Chapter 6: Someone with the same fate

Julia Meetsell POV.

My hands tremble like aspen leaves as I walk briskly out of the pack. I have to let it go, receiving hatred from my so-called family is enough to bear myself but I can't allow anyone to hurt my child. I must get ahead of this and prove them wrong, I clench my fist firmly and wipe my tears away.

My heart stops beating for a second the moment I stop in front of a familiar place, the bar where I met Vorgtha. Maybe I might see him today, I need to talk to him.

The cozy night air brushed on my pale face as I went there. I walked to the same stool from that night and looked around to see if I could see him.

“What would you like to drink? A whiskey?” A male voice asks behind me.

A faint smile appears on my face, and a knot of anxiety as well as hope ignites within me. I thought I had finally found him but my smile disappeared when a strange man was standing in front of me. My face dropped. I felt disappointed to see another person instead of him.

“Are you Okay, ma'am?” The bartender asks, trying to figure out my feelings.

I'm not fine within myself, I was confused about what to do. Vorgath is nowhere to be found! This can't happen when I have no one to rely on at the moment.

“Where is Vorgath? Tell me where he is at the moment!” My voice rose with a desperate feeling, my eyes were filled with anxiety that sent some scary feeling down my spine. The people at the bar were drawn to me and the bartender but I didn't care less. I need to find ways to survive.

The bartender moves back and squeezes his face giving me a disdainful look that I don't expect. “Are you not the weak Omega who begged to be the Alpha's mate?” He asks, pointing at me in disgust.

At that moment, reality hit me harder than I expected. It seems I'm now recognized by the whole world, I even earned another tag with my name. THE WEAK OMEGA BEGS TO BE ALPHA'S MATE. My soul almost left my body when loud murmurs filled my ears. I never expected to meet my hurtful pain right after I ran away from the hell pack.

My grip tightened on the bag and sniffed back my tears from falling. I couldn't afford to get tormented any longer, I rushed out of the bar in pain. I looked straight at the moon and a sad smile crept on my face, it seemed I was cursed by the moon goddess.

I release a deep breath after walking far from the bar, my eyes slowly avert to my belly and I rub it gently. “I need to stay alive, at least for my child,” I said to myself with the little strength within me.

I sat on the roadside furniture to receive the fresh air, this was the first time of freedom after my parent's death. I guess my decision to leave the pack wasn't bad after all, but I'm now homeless.

“Are you Okay?” I swivel my head in the direction where the voice comes from.

The person is a middle-aged woman who looks dashing in her outfit, but I was confused by her appearance. Her claws were out and her fingers were long, showing that she was a wolf, even though I was weak, I could sense a mixed energy within her.

Just as if she was aware of my thoughts, she gave out a charming smile. “You don't have to trouble your mind, I'm a Homid Wolf. Half human and half wolf” She said with a bright smile that made me comfortable for some reason.

“Oh, I see” My curiosity about her has been cleared, she is not as harmful as I thought.

“Of course, I'm not harmful,” She said and I shifted away from her in her fear.

My eyes focused on her with an intense gaze. “Can you hear my thoughts?” I ask slowly.

She chuckles and tucks her jet-black hair backward. “I'm sorry but I have that kind of ability,” She said with a smile and I nodded my head slowly. “I guess you were thrown out of the pack or probably you ran away yourself? I guess it is both”

My eyes shifted in shock, I found her interesting and strange at the same time. “Are you reading my memory too?” I ask, trying to hold my shocked expression.

She shakes her head slowly as it moves in rhyme with her right hand's second finger. “I don't do that. I just know the feelings, you know. I was also once in your position though”

I became more interested in her and I moved a little closer to her. I guess I found someone, who shared the same point with me. “Are you also hated by your family?” I never meant to ask such a question but my mind is eaten up with curiosity and I can't wait to get the details.

“Kind of. What do you expect? I'm a half breed not a true blood. Of course! I have to face hatred from the pack in total” A trace of bitterness crept up on her face as she told me this.

Seeing another person, who suffers the same fate as me, makes my heart shattered. I could relate how she felt while being thrown out by those people she thinks of as a family.

“I'm sorry about that, I can relate how you feel” I console.

But this woman kept smiling which got me confused, she seemed like someone free of worries. “I'm fine and no longer in pain” She said before standing up. She turned to me and stretched her hand, “Nice to meet you, my name is Elena Wyre” She said.

That name sounds familiar but I shrug it off and take the handshake. “It's my pleasure meeting you, My name is Julia Meetsell” I beam the best smile I can afford.

Elena chuckled and diverted her gaze to my bag. “You are the famous Omega after all. Will you need help with that?” She asked with her gaze fixed on my bag.

'Huh?” I was taken aback by her sudden gesture, it felt so fast and unreal.

“I mean do you mind staying at my house?” She asked again and my face lightened up. A strange strength enveloped me, I felt so happy at the moment that my heart almost jumped out of its place.

“Of course! I don't mind!” I scream happily
