SLADE'S POV
Death, darkness, blood.
Those were the words fit to describe who I am exactly.
I destroy whatever I lay my hands on.
Infact, I'm a destroyer, and right now, I have my eyes on Kaid's little fragile sister.
I felt the need to destroy her, bend her and break her, until there was no part of her which was left useful.
She happens to be a fragile girl who knows absolutely nothing about how wicked the world outside her manor is.
A princess living in a manor, or rather a castle.
Ember just walked into the devil's den, and left? There isn't an option for that.
I was still staring until she disappeared out of the field.
“ Don't you fucking dare mess with my sister.” Kaid's voice jolted me out of my chaotic thoughts.
“ Or what?” I smirked, taking a step closer to him. “ I think I'm interested in your little princess. I will certainly enjoy breaking her until there's no part of her left.”
“ Fuck you bastard!” Kaid launched at me, locking my shirt into a fist, but I stood, my eyes locked on his.
Unhinged and unfazed.
“ I'm already fucked up, don't you know?” I laughed, and almost immediately, he threw a punch at me, causing my lips to burst.
“ Trust me, I won't let you off if you dare mess with my sister, psychopath!” Kaid warned, storming out of the field afterwards.
Once he was gone, a dark smirk graced my lips, as I ran my tongue over my bloody lips, the taste of blood coating my tongue.
For some reason, I found it thrilling and fun to mess with the whole Leighton family.
It was once fun when I was messing with Kaid in terms of grades, since we are both medical students, but it isn't fun anymore.
I would love to take a step further.
Messing with his little sister would be more thrilling, wouldn't it?
“ Hope you aren't planning to do what I'm thinking?” Ricky, one of my friends said from behind, causing me to cock my brows.
“ I don't know what exactly you're thinking,” I said and leaned closer to him, our faces just an inch away from each other. “ But, I'm doing exactly what you're thinking.”
“ Don't Sin, she's too fragile for your torments.” Caden, my best friend implored.
“ But I give zero fucks about that.” I shrugged with a nonchalant look on my face. “ Messing with people is my specialty, and Leighton's princess isn't escaping me.”
With that said, I walked out of the field.
While I was the king of Ravenswood College, Kaid happens to be the prince, as said by the students.
They can't be two kings ruling over a kingdom, and for that fact, Kaid hates me with every bloody fibre in him.
But do I care? No, I don't.
I've always been a top student right from childhood, a genius.
And the fact that I always come out first despite my lateness to class and sometimes my absence, it always angered Kaid.
He is the second overall best student in Ravenswood, while I'm the first and that is why I will forever remain the king.
Kaid might be a genius, but I was born a genius.
A Psychopath genius.
An unhinged and unfazed bloody bastard, who was born with no human emotions.
Sometimes, I wonder why people react to things with emotions. It makes them look stupid.
Emotions like anger, jealousy, hatred, love, tears, all those are attributes leading to their destruction.
I am fucking grateful I wasn't born with emotions.
*********
Walking down the hallway leading to the changing room, my eyes met with her once again, but she was the first to look away.
I could feel the fear which surged through her brain like wildfire.
She was afraid of me, and that feeling was thrilling and exciting.
She was speaking with her other brother, Thane, who had no idea that I was staring at their little princess like a predator ready to devour his prey.
“ This isn't a good idea, Sin.” Caden caught up with me in no time, and continued his rants. “ You will definitely regret this action of yours in due time.”
I had thought of walking away before he continued ranting, but I jerked to a stop at his latter words.
Regret? That would probably be the last thing that would ever happen to me.
I don't regret my actions, even if I kill the president's daughter.
“ Regret you say?” I jerked my chin towards him, staring at him with those dark eyes of mine, under my thick lashes.
“ Yes, Sin.” Caden heaved a sigh. “ You might see it as fun now, but what about later? What about her? What will you do with her once you're done breaking her?”
He said, dragging his gaze towards Ember who was still speaking with her brother, Thane.
“ I guess you don't know me that much, do you?” I chuckled, swiping my tongue over my lips. “ I don't regret anything related to human emotions. You should know that by now, since we've been friends for over a decade.”
“ I know that very well, Sin.” He groaned. “ Making her your doll for something she knows absolutely nothing about, it doesn't make sense at all.”
“ I don't do things that make sense, Caden.” I smirked darkly. “ That is why I'm called Sin.”
With that said, I turned around and walked out of the hallway, heading to the changing room to have a change of clothes.
“ She will be paying for her brother's sins, and I will be the judge of that.” I smiled.
Once I was done changing, I made my way out of the changing room, only to come across Thane at the entrance.
A smile graced my lips.
“ I guess you've heard already.”
“ Don't mess with my sister.” He said calmly.
Unlike Kaid, Thane happens to be the calm type who stays away from troubles.
“ And what if I mess with her?” I asked, my brows raised.
“ I might be calm, but dangerous at the same time.” He took a step closer. “ When it comes to Ember, I don't joke with her.”
“ Is that a challenge?” I clicked my tongue, the smile on my lips suddenly disappearing.
“ You and that bastard brother of yours makes me want to mess with her even more..”
