Chapter 2 The dead of their parents

150 years later

   It's been one hundred and fifty years and Terrick is now the supreme alpha. His dad died when they were attacked by rogue vampires. He died trying to protect the people of his pack. He is known as a hero. His mother Aurora has been in a coma for 50 years now. She couldn't take the pain when the mate bond between her and her mate was snapped. 

  When one loses his mate the mate bond between them breaks and when that happens the pain is too much for sine wolves to bear. Some die, while some go feral. Some wolves overcome the pain and move on. In Aurora's case, the pain was too much for her to bear, and she ended up in a coma.  

    When Terrick was raised as the Supreme alpha, he hunted and killed every vampire who took part in the attack. Killing them with no mercy. His beta Annex, whose mom died when he was still a pup, lost his father during the attack. 

        Flashback 

     Sapphire was fighting next to Marcus and died too. They were outnumbered, and the vampires had some dark witches on their side. Marcus was fighting about ten vampires at once. The vampires were biting and scratching him. Terrick who was one hundred and eighteen years at that time was fighting not too far from his dad and next to his annex.  

     Sapphire was about to strike a vampire when a black witch did some spells and his blood began to boil. He tried to fight it but couldn't and his wolf gave up and then shifted back to his human form. You could see how he was sweating. He tried to absorb the pain he was feeling but couldn't. He took a step forward but fell on the ground grunting. Marcus was so occupied with the vampires who were attacking him nonstop that he couldn't hear his beta calling him through the mind link. 

Sapphire noticed his dad's condition, and he ran up to him, but he was too late. 

   Out of nowhere a vampire came and ripped Sapphire's head from his body. 

Feeling the bond between him and his beta break, Marcus looked to where his beta was and saw him on the floor in the pool of his blood and his sin in his human form kneeled beside him. Marcus was distracted by the fourth of his beta and best friend that he didn't notice the vampire who was coming. 

    In the blink of an eye, Marcus's head was ripped off his head. And he drops dead.  

Terrick felt the bond between him and his father break but was too occupied to think about the pain he was feeling. Fighting the vampires, who were increasing in numbers. Terrick saw that they could never fight all of them. I mean two against fifty, that doesn't sound fair. Terrick jumped and ran to where his dad was and carried him before calling his friend. They ran from the battlefield carrying the body of their dad's in their hands. Promising themselves that they will avenge their dads.  

Which they did by killing every single witch or vampire who took part in the killing of their dads. 

    End Of Flashback 

     Terrick sat by his mother's bed, holding her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. He stayed in his mother's room for almost two hours before going outside.
