Chapter 9

Eleonora woke up in the morning and found herself in Zanvil's room. But Zanvil wasn't there. She quickly got up and left the room. She knew Zanvil had put her there. But she was still afraid that he would get mad if he found her there. He was a clean freak after all.

After having shower and getting changed She went to the kitchen to cook something. She noticed Zanvil wasn't at home. She made herself some pancakes with peanut butter, some fruit salad,  bacon, and mango juice. She started eating quietly.

Eleonora was browsing on her laptop. Suddenly one article caught her  attention. When she read it she found it was about her husband and a famous model. There was few pictures of them in some parties. They were so close and intimate. Eleonora closed her laptop and leaned on the couch. Few other website also gossiped about them. In the picture Zanvil had his arms wrapped around the model's and they were laughing. They seemed were in a party.

Suddenly her heart felt heavy. She couldn't breathe. Silent tears ran down to her cheeks. Maybe that girl was his girlfriend or lover.  That was why he couldn't accept her and their baby.

Her hand went to her stomach. She caressed it affectionately. She couldn't fall weak. She had to be strong. She wouldn't let anyone see her weak. Those people who didn't value her didn't deserve to see her tears. She was more than that. Everyone crushes an emotional person so she had buried all her emotion in her heart. Only she was allowed to see her emotion and miserable state. No one else. So no one else can take advantage of her weak emotion.

Suddenly she missed her home. She wanted to go home. She wanted to visit the orphanage and visit those sweet faces who brought her immense happiness. She closed her eyes and made a decision.

Eleonora packed her small luggage. She wanted to go to Italy. Her home. She knew Zanvil wouldn't care about her. He wouldn't stop her. She just needed to ask him once. That's it.

When Zanvil came home she immediately went to him.

"I want to go home" she said softly

"What?" He asked. He didn't understand what did she mean by she wanted to go home. Wasn't it her home? With him? He quickly dismissed his absorb thoughts.

"I said I want to go to my home. I want to go to Italy. To my family." She again said in a small but clear voice.

Zanvil observed her intensely. So she wanted to go away from him? To her family? Wasn't he also part of her family?  Maybe she was missing Daniel. That's why she wanted to leave him and ran into his arms. Just like before.

His face turned cold at his thoughts.

"Then go. No one is stopping you. " he said coldly.

Eleonora smiled at him softly.

"Thank you. I knew you won't have any problem. I just wanted to inform you that I'm leaving tomorrow morning." She said softly and left the room without bothering to hear his further words.

She knew he wouldn't care nor would stop her.

Zanvil watched her exiting the room. He glared at her back. She didn't change at all. She was the same girl from 5 years ago. He hated her for that.

"Are you sure dear you want to go? I mean you are pregnant it would be stressful for you to journey for so long." Rose said with a concern voice while helping Nora to pack her things.

"Don't worry Rose. I will be fine. I really miss my home. I just need to go there. It's been so long." Nora replied in a emotional voice.

"Don't be upset dear. Everything will be alright soon." Rose said with a warm smile Nora nodded.

"Please make sure to take good care of my plants. I can't bear anything bad happening to them." Nora said to Rose in a pleading voice. She felt bad leaving all the plans here. But she was helpless.

"Don't worry dare I will make sure to take a good care of your plants." Rose said with a smile. Nora smiled at her before saying good night. The elderly woman left her there and headed back to her home.

Nora decided to call her Nonna since it's been few days since she talked to her. Her Nonna Marianne received the call after few rings.

"Nora, honey. How are you? So finally you remembered your Nonna?" Marianne said from the other said and Nora laughed.

"I'm good Nonna. How are you? And how could I forget you? You are my sweet Nonna after all." She said with a smile.

"I'm good and don't try to bribe me with your sugar coated words. Tell me why didn't you come to visit me let alone call me?" Marianne scolded her granddaughter playfully.

"I was just busy Nonna. With life." She heaved a sigh. She felt guilty for avoiding meeting her Nonna. She knew if she met her Nonna she would find everything happening in her life. Marianne knew she loved Zanvil and he didn't love her. She couldn't hide anything from her Nonna.

"How's the liitle one? Is the Italian boy treating you right?" Marianne asked from the other side worriedly.

"Your little one is alright don't worry." Nora replied and ignored the other question.

"Why don't you tell him that you love him?" Suddenly Marianne said out of blue making Nora flinch.

"I can't Nonna. He doesn't feel the same." Nora said with a heavy feeling.

"You must take the risk honey." She said Nora sighed. How could she take the risk when he hated her and her baby? How could she take the risk knowing it wasn't worthy? She would be disappointed and heartbroken like before. So it's better without taking any risk.

"I'm leaving for Italy tomorrow." She said in a small voice.

"That's good. Is Zanvil going with you?" Marianne asked her.

"No. He's busy. I will be going on my own. I didn't inform Mama cause I want to surprise her. Please don't tell her anything." Nora said.

"Okay.  Take care of yourself and have a safe journey. Call me after you reach Italy." Marianne said in a commanding voice. Nora smiled at her concern.

"I will. Take care. I will call you later. Love you" Nora said and blew a kiss.

"Love you too, honey." Marianne laughed and said. Nora then cut the call smiling. She felt happy talking to her Nonna.

She kept her phone aside and laid down on her bed while closing her eyes.
