A few days passed and Desiree's date with Noah had arrived, they hadn't gone to one recently so she was feeling a little nervous.

She dressed in a red tight-fitting dress and her pair of black stiletto heels, they were going to a posh restaurant so she had to dress up for the occasion.

At seven o'clock she was waiting in the hallway for Noah, he was going to be there at any minute and she didn't like to keep anyone waiting for her. After a few minutes passed she heard the familiar horn of his car so she informed her parents that he had arrived and walked out of the front door.

She walked down the stairs and was surprised to see Noah waiting for her outside of the gate with a bouquet of dark red roses in his hand and wearing a suit, he had never done something like that for her but she had to admit that she liked it because it made her feel special.

''These are for you, sweetheart'' He told her as he handed her the roses and kissed her on her forehead. ''You look beautiful.'' He added as he stepped back to admire her.

''Thank you so much, you look pretty handsome yourself Noah'' Desiree told him with a smile.

''Shall we go now, mademoiselle?'' He said as he opened the black car's door for her and offered her his hand so she could get in.

''We shall, monsieur'' She told him with a smile as she took his hand and got in his expensive car.

In about an hour they had arrived at the restaurant, Les Nomades.

'''Welcome to Les Normades, do you have a reservation?'' The hostess who was a happy brunette girl asked them.

''Yes, it's on Hale'' Noah told her with a smile, which instantly made the hostess blush and look down at the floor, avoiding his eyes.

''Follow me this way, please'' She told them as she looked at Desiree with a smile and started to walk towards their table.

On their way, Desiree noticed that most of the people were couples but there were some families and groups of friends here and there, the place was packed and it was really beautiful as-well.

They sat down on their table which was situated near a window, whenever they went out to eat they always chose the table near the window because Desiree loved to look outside, and sometimes they would watch the people passing by and make up stories about them.

''Would you like some wine while you decided on what to order?'' The hostess asked them with a smile, she was still avoiding Noah's gaze.

''Yes please, can we have a Chardonnay?'' Noah ordered.

''Right away, sir'' And with that, she rushed off to get us our wine.

''This is a really nice place'' Desiree told him with a smile as she grabbed the menu and was deciding on what she should choose.

''Yeah it really is and the food looks delicious as-well.'' He replied.

After a few minutes had passed the hostess returned with the wine and asked them if they were ready to order.

''I will have the braised beef short rib, please'' Desiree ordered.

''And I will have the Roasted duck breast, thank you,'' Noah said, and after that, we were left alone once again.

They made small conversation while they waited for the food to arrive, apparently a new puppy had arrived at the animal shelter where Noah worked and he was thinking about adopting him, and he was going to graduate soon.

While they were talking about their future together Desiree's eyes moved to a family who had just arrived at the restaurant and her eyes met the beautiful green ones of the guy with the two adults who was wearing a black t-shirt and black ripped jeans.

Her eyes instantly lit up and a grin formed on her face, which was similar to that on his face. Noah noticed how she had suddenly become distracted and turned around to look at what had caught his girlfriend's attention.

''He should have worn a suit and brushed that hair of his to come to a place like this,'' Noah said as he gave him a death glare and he was soon given one by Desiree.

Elliot told something to who seemed to be his parents and walked towards Desiree's and Noah's table with a grin on his face and without breaking eye contact with her.

''You look beautiful as always Desiree'' He told her as he bent down and kissed her cheek after he had given a stiff nod to Noah.

''Thank you Elliot'' She told him with a small smile.

''So what are you doing here? Are you celebrating a special occasion?'' Elliot asked.

''Yes, in fact, we are celebrating our seven-year anniversary'' Noah told him with a proud voice as he sent a smile in Desiree's direction.

She just stood there surprised, she had forgotten that it was their anniversary and they had been together for seven years. That was a really long time and she couldn't help but wonder if she was making the right decision by staying with him.

''Congratulations to both of you, I wish you many more,'' Elliot told them with a sarcastic voice. ''Desiree may I talk to you for a minute please.'' He added.

''You can say whatever you have to say in front of me!'' Noah told him rudely, which earned him a glare from Desiree.

''Don't worry Noah, I will be back in a minute'' She told him as she got up from the comfortable antique chair and stood next to Elliot. Even though she was wearing heels he was still taller than her and she had to look up to talk to him.

