me” Terrick said with a dangerous smile on his lips. Annex just shook his head. His alpha is just so vicious. 

   “You can go and tell them what my plan is and let them choose what they want to do. Since as their opinions count” Terrick said the last part with a little sarcasm in his voice. 

Annex just shook his head and left the office to go inform the Board members of Terrick's plan.

    Just like every other company that tried to compete with Terrick's, this one was crushed too with no mercy.

Terrick and Annex were talking about some things concerning the company when Terrick received a mind link from his head guard Jeffrey.

   (Good day alpha, I bring news from the alpha of the blood moon pack. Am standing outside your office can I come in) he asks in a respective tone. (come in) Terrick said looking at the door which was pushed lightly by his chief guard Jeffrey.

   "What does alpha Demian have for me," asks Terrick, going straight to the point.

"Alpha Demian said the black witches from the northern coven have been transforming humans into witches. He said giving a Little pause so his alpha will digest the information before he continues" a bunch of them attacked the blood moon pack yesterday"

   "How did he know that they are humans" this time it was Annex who asked.

"Alpha Demian said the ones who attacked them didn't smell like witches but they smell like humans who have the abilities of the black witches. So he concludes that they are humans who have been transformed." Jeffrey said, bowing his head down, not looking at the alpha or beta in their eyes. 

   Terrick looked at his chief guard with a grin on his face which made the guard gulp nothing seeing the way his alpha is smiling like the devil himself. "Those sneaky witches." He said still smiling "this will be fun don't you think so Annex," he said looking at Annex who just gave him a nod. 

  Though he doesn't show it he is happy that they fight to go to. It's been a while since he fought and his wolf is begging for it.

  "Go on Jeffrey, I will be there tomorrow. Gather the warriors in our pack and tell Alpha Demian to do the same. Take some of the witches in our pack with you and wait for me at the border. Jeffrey bows his head before living.

He turns to his wolf with fur as black as night. 

  The wolf walks amongst the humans but they could not see him thanks to the barrier between the natural and the supernatural world. 

Jeffrey runs through the wood leaping over tree trunks. 

  He ran for hours before finally reaching the pack house. Without resting he sends a word to Alpha Demian requesting him to gather his warriors as per Terrick's demand and wait for tomorrow so they can go witch-hunting. He did the same in his pack 

    Meanwhile back in Terrick's office. Terrick sends a memo to his staff telling them that he has a business trip out of town and would be gone for a week or weeks. He gave them the dos and don'ts. After doing that he left with Annex but not without living with some wolves in the company who act like other employees. You might never know when an enemy might strike.

    Being in the supernatural world conflict and enmity is common and Terrick being the supreme alpha has a lot of enemies who want to bring him down.

Terrick took his car with Annex driving and him in the passenger seat and drove off. Driving through the thick bush of the forest. 

   They reach a spot where the vehicle couldn't go through. They step down from the car and shift into their wolves and run through the thick bushes.

The reason why Terrick said he would be there in the morning is that he wants to visit an old friend. Running for hours and finally stopping in front of a house. Terrick and Annex shift back into their human form.

    The house is not so big but pleasant. It is painted white and the front porch is big enough to build another house on. Stepping into the house without knocking. The living room looks big. Looking around you'll find potions on shelves, and a pot that looks like it's boiling something inside. Standing not so far is a witch with hair as white as snow, with green eyes, her body looks like any model.

   She is a white witch who doesn't have a pack or coven. She likes to be free. " To whom do I owe this pleasant surprise," asked the witch whose name is Saphira, turning around to look at the people who entered her house without knocking. Acting all surprised like she didn't know that they were coming.

" cut it Saphira," said Terrick in a warning tone.

   "My apologies supreme alpha," she said with a tone full of sarcasm. Annex just looks at the two bickerings. This is what they always do whenever they meet each other.

   " OK let's cut to the chase. You're here because of what the black witches are up to right?" Said Saphira with a tone that sounds serious

  "Yes" answer Terrick

   "You might need my help in fighting them. According to what I know, their plan of turning the humans failed. As they couldn't pass through the transition and now we have feral humans who have the abilities of the witches but are not in their right sense of mind."

   "That's why I'm here, I know that they would go feral. This is not the first time those black witches have tried to convey the humans. But they never learn their lesson"

   " So should I join you guys or not?" asked Saphira in a bored tone as she wanted to finish this discussion and continue with what she was brewing in her pot.

  " no, there's no need for you to be there, I just wanted to know the situation and confirm my theory which I have. We'll crash here for the night and leave first thing tomorrow morning" he said as he walked up the stairs without waiting for her reply.

   The witch just shook her head and continued what she was doing in her pot. Boiling something that looks green in color.