''Let's go, I want to be here when my food arrives.'' She told Elliot as she started to make her way out of the crowded dining area of the restaurant with Elliot following close behind her. They got out of the restaurant and decided to take a little walk in the garden that was joined with the restaurant.

After a few moments of silence Desiree decided to break the silence.

''Look Elliot what do you want? I don't want to keep Noah waiting.'' She told him as she stopped in front of him and crossed her arms.

''Desiree you know that all I want is you! How can you stay with that son of a bitch? Can't you see that there is something more to him? He is fucking playing you Desiree!'' He practically yelled at her, she just stood there shocked with her mouth open.

''I have been thinking about if I am doing the right decision staying with him, but I don't know Elliot. The truth is that I have grown feelings for someone else and I don't know what I should do. I am so confused!'' She told him in exasperation.

''Who is this other asshole?'' He asked her as he grabbed her by the shoulders to make her look up at him.

''It's you, Elliot, I have feelings for you okay?'' She yelled at him as she turned around, but she was quickly turned around by a pair of strong arms.

''Why the fuck didn't you say so?'' He told her as he slammed his lips on to hers.

She immediately forgot about her confused thoughts and wrapped her arms around his neck as she kissed him with as much passion as he was kissing her. She granted him entrance and she could feel his tongue in her mouth as they moved in perfect sync. She moved her hand in his unruly hair as he moved his big hands down her back and gave a slight squeeze to her ass as she let out a small giggle.

They stopped the kiss to catch their breath as they were both breathing heavily with their foreheads resting with each other and their arms still around each other.

''I have been waiting for this for so long'' Elliot told her as he looked in her beautiful dark brown eyes.

''I guess that I have been waiting for this as-well without knowing'' And with that, they continued what they had stopped.

A few minutes later she walked back in the restaurant with Elliot after he had made sure that she didn't look like she had had a heavy make-out session with another guy who wasn't her boyfriend.

''When will I see you again?'' He asked her before he took her back to her table.

''Hopefully soon, but I have to break up with Noah first, I already feel guilty that I cheated on him on our anniversary.'' She replied.

''You don't have to feel guilty, you did what your heart told you to.'' He said as he placed a kiss on her forehead. ''Now let's take you to that bastard.'' And with that, she walked back to her table and he went to sit with his family.

''What took you so long? Your food must have got cold!'' Noah told her as she sat back in her seat.

''I'm sorry Noah, it's just that we had to clear something up, don't worry about it'' She told him before she took a bite of her food, the guilt that she was feeling was killing her.

After she had finished eating and Noah had generously paid for their meal they left the restaurant after she had said goodbye to Elliot, who had been bombarded by his father and stepmother on who was Desiree but he gave them no answers and ignored them. It was none of their business.

During the car ride home, they didn't say anything to one another, and Desiree couldn't help but feel that he knew exactly what had happened in the garden.

They arrived back at her house quicker than usual and he parked the car, but none of them made a move to get out.

''Desiree what is going on?'' He asked her as he turned look at her with a confused look in his eyes.

''Nothing is wrong, it's just that I'm feeling a little sick and I have a lot on my mind right now.'' She lied to him, it was the first time that she had done that.

''I understand, go inside and have a warm cup of tea in your bed and I'm sure that you will be fine by tomorrow, at least that's what your mother says.'' He told her with a smile.

She couldn't help but think that he was such a sweet guy and he didn't deserve to have his girlfriend cheat on him on their seven-year anniversary. She was probably the worst person on Earth.

''Thank you so much for everything Noah, it means a lot. Goodbye now and goodnight.'' She told him as she gave him a kiss on his cheek.

''Why does it feel like you are saying goodbye forever Dessie?'' He asked her with concern.

''I don't know Noah, but I'm only saying goodbye for today. Take care and if you need anything text me.'' She told him as she took the flowers from the back seat and got out of his car with one last look at him before he drove away.

When she walked inside her house she was instantly bombarded by questions from her parents about how the date went and where he had taken her. She gave them a brief summary of her night, leaving the part of her make-out session with Elliot out of course, and after that, she went up to her bedroom.

She grabbed her phone from her nightstand and sent a message to her best friend, Mia.

I need to talk to you asap, love you and text me as soon as you get this message! xx

She needed her best friend's help on what she would do to not break Noah's heart more than she already had, but most of all she just missed her best friend.
